Whisp is a small, dragon-like creature that seems to shine like the universe itself. It seems to have a great lacking of scales seeing as most of its body is covered in fur like that of a winter coat. The entire creature is quite small, about the size of an average humans head, yet it’s length is about triple its height when including the snake like tail is sports. Both its scales and fur fades into a multitude of colors. Hues of pinks, purples, blues, golds, and greens paint its body. A certain sparkle seems to glow from its skin, as if it was sprinkled with bits of multicolored glitter here and there. It has no sharp claws, but rounded nails. Its feet resemble that of talons and are expected to be quite sharp, yet are surprisingly comfortable to having gripping you. Wings about the size of a large hand spread out from its back, rounded claws poking out from the flesh. The colors are quite a bit darker than the rest of its body, yet are highlight by a bright flurry of colors. Rounded, dulled, spikes line down their spine yet end somewhere mid back before fading into fur that curls upward into resembling the previous spikes.
A leather belt circles its waist, a small pouch resting against the base of their tail. The leather pouch glows as it’s surrounded by the multitude of flashy colors, the gem centered on it sparkling like a precious opal. It’s hard to determine what’s inside the pouch other than a small jar that looks like that of a honey jar. A golden crescent moon facing downward painted on the glass bottle. Inside the jar is what the creature and most refer to as ‘moon dust’ yet resembles and simple powdery, glitter. A small golden anklet curls around their right hind leg. A dark, midnight purple gem glitters and shines in the middle of the line of gold, contrasting greatly against the bright shades of their leg.
This creature doesn’t live out in the open though and only appears once the door to where they live is opened. They could survive for years, thousands of years, within that one box. This particular ones survives within a small, purple box that looks as if the each individual star was painted on. It’s a simple, present looking box about the size of a large novel. The box holds utterly no value other than it’s the home of the creature and is the only possible home for them. The box for all of their kind is like an alternate universe. The inside of the box, once the lid is closed, transforms into a small world for the creature. For Whisp, it is a small universe of stars and deep darkness. Clouds of pinks and oranges, smoke of purple and green, star dust of blues and reds scatter throughout the entire small world they have. But all of it is a magical illusion built for the creature. They’re boxes can also be used to store small items of their owner, but usually these items have to be smaller than the creature seeing as their is a constricted amount of space within the boxy dimension.
PERSONALITY
You could say, for a decent fact, Whisp resembles a creature that’d be silent and preferred to keep to only those they were comfortable with. Yet, they find themselves greatly loving the attention anyone gives them. They enjoy the company of others and when closed away in the box, does not realize how shut off they really are. They will obediently follow their owner for the entire of that owners life before passed along. Despite their uselessness in battle, they’re more commonly used for emotional support and simply comfort, or even something pretty to look at. They are more or less oblivious to the hate or abandon their owner may feel for them. They actually take things like being shut away in their box for more than a year, very hurtful seeing as they feed of being social and physical touch.
Yet Whisp finds themselves to be a fairly simple character. They aren’t that chatty despite fluently knowing almost any language and while loving sociableness, dislike crowding presences, finding it excruciatingly uncomfortable. They also seem to enjoy their box more than most of their kind, but, they also find it a depressive place.
Abilities:
Basic Ability - SPEECH
With the ability of speech, Whisp can communicate with humans yet they never really speak. They aren’t constricted to language and seem to speak every single language fluently with the occasional exception. They’re often used as translators for their owners.
Basic Ability - FLIGHT
With the ability of flight, Whisp can fly basic distances. Thankfully they’re small and light, making it so they can easily fly long distances as long as they aren’t caring extra weight. They can usually fly for about 4 posts before having to rest for 5 posts. This makes it so it’s usually easy for them to carry messages.
