"So here we are...that's the Guild Hall of Infinity Hydra" these word exited El's mouth as he eyed the magnificent building that was Infinity Hydra's Guild Hall. Word is that Ardere, the Guild Master designed the hall by himself. An outstanding work to be done by one person alone.

From the outside the building looks like a castle. A traditional Midi castle. Although it has a modern feeling to it. The roofs are like the roofs on towers and there also seems to be enough room for every kind of necessity one would find appropriate for a Guild Hall.

To be blunt El was nervous. It had been years since he was part of a group. And that was a small group. Not a whole guild. In these past years he didn't go out a lot. It partially was due to his research binding a great portion of his time. But El was also not so good with people. He had managed though to at least go for a walk with two girls in Corcus last week. Last week that was the last time Dawnson left his house. Now he was here in Mountain Village. In front of the Guild Hall of his soon to be guild. His guild huh? That sounded nice to him.

"I haven't traveled here all the way from Corcus for nothing" he said as he tried to muster the courage to go inside. "Here goes nothing!" El opened the doors to the Guild Hall.

Immediately he was greeted by a traditional looking bar filled with members of Infinity Hydra. It was a nice view. A really nice view. It was that moment that El decided to trust all of his to be fellow guild members, for now at least.

"Hello Hydra, I'm your new head" he said as he made a quote sign with his hands. "The name is El, call me Jackal though. You may say that I am the son of rage and love. I hope we get along with each other 'cause I am joining you."

New Blood

Heil Hydra
Hello there, Fresh Meat!

"We drink to our youth!
To days come and gone!
For the Age of Oppression,
is now nearly done!"

Baal sang a song that he heard. While the actual song was more melodic in nature, but with Baal singing the song, it sounded like a muddled mess; more like a tavern drinking song. The man raised his pint of drink into the air and slammed it down before placing the glass upon the table. What did people expect of this gray-skinned alien immortal? Did they expect him to brood in a corner, within the shadows? Oh no! Ever since he made landfall on Earth, he took a fond liking to the alcohol! Well, as soon as he got his bearings on the scary new land that he found himself in.

That was a little over 100 years ago. Now he is established as a member of the Infinity Hydra Legal Guild and one hell of a drinker. The front door of the guild opened up, letting in a cool breeze. This caused the gray-skinned Elysian to shiver a bit. "What the hell?" he asked. There were a few people out on jobs right now, but they weren't due back right now. Baal grumbled and looked around, looking for that damn bartender. "Damn bartender is never around," he mumbled to himself before walking behind the counter and pouring himself a fresh pint of mead. Anything sweeter than this would be the nectar of the gods.

His eyes fixated upon a new face to the guild. The man introduced himself as the new head. Questions began to form within Baal's brain, but those questions could be answered much later. Looking at the man for a moment, he noticed a large scar over his face and a grin came across his face; albeit, a goofy grin due to his intoxication. Groping around the bar, Baal reached down and grabbed a large, frosty mug and filled it up with some of the best mead on the tap. Elysian Mead, or at least how Baal remembered how to make it.

With the frosty mug in one hand and his own pint in the other, Baal walked over to the new guy named Eli and placed the frosty mug into Eli's hand. "Well if you're joining us Jackal, son of Rage and Love, then have a drink with me! A new brother-in-arms must also be a brother-in-drink! Work hard, play hard, they always say right?" he said before releasing the mug of drink, whether Jackal would receive it or not. Baal fully expects Jackal to take the drink and down it whole-heartedly. He waited for Eli to down the drink before downing his own in a single gulp.

After taking the drink, Baal placed his arm across Jackal's and continued to sing the song he was singing earlier.

"We'll drive out the Rebels,
From this land that we hold!
With Blood and our Steel,
We will take back our home!

O Hail to Ardere!
You are the High King!
In Your great honor,
We'll drink and we'll sing!

We're the Children of the Hydra
And we fight all our lives!
And when the burning Hell beckons,
Every one of us dies!"

Baal raised his empty pint and shouted out to the rest of the tavern. "Look! We have new blood!" he said after singing his song, spilling what was left. "Oiy, soon you'll speak to the secretary. Let me tell you, she's a beautiful one. But keep your hands off of her, okay? I wouldn't want to kill ya," he said before going straight-faced for a moment only to burst out laughing after letting the face settle in just long enough to make things feel awkward. "But seriously, don't hit on her."

"Oh, right, maybe I should introduce myself. You can call me," he said before removing his arm from around him and held his hand out. Yes, he was very intoxicated right now. "Baal. Baal, Son of Elysium!" he said proudly.

It was a really pleasant sight Jackal thought for what should be the tenth time. Before he managed to say anything else or do anything else a gray-skinned guys had gone behind the bar, poured a glass of mead and offered it to him. Jackal though about this for a few seconds. Should I drink it? I mean he is a comrade so he is to be trusted. But what if it is a test? A test? Done by who? A drunk gray elf? Nah, it's improbable. Besides he seems like the short of guy I would trust...I mean really trust." With all of his questions now answered El took the glass and downed it in one gulp. Amazing. Simply amazing. The taste, texture, smell, aftertaste...everything about it was amazing. By far the best kind of mead El had so far tasted. Even though mead wasn't his favorite drink this kind of mead deffinately made it to his "Top 10 Drinks" list. "Daaamn! That was some great mead."

What came after was really surprising, though understandable. Was it a response by the gray-skinned guildmate? Nope. It was a song. The gray-skinned man wrapped his arm around El's shoulders and started singing. His voice wasn't that good. In fact it was a tiny tad below average. Yet it sounded perfect in this atmosphere. I'm begging to like this guy. He sure knows how to drink and party.

Just as these thoughts were done beign processed inside Jackal's brain the grey-skinned man, whose name had yet to be revealed, announced to the other guildies that IH had a new member. Well shouted was more like it. Anywas after that the man turned to El. If one could be so drunk that you needed a dictionary and private lessons to understand them then that guy surpassed even that stage. El had trouble making out what he said but it was something along the lines of El meeting with a beautiful secratary. El smirked at that. That smirk was short-lived though as a warrning not to hit on her came out of the man's mouth. That warrning was followd by a hell of a serious look and also a burst of laughter seconds later. Note to self. Gray-skinned elfish guy has the hots for the hot secretary. After that another warning followed.

El had begun wondering if the man would even introduce himself. Speak of the devil...also it was about time though El as the man ntroduce himself. The man had suddendly turned a bit more serious. Nah, it was only Dawnson's imagination. The guy was definately drunk. So the man had introducet himself as "Baal. Baal son of Elysium". A rather proud introduction.

El's eyes were now shining bright. It may have been due to the alcohol having already drunk several vodka shots and a glass of amazing mead or it may have been the sheer interest he had on Baal. The guy was cool, heavy drinker and knew how to party. Though El wanted to meet the other members too.

"Soo, Baal" said Jackal who was now quite intoxicated "Wanna introduce me to the rest of the members pal?"

Chapter 5.91:
New Blood

It was quite clear that Baal was very, very drunk. The redness upon his face showed as darkened flesh upon his gray skin. Baal celebrated for a moment until he heard himself being addressed as 'pal'. Something about that word got under his skin. The man no longer looked amused at the newcomer because of that single word. The look of annoyance sat upon his face for a little while. "Don't call me pal," he said as if he instantly sobered up. The look on his face evident that he wasn't very happy with what happened. All he did now was just glare at the newcomer.

Baal let the feeling of uneasiness settle in for a moment before letting out a hearty laugh. "Oh hell, I don't know when these jokers plan on coming around," he said before raising his emptied pint to his lips to find it empty. "Who cares for now, we need to celebrate your entrance to the guild with another drink!" he said as he voice returned to it's jovial, intoxicated tone. Baal wrapped an arm around the newcomer and almost forced him towards the bar, whether he liked it or not. "So, uh, Jackal, you said?" he asked trying to recall what he heard. He's probably not going to remember him come tomorrow anyway.

"Where did you come from? You come from a rich family or a poor family? Why do you want to join the guild anyway? Don't let it be for something silly like fame or whatever. Because that's the dumbest reason ever," he said with a big laugh. In truth, Baal joined the guild for renown and to get shinies. But the main reason was for a near-free room-and-board. He had other reasons for joining the guild, but those will remain hidden for now. Baal escorted the young man to the bar and spun a stool's top, indicating that he wanted the new member to sit there.

Working his way around the bar, he poured himself another pint of the sweetest mead that they had and downed it. "Good old fashion alien mead," he said slapping his lips together. "Can't find this stuff anywhere else on this planet but here!"

Pal? Seriously? El could not understand why he used that word. It felt...foreign to him to do so. It must be the alcohol he thought. Baal also didn't seem to like that word. He had that face again. For a few momments. Then he burst into laughter. Again. That guy must have drunk his a few barrels of that mead. That's a good thing. He most likely won't remember this event. So I wont lose points with a potential ally. But daamn I know that pal is a weird word but it seemed like Baal really dispised it.

With Baal's arm wrapped around him El was pulled towards the bar. God. This is so wrong. I wanted to meat the other guildies too. Nah, I ham too fucked up to do it now. Even the way I think is drunk. Fur fuck's sake. Sake? More alcohol? I better get over with this. As these thoughts passed El's minds Baal was asking him questions. Where did he come from? Was he rich? Why did he join IH?

Jackal smirked. Even though he was drunk as hell he was perfectly capable to answer to all of these questions. His smirk faded and was replaced with a genuine, heart-warmming smile. "I am El J. Dawnson. I go by as Jackal. I hail from a wealthy family but I am not rich. One could say that I joined IH to seek powerful allies that could help me with my goals." with that the smirk returned on his face once again. "What goals? Well to take over the world of course"

Baal narrowed his eyes as if to inspect the newcomer for a moment. "Take over the world, you say?" he asked before refilling his pint. Interest tickled Baal for a moment before realizing his own goals; though his goals do not involve anything with this world. If he had it his way, he would take Tyriel with him back to Elysium. That, however, would lead to complications of her friends and family missing her. Then again, he also never asked about her family. The thought staggered Baal for a moment before walking forward a bit, supporting himself on the bar.

The frosty glass was placed on the bartop with some of the beautiful fluid splashing around and onto the top of the bar. "Let me tell you somefin, Jackal," he said as the alcohol began to hit him really hard. "There's nothing on this planet worth taking over. There are places much better to become king of. Like through the Waku-something-or-another portals. This planet is crappy, I'll tell you that!" Baal said before raising his glass to drink from it soon after. Baal was a king on his own planet, thrown out by powerful magic. It wasn't due to being banished, but out of love from his sister that he was cast out; to protect him. Being the king in a matriarchal society placed him as second-class royalty; much like how queens are treated in every other kingdom.

"Eh, Tyriel is worth saving, anyway. She's as beautiful as the women in Elysium," Baal stated with a goofy grin across his face. Realizing that he has a stupid face, he shakes his head and regains his composure (or what's left of it). Baal leaned in to speak to Jackal. "Hey, do you need a guild tattoo?" he asks, possibly being able to get the stamp somehow. He laughed a bit before shaking his head. The alcohol was surely taking over. "I guess I could call for Tyriel to bring the stamp, but I can probably find it," he thought aloud.

Baal leaned back and cleared his throat. "But tell me more about your plans for world domination. I'm interested." Baal said before taking another long swig from his pint before slamming it on the bartop.

~ Oiy! Tyriel. We got a new guy that's going to need to be sorted out, give me a hand here, alright? Thanks, love~ he said in his mind. He was capable of telepathic communication with anyone within a certain range. However, he simply went to contact his beautiful earthling companion, Tyriel; the sexy secretary he spoke of earlier.

Wow! That was a rather interesting reaction. That's a first. One more reason to like this Baal guy. His mead helps too. But seriously now...this guy could prove to be helpful. Like really helpful. He seems strong and intelligent, also he should have knowledge of alien technology and magic since he is an aline. Companion #1 found. Or should I call him an underling? Nah, too dark-lordish for me. Upon hearing and seeing Baal's kinda deviant reaction to his goals this is what El thought. While thinking this though he managed to pay some attention to Baal while he was talking about stuff. One of these was about this Tyriel woman. I suppose that either he has a one sided crush or they really are a couple. Though he doesn't seem to be that type of person on first sight. Then it happened.

"Tell me more about that world domination plan of yours" was what Baal had said. Instantly El went into serious thinking mode. If you were watching this scene then you would have saw an El that had paused for ten or twenty seconds. In his mind though a debate was going on.

"I don't really think it would be wise to reveal details of our ambitions to a guy we just met. No matter how friendly he seems or how good of an ally he will be. Said Jackal's cunning, ambitious side. In El's inner "conversations" he went by as Snakey.

"But then how can we earn his trust and loyalty?" asked his side that was devoted to friendship, loyalty and what moral values he still believed in. His inner name was Puffy.

"It would be wiser if we found middle grounds between Snakey and Puffy" replied his more thoughtfull and rational side, Crow.

"Whatever peeps, I agree with everyone but we shouldn't hold meeting like this for every tough choice we are faced with. It shows we have no guts" spoke Jackal's more brave and headfront side, Griff.

"Then how are we supposed to achieve our goal? By spitting out our innermost plans to them cause they asked for it?"

"I am with him on this one"

"Shut up!"

"So we only reveal a part of our plans to him? It's still not what he asked for, but..."

"Nope, we only leak small parts from an amount of plans."

"Guys, get over with this and find out what I...I mean we say." said the inner replica of El's own self.

"Just do what Crow said and we will see how we move from there."

After he reached in a decesion he eagerly replied to the grey-skinned alien, Baal. "This is a crappy world not worth conquering? That's a cute way to phrase reality. In fact this world is...flawed. But that's the reason I aim to conquer it. I want to reshape it to a better world. Not only Earthland. Every world that needs saving and reshaping. I am not able to disclose more details with you right now. However I am willing to do so if you join my cause. This is why I am telling you the following: It's going to be hard. Like really hard. Harder than you think. But with magic and science it is achievable. It is going to be easier than what I planned if you helped. Donating any alien knowledge you have. I also want to inform you that if you do join me then our first goal is to seek other members. At least two more. A guy from IH named Nazaki might prove useful. So what do you say? Are you in?"

Baal sat there for a moment, watching as Jackal sat there, lost in his own thought. Baal waved his hand in front of his face and snapped a couple times, trying to get his attention. Well, he seems to be lost in the aether. Baal took another swig of his drink before placing the emptied glass on the bartop. The word began to spin around him quickly, causing the man to look disoriented, if not a bit off-balance from seeing everything spin.

The words spoken to him were nearly completely lost as his mind began to wander. Thanks, alcohol, you're a chum. What he did manage to piece together was that Jackal believed the world is flawed and he plans on spreading that influence throughout the cosmos. This caused Baal to laugh out loud, falling back upon the bar, holding his gut in jovial laughter. "Every planet in the cosmos, you say? Well, you're going to," he said before pointing at Jackal in a spinning daze. "leave my planet alone. That's my job!" he exclaimed as a matter-of-fact. There were some conflicts on the other planet that he needed to resolve and there wasn't any way he'd allow someone like this new-comer to get in the way of -his- business. This was mainly due to the vengeance he sought after for a hundred years after being sent to this planet. He didn't seek vengeance for being thrown onto this planet; no. The reason why was due to the reasons WHY he was sent to this planet.

A king without His throne is no longer a king.

"I would probably worry more about this world and all of the scary," he said once more, falling forward, but catching himself upon the bartop. After a quick recovery, Baal looked up at Jackal with glossed-over eyes. "people on this planet. You could say, the people here are terrifying because of how petty they are here. I also don't have anything to really show you with 'alien technology'," he stated with a very strong and drunken drawl.

"But seriously," he said before standing upright once again. "Concentrate on helping people out for now. If you want to be king of this realm, you aren't strong enough yet." It's true that one must be strong if they wish to conquer the world and they must have strong allies. Baal may be interested as long as it doesn't stomp on his own views and if it doesn't mess with the Hydra or Tyriel. Then again, world domination isn't really something for a legal guild to dabble in.

A big grin came over the man's face. "But let me warn you. If your plan hurts Tyriel or the Hydra in any way, I'll be there to stop ya," he said before leaning in to the bar and lowering his head to simply dry heave. The sound of it was loud enough for Jackal to hear. While down there, Baal noticed the stamp underneath the bar and grabbed a hold of it and placed it into his pocket. He stood back up and looked towards Jackal. "So, do you agree? If you hurt the Hydra, Tyriel, or my planet, we'll come and getcha. If you understand all that, show me where you want your mark." While he is initiating Jackal into the fold, he has no intentions of becoming his puppet. A king should not be ruled by others, at least that is Baal's thought.

The magnificent albeit drunk speech El gave didn't have much of an effect on Baal. That El understood by his facial expressions and not by his words. He was too drunk to process what others said.

El downed another glass of aline mead as he tried to pay attention to what Baal was talking about. While he was drunk he managed to hear something about if El ever harmed Baal's planet, IH or that Tyriel girl then Baal would kill him. Or something like that anywas.

Mead was spilling onto the bar counter as El tried to pour himself another galss, failing to do so without spilling any. A question of where does El wants his guild tat arose. Drinking his half filled galss with one gulp jackal answered. "Left side of my chest...crimosn in color...

El took a minute to try to process what Baal had previously said. Without engaging into a conversation with himself. It took him a couple of minutes. He managed to construct a reply though.

"Don't worry Baal. I am not going to hurt IH, nor Tyr, nor mess with your planet's affairs. I wasn't going to mess with IH anyway since I am a member of it. But I will tell you this. I do consider you to be a allyfull power...er a powerfull ally I mean. Why? I don't even know. I am so drunk know I was literaly talking to mysefl momments ago.

El poured himself what would be his last drink for this night...or day...or whatever it was. He fot up from his seat and tried talking. "I have open slots for allies. Whenever you want to just talk to me. So you are welcome to decide if you want to join me whenever you want. The sooner though, the better. Also I think that having me as an ally to YOUR cause would also be benefitial for you. I bid you farwell for now. I think I am too drunk to keep talking."

With that El left the Guild Hall. Heading to rest on a nearby hotel he had previously rented. Truth to be told, he wanted to stay there a bit more. His liver though protested. At least El hoped that he had managed to gather his first ally towards his cause.

Looks Can Be Deceiving

The violet haired maiden had been sitting at her desk, doing the normal routine of the day's paperwork, which unfortunately took longer than normal due to the fact that she lacked the same capabilities as before. She was not able to just read and store information into her head anymore, she actually had to file it in a physical system. With a heavy sigh she continued writing out receipts, letters, and info for new joining members; she worked until there was a annoying voice in her head. Baal... He was 'summoning' her again.
Tyriel really hated it when he did that, she was not a dog and did not need to get interrupted willy nilly! However this time, it seemed he had a new member downstairs, so it was wise to join them.

Tyr slipped on her shoes and walked out her doorway and down the stairs, her elegant gown sliding across the wooden floors. She scoffed slightly, they needed to be cleaned... Her lackey's were well... lacking.
She made a note to herself to ask shu about the cleaning crews conduct.
The guild was massive, and it was only fit that they hired guildmates to clean everything, however it seemed they had better things to do as of late.

She descended the stairs that connected to the main guild hall to be alarmed to see a white haired young man preparing to exit. " Excuse me! " she said a bit loud to get his attention. She just had a gut urge that this was the man she was supposed to talk to. " Are you the new individual?" she said glancing him up and down. She tried to take note of his appearance, but without her Archive Magic, she just judged his appearance, she was unable to possess her photographic memory.

Just when Jackal was about to leave a voice stopped him. He turned around while he tried to look as sober as possible. The body that owned the voice was the body of a delicate, violet haired young woman. Having heared so much about her already Jackal realised that this must be Tyriel, IH's secratery.

Using all of his strength he managed to form a sentence that didn't make him sound like a homeless drunk. "Yup, that would be me. My name is El. El J. Dawnson to be precise. Though, do call me Jackal. I am pretty drunk right now so feel free to ignore any stupid thing I say. Also I won't be need needing a guild tat'. Baal already took care of that." All of these El said while extending his hand for a handshake. He wasn't quite sure why he couldn't find anything better to say. The man that had such a high ambition was reduced to using simple words. It's probably either the alcohol or the stunning beauty of the girl in front of him. Mostly the alcohol though. El lost his balance for a fraction of a second. Yup, mostly alcohol.

El brought a hand to his bangs and straightened his hair a bit. He shot Tyriel a warm smile. It was meant to be a replacement of a more well though, eloquent nice to meet you. Though he didn't know how the violet haired secratery would take it as. He hoped she didn't take it as him flirting with her. Scratch that he hoped Baal didn't look at it that way.

"So nice to meet you. You must be Tyriel, right? Did you need me for something?" Inside El's brain he was crossing his fingers that he wouldn't have to do something that required him to be sober. Trying to get her as an ally? Nope, he was way too drunk for that one.
