All of the spirits disappeared right in front of Rae, leaving only the white man in front of her. He said that he will give her strength, after slamming his staff onto the ground, immediately changing their surroundings to those of a gorgeous starry sky and a white platform, which she stood on. Looking around she noted that it was indeed a beautiful sight. Looking back at the man however her eyes narrowed. “Ghelgath!” She shouted in annoyance at her demon weapon, which in return gave a wave of cold air off. It, along with the Lord of Frost, was held by the white man who was playing around with them. The Duchess attempted to approach the man calmly and get them back, however he simply moved to the other side of the platform and two old, weak swords would appear in front of her. “It seems that you've lost your property." The reaper stated mockingly, smirking at the Duchess. Rae’s only response was to send him a freezing glare. Oh if looks could kill… “Entertain me and I will return them to you.” He told her before floating off beyond her reach.
After the man vanished out of Rae’s eyesight twelve pillars appeared in front of her. They each had a different symbol engraved into them and a different name floating above them. Scanning them her eyes landed on the one which had the word “Fire” floating above it. Oh how much she would struggle against it, if she was to fight it with Ghelgath and the Lord of Frost. Running a hand through her hair, the Duchess looked at the next one which said “Water.” This one on the other hand wasn’t going to be hard to defeat at all if she had her weapons. IF she had them. The devil blood inside of Rae boiled in annoyance at her situation. Wind and Earth were both elements which had neutral affinity towards her, she would have to go through quite the hassle to beat either. The next two elements were Venom and Thunder… they were something the Duchess hadn’t faced a lot and she did not feel that this was the appropriate time for her to do so head on with a pair of almost-useless swords. The last pair of elements however caused the devil to let out a sigh of relief. Light and Dark. Her affinity towards one of those was so obvious. Scanning the elements a second time she picked the two fragile swords up, one in each hand and approached the first pillar, a small smirk tugging to appear on her lips at her plan. It was no wonder that she was once the leading female of the Havoc family- she was a brilliant strategist.
Touching the pillar above which the text of “fire” floated caused a golem to appear and angrily swing a fist at Rae. Adrenaline pumped through the veins of the nineteen year old female as she ran from it, barely dodging a fireball that flew her way. She could feel the golem following her causing her to look around for the next part of her master plan at defeating these things. Speeding up, the Duchess dodged another fireball before reaching the pillar of the Water element. The Devil however had no intention of stopping in front of it as she ran on top of it for a couple of seconds before it turned into the water golem. A small smirk appeared on her face as she jumped down from it and ran towards the fire golem, stopping just for a second and sticking her tongue out at the water golem. Just as the fire golem attempted to hit Rae, she went under his legs, successfully dodging both the attack from the fire golem and a huge wave of water which came from the water elemental. Smoke came off of the Fire elemental as it turned around to look at the Duchess. “Try again, flame brain.” She taunted before slicing through the now weakened fire elemental with one of the old swords.
There was no time to savor the victory however as she got hit by a sphere of water. Biting her lower lip, the Duchess immediately ran towards the Earth pillar, barely dodging another sphere of water. Those things were hot, and the previous one definitely burned. Touching the pillar of Earth summoned a large brown golem just in time for Rae to use it as a shield against another one of the hot water spheres. Rae’s red orbs landed back on the water elemental as she sprinted towards it, sprouting her devil wings and flying up just before it fired another attack at her. The earth golem, which stood behind Rae took the attack again causing a look of annoyance to appear on its face. It launched an attack at the water element, completely taking it down in the Duchess’ favor. The devil then flew over to the wind elemental’s pillar and sat on top of it cockily as it transformed. The earth elemental attempted to throw a large rock at the nobility, stupidly hitting the wind golem in the head instead. “Nice try.” The female mage commented as she flew around the Earth golem like an annoying fly, immediately putting it as a target for the wind elemental. The process was, funnily enough repeated with both thunder and venom as elements. Rae had happily realized that these brainless protectors of nothing were quite stupid and that they could potentially wipe each other out. Using this knowledge to her advantage the red-haired female landed a finishing strike on the tired Venom golem before her eyes landed on the Light and Dark elements.
Calmly walking up to the pillar of light and touching it, she jumped back as the elemental appeared. It glared at its challenger and immediately fired a pillar of light energy at her. Dodging it swiftly, Rae ran towards it and jumped up in front of it, swinging her swords at it, giving it a couple of cuts here and there before getting hit by the golem’s large arm which sent her flying to the other side of the platform. The Duchess was actually intending to fight it head on but…What do you think stood on the opposite of the light element? The Dark element, of course. Summoning the dark golem as well put the Duchess in a difficult defensive and offensive position. Rae spread her wings and flew up, dodging fire from both sides of the platform by just a couple of centimeters. Changing her grip on the good-for-nothing weapons, she decided to hold them with the hilt up and the blade down, hoping that when she flew by the elementals, she would leave scars by just spread her hands. Deciding to actually attempt that crazy plan, the Havoc Heiress flew towards the light golem, spinning around it in circles, leaving cuts and scratches and flying behind it just in time to dodge a finishing blow from the light elemental.
“So, you think you can defeat me?” Rae taunted, her face showed no emotion, however her tone was sarcastic. Running up to the golem she swung her swords several times at it’s foot, rolling over just in time to dodge it’s huge fist, which would’ve honestly turned her into a pancake. If she had either the Lord of Frost or Ghelgath, that thing would’ve already be sent into oblivion. Jumping up in order to hit it’s eyes, the Duchess got grazed by a claw of darkness which ripped a part of her body suit, revealing her bare shoulder and back. The red-haired female’s eyes started glowing crimson as she felt a bit annoyed at this occurrence. Slipping in between its legs and jumping on its back, Rae dealt several strikes to the annoying dark elemental before kicking it in anger, causing it to topple over. Dealing a final blow, the Duchess watched as the golem disappeared. Looking back at her clothes, she sighed and ran a hand through her long red hair in frustration. “Was that entertaining enough?” She asked, still keeping her calm and cool composure as she ripped off the rest of her body suit. She would rather fight in underwear than have little bits and pieces of her suit tripping her.
