CALL OF THEWILD
Kanix rapped on the door to the house of the young nobleman, stepping back and waiting for the door to be answered. She half expected the nobleman to answer it, but was pleasantly surprised when one of the butlers of the house greeted her. The dark mage, who was dressed up in a rather provocative, maybe even a little bit of a suggesting, red dress, smiled briefly at the butler.
"I'm here to escort the young nobleman to the banquet," Kanix explained her presence to the butler, who eyed her down. He didn't say anything to her though, but beckoned for her to take a step inside of the mansion of a house. She took a step inside, off to the side, and waited for the nobleman to come around, so that they could leave. The place wasn't as large as Sol's castle, not in the least bit, but it was a mansion for those who never lived in a castle.
"The young master will be down shortly. I will go check up on him to see that he is hopefully ready for your presence," the butler spoke. With that being said, Kanix listened as the butler disappeared around the corner, never to be heard from again. While she had assumed he had truly gone off to check on the "young master", it was only moments later that the nobleman appeared. She quickly turned on her heels to face the royalty, bowing slightly at his presence to greet herself to him.
"Ah! You must be my escort! What a lovely dress you're wearing," the nobleman complimented Kanix, "I'm Reginald Hoffstatter."
"Kanix Laspor of. . . Fairy Tail," the dark mage lied to the man, curtsying again before straightening herself at his beckon. "Does this mean that you are ready to be escorted to the banquet then, Sir Hoffstatter?" She tilted her head some.
"Yes, yes! By all means, let us take the journey to the banquet. I had the butler get out carriage ready for the trip!" Reginald replied. He quickly grabbed her arm without the gentleness she had expected to be given, such as the gentleness from Sol. Abruptly, they walked out of the mansion and down to the carriage, where Reginald helped her into the buggy. He would climb in next to her and sit himself down before speaking, "I don't really wish to go to this banquet, but Father is making me."
"I see. How come you don't wish to go?" Kanix asked, turning her attention to him as the carriage lurched forward and began moving.
"Simply because the people there have treated my deceased mother like. . . pardon my French. . . shit," he replied.
"Oh, I understand now. Well, I suppose I don't blame you. I never knew my parents, but I'm sure I would feel the same if I were in your situation," the shaman stated in sympathy.
"No matter, I will simply have to deal with being at the banquet until its over, and hopefully, Father won't make me go again," Reginald nearly spat out.
"I doubt it will be that bad," Kanix pointed out, moving closer to the nobleman and wrapping her hands around his arms. "I bet you will have a lot more fun there than you think you will. If not, I will create some fun for you!"
"Joyous! I look forward to that fun," he exclaimed, looking down at her and smiling graciously at the blind woman.
Before long, the carriage pulled to a stop in front of the place that the banquet was being held at, and Reginald scooted out of the buggy. He pulled back the curtain and offered his hand, in which the woman took carefully and was helped out of the carriage. She escorted the young nobleman into the build, holding close to him for her own guidance, but following her senses as well. Inside, the building was just as busy, with noblemen and woman all around the place, chatting with each other. Kanix grimaced at the loud sounds and turned to Reginald with a dark look on her face, one that suggest mischievousness.
"My lord, half of these people in here are thinking such rude things about your family, and on top of that, they're gossiping about it!" Kanix lied. The nobleman didn't know her magic, she could easily lie to him and say that she could read people's minds. "How rude they are! I can't believe half of the things they are saying about you and your family. I just can't believe it! They're saying that your mother wasn't worth the time of your father, and that your father is a two-faced manwhore! Is that true? Is he really a manwhore? Has he slept with women other than your mother? How disgusting!"
Reginald frowned and pushed her away from him, believing that she was repeating the truth she heard. "My Father is a wonderful man and no way in hell has he slept with other women than my mother! He should be respected and seen as one of the best CEO managers in this damned city!" the man shouted. Everyone had turned to look at Reginald now, but instead of being embarrassed, Kanix had flustered him into rage. So, the first thing that he had done was turn to the first man closest to them and punch him in the face.
Kanix stood by as the young nobleman started an all-out war in the banquet area, but soon sidled off to the side. She didn't want to be seen by the other people because they already knew she was the nobleman's escort. The longer she stayed around, the more chances she had at being discovered that she was not from Fairy Tail and sabotaged the entire event. Without a second thought to her actions, the dark mage turned on her way, running from the event, so as not to get caught.
