Underneath that layer of dust, Frederick could distinguish a circular mark here and there. A water ring, a stain left behind from a cup. Obviously pointing out that the woman who used this room, spend quite some time here. Working probably. Assessing the guild and its members.
Frederick sighed, while glaring from one object to another. Guessing which one reflected her the best. Hoping to give an answer to a rather ill question. Namely, where the hell was she.
It had been over two weeks now, since Hikari. His guild master vanished, or disappeared on a job what was supposed to be nothing more then a routine task. A simple objective that could have easily been done by someone of her stature. Yet something had happened, something even Frederick wasn't aware off and left him with nothing but questions. The moment Hikari didn't report in, Frederick started to get suspicious. As his master always reported in, or better wanted him to report in. Which obviously he never did, leaving it always to her to call him and ask on the status of the guild or what not.
So he traveled, taking one of the airships, along with one of the members. One who also had noticed the absence of the master by now. And started to trail her route. Only to encounter quite an horrific sight.
There in the Forgotten deserts itself, not even remotely close to the location of his masters job, they came upon the debris of her own personal ship. Broken and destroyed, it's pieces scattered all over the sand. Slowly being swallowed by the endless desert. Yet any evidence of Hikari or her paramour being present was not there.
This left him with an unanswered question, a question Frederick now had to relate to the rest of the guild. Before they panicked or started to point fingers and blame others for a crime they didn't commit. But before he was planning on addressing the guild at all, he had to discuss this. Come up with a plan. As the future of Sabertooth hang in the balance. Uncertain and wiggling around, ready to flip at any second and tumble to its destruction.
One of specific persons was the very member he had brought with him on the sky ship, Kite. Simply to confirm their findings, as well as he knew what was going on. There were two more of Sabertooth coming, one Ryo an high ranking mage in the guild. One that shared an adventure or two with Frederick. One that Frederick reluctantly called a friend. The other Sabertooth mage was the ace of the guild. A young girl, a nun with a righteous mind, that preferred to bleed if it meant saving other people.
Then there was the last person of their meeting, Ardere, guild master of Infinity Hydra and a previous member of Sabertooth. A great and proud mage, and above all a good friend to Hikari. A person that very well deserved to know what was going on, not only because of his friendship, but also since he was the co-leader of the Sabertooth, Infinity Hydra alliance.
