The lost path [Anastasia/Nya]

Chapter 9:

~ Why exactly did we come here, Anastasia?  There's nothing important out here.  And besides, magic doesn't work out here.  Your songs will be nothing more than organized sounds. ~ the large creature she rode on spoke to her telepathically.  Thankfully the creature's ability to speak directly into Anastasia's mind isn't an implementation of magic.  The creature grumbled as it paraded down one of the streets, holding Anastasia on it's back.  

Anastasia sat on the creature princess-style due to the large guitar-case attached to the creature's other-side.  A megaphone flops around as the creature walked, slapping the guitar case repeatedly as the big orange lion-dog-hybrid walked through the industrial city.  A big smile came across Anastasia's face as she witnessed progress and advancement.  Technology that she hadn't encountered before!  Everything here was so exciting!  While Anastasia had a natural affinity for singing, she also had a natural affinity for technology.

"We're here for the circuitry and mechanics, Sasha," she said to the creature.  Her eyes still plastered across the city's elaborate technology.   She was a big child inside of a toy store.  Her attention was taken away from the site as she noticed a slight debacle relatively near to her.  The girl looked obviously lost.  That makes two of them.  However, numbers are generally important when it comes to things like that, right?

"Hey, Sasha?" Anastasia asked as she pat the creature on the side.

~ Yeah, yeah. ~ responded the creature telepathically as it turned towards the little lost girl, and turned to have Anastasia showing towards her, leaving the creature perpendicular with the one known simply as Nya.  

"You look a little lost there.  Looks like we have something in common," she said to Nya with a big smile upon her face.  Though, Anastasia's 'lost' is a bit different from Nya's.  Anastasia intentionally came here while Nya mistakenly thought this was somewhere else.  "My name is Anastasia, what's yours?" Anastasia wore her green outfit, having her legs closed and her knees pointed towards the head of the creature.  With the way Nya looked, she wasn't a homeless beggar.  Maybe a lost traveler.

Anastasia raised an eyebrow as she got tackle-hugged by the pink-haired girl.  Who would name their child Nya?  Did her parents have a love for cats or did her parents absolutely hate her?  Either way, she was just absolutely adorable.  Perhaps her and Almyra need to have a contest with one another to determine who's more adorable.  The girl's response made Ana get stuck for a moment.

"Rosen Garden?" she asked to herself.  She had no idea where that was.  The place had nothing to do with music or electronics, so she didn't really bother.   A compliment was tossed her way, causing Ana to rub the back of her head and laugh a bit.  "Well, I don't know about that.  There are probably good souls all over here if you look hard enough," she says with a bit of a chuckle.  

As Nya approached Sasha's face, it leaned in and sniffed the girl's face.  

~ Don't do it, Sasha!  Don't do... ~ she said mentally to the creature before the creature licked Nya's face.  It's tongue was as wide as Nya's face, licking the girl all over her face and even some of her hair.  ~ Okay, that's enough, Sasha. ~ Anastasia said telepathically to the creature as she moved her hands upon the animal and pulled it away from Nya's face.

"Yes.  He doesn't turn 'all-cat' to just anyone and he's usually very protective," she said putting a strained emphasis on last word.  Clearing her throat, she re-mounted onto Sasha and held her hand down towards Nya.  "We'll get there faster upon Nya.  Get on and hold on tight," she said with a big bright smile upon her face.

"Oh?  His name is Sasha.  He's special to me and my family," she said as she put her hand upon the creature's mane and rubbed the top of his head.  However, it didn't take long after Nya boarded for her to begin to fall asleep.  A smile was given to the little sleeping girl before she slapped herself on the forehead.  She knew her destination was this place called 'Rosen Garden' but she didn't know a thing about that place.  Or rather, if it even existed.

Well, perhaps she had to figure out where this 'Rosen Garden' place is before she made the trek there.  Before leaving the city, she asked around for the location of her final destination.  The majority of the people shrugged their shoulders and walked away, not understanding what Anastasia was saying.  It wasn't until she met a very flamboyantly-dressed man that she received an answer.

The man adjusted his hair over his shoulder while also adjusting the position of his large feathered hat.  The man looked at Anastasia, the creature, and the sleeping girl and scoffed.  "My, what does a rag-tag group like you need with a wonderful place like the ROSE Garden?" the man said emphasizing the word Rose due to Anastasia's mispronunciation of the word.  

"Well, this girl is lost and she's traveling there," she said in reference to the pink haired girl sleeping while mounted on the creature.  "So I was wondering if you could give me general directions on how to get there.  It would be much apprecia--" she said as she got interrupted by the colorful man.

"But you aren't glamorous enough.  You look like you're from the military with all that..." the man said with a pause before vomiting out the word "gree~~~~~n," he said in disgust.  

"Could you at least..."
"No!  I told you, you aren't glamorous enough!  Put on something more glamorous and I'll tell you how to get there!" the man shouted out of impatience.  Anastasia realized this man was quick to be annoyed, so she decided to take advantage of this.

"Oh, c'mon, it's not THAT big of a deal is it?" she asked with a foxy grin upon her face as she saw the man steadily grow more and more annoyed at Ana's pestering and picking.

"Shut up!  Oh!  Shut up!!  I will not tell someone dressed like a pleb!" the man shouted as he stomped his foot on the ground several times.

Anastasia smiled as Nya woke up upon Sasha.  It shook quickly, wiggling all of it's body as if trying to brush off water from itself.  Anastasia cleared her throat and waved to Nya as she woke up.  "Oh, don't worry about this guy.  He knows how to get to Rose Garden, but won't tell us because we don't look 'glamorous' enough," Anastasia explained, stressing the word 'glamorous' in a mocking manner.  

"Apparently, dressing in something comfortable isn't considered glamorous.  To be honest, I'm thinking of threatening him to tell us how to get there by using intense pain as a 'motivator'.  But that would be a terrible display, hm?" she asked while still retaining a smile on her face and she tilted her head at the final hm.   This caused the flamboyant man to reel back a bit before turning to look towards Nya for a moment.

"Oh my!  You're quite the brute.  I should speak to this more glamorous girl.  And besides, her boobs are so much better than yours!" the flamboyant man said as he bounced over towards Nya.  Anger is obviously apparent on Ana's face as she holds herself back from cleaning his clock.   "Now you, I'll tell.  You seem much more glamorous than that flat-chested rogue.  At least -YOU- look like a woman," the man said with taunting laughter.

The man then cleared his throat and strung a rose through his lips.  "But before I tell you, I would like to spend dinner with you," the man said as he bounced his eyebrows.  And from the corner of his eye, Anastasia could be seen winding up only to swing at absolutely nothing.  The man did seem quite fast and able to dodge a hit if he had to.  This caused Anastasia to blink inquisitively.  She didn't quite know what happened.  But it seems like the man's willing to speak to Nya about the location of Rose Garden under 1 condition.

Anastasia's eye's twitched a bit as the super flamboyant man made a stipulation to his offer.  In order to get information on the where-abouts of the Rose Garden.  Her eyes were half-open and her gaze was half-away in disgust of this flowery man.  "Yeah, even if he did, I could just shell out some coin to buy a map.  This guy grosses me out," she stated only for Nya to finally go 'eureka' over something.  Oh, right, she was pronouncing it wrong.  Maybe when she was asking for directions, people didn't understand because she added that extra 'N' sound at the end.  

"Eh, Nya," she said before clearing her throat.  "I'd almost rather feed him to Sasha," she stated before the creature snapped at her, showing it's teeth.

~ Don't you dare, Anastasia!  He might give me food poisoning ~ the creature communicated to Anastasia before Ana began laughing uncomfortably.  "On second thought, maybe Sasha doesn't want to eat him."

The man licked his lips as Nya pulled forward to whisper in his ear.  His strange and perverted face distorted a bit once he heard what she said and the sound of the sword being unsheathed.  This caused the man to turn extremely pale and leap backwards.  "My word!  Seriously!  If you're that scary then I don't think so!" the man said before clearing his throat and nodded to the two women.  "Good day!" he said firmly before throwing his nose up into the air and walking away from the.  

Anastasia sighed outward and hung her head for a moment.  "What the hell was that?" she asked rhetorically.  Standing back straight up, she looked back towards Nya and smiled.  "Well, it looks like you and I have gotta find you Rose Garden the hard way huh?"  Anastasia was up for a little adventure if Nya was.
