    Spoiler:

Rohma had received a job that had put Baal on-edge due to it's content.  One thing that Baal enjoyed upon being thrown onto this planet were the adult beverages of this planet.  It went by many names:  Booze, Beer, Alcohol, Drink, The Bottle, The Sauce, and Ambrosia were just a few among the many nicknames he had heard for the beautiful beverage that Baal has grown to know and love.  He spent a lot of his time at the guild sitting in the bar and drinking himself stupid; so it became one of Baal's pastimes.  Hearing of such lunacy as invading a bar and stealing it away from the people is like stealing it away from himself.  Crimes like that shan't be tolerated; not on his watch!

The doors of the bar that him and Rohma were to protect were opened with Baal pushing himself into it.  A stern look came across Baal's face as he looked towards the people already in the bar to see if they were some of the people terrorizing the barmaster.  The glances from the regulars puled away before he turned his eyes towards the barkeep.  The man looked disheveled and unkempt due to stress of the mages walking in and forcing their will upon the bartender.  To think that something like this was happening just under their noses.

Baal had entered the bar with his teammate Rohma.  The two have been trying to do jobs as a team, however, there have always been complications which lead to difficulties.  Now that the two of them finally have the chance to do a job, it's game time!  Baal took a seat on a bar stool and cleared his throat to get the bartender's attention.  As soon as he received the stressed man's attention, Baal said, "We're here for the job," he simply stated before the bartender erupted into appreciation by bowing his head and grabbing Baal's hand.  His hands were cold and clammy; a bit disgusting to hold on to.  "Thank you!  We've had a bad problem with other mages stealing our alcohol!  Please repel them!" the man stated before turning his eyes to look upon the fair Rohma.  "And thank you two, m'lady!"

In retrospect this may not’ve been her best idea, but some part remained absolute that this would shape up into an entertaining event. The mere fact that the anger radiated off her teammate felt palpable caused the woman to hide her grin even as she let the irate alien lead the way, their goal evoking an interesting determination. They barely knew one another, but given how often she saw the man having a drink in the guild’s tavern anyone might surmise he liked his spirits quite a bit so it stood to reason he’d be game for a job involving a bit of booze protection detail. Hell she’d hoped it would inspire the man into action and maybe even make the job a little easier.

Opening the doors with a dramatic air about him, Rohma barely managed to keep a serious face as she momentarily recalled a scene straight out of some cowboy novel she’d read years ago. Activity halted as the newcomers entered, both sides seemingly sizing the other up before going about their business. ’Probably trying to figure if he’s a moonshiner or not.’ There’d been mention of locals and travelers helping the poor fellow out, but the man needed a more permanent solution to his problem as they were just keeping the thieves at bay rather than outright sending them packing. Luckily for the man she’d found the right partner for the job – one who loved his drink yet wouldn’t be found passed out beneath a table before things turned exciting.

The dark haired woman took a seat to the left of her partner, propping her head up on her left hand and staring at the two, hiding a small smirk as the grateful barkeep took his hand. Actors only wished they could portray relief washing over them half as well as this man experienced it. When he acknowledged her as well Rohma nodded to the man, a half smile curling her lips. She couldn’t help wondering why the thieves hadn’t attempted to purchase a barrel or few for a “party” though as that seemed an easier method, but she shrugged it off. ’Maybe he doesn’t let it leave the premises?’

“Anything you can tell us ‘bout the ruffians constantly attackin’ your bar? Your request mentioned they could use some magic and often came carrying, but are they together or is it some kinda gang? Or maybe they’re lookin’ to start up here and’re trying to run you out perhaps?”
Judging by how haggard the man looked the frantic request made a lot more sense now even if he’d failed to offer many details about the people making trouble for him. She especially recalled the more interesting and perhaps questionable part, “kill or beat them to a pulp I don’t care,” as it showed how desperate and harassed the man must be to no longer give a damn.

    Spoiler:

The man twitched a bit upon hearing Rohma speak.  He glanced outside for a moment to see if they were coming.  It was that time of day.  While he stared outside, the man started to visibly shake.  "Alright everyone, time to clear out.  We're closed," the man stated before he was given a grumble.  All of the people downed their drinks before quickly clearing out; many not even paying off their tabs.  The bartender didn't seem to care as he has more problems about to burst in at any moment.

"I don't know, young lady," the man said with a grim look on his face.  "They're just taking my alcohol by using force.  I don't know anything else about them," the man said before hearing boots hit the ground.  The sound of heavy spit hit the floor of the bar, strangely causing a 'ting' sound upon hitting the ground.  The bartender hit the deck with a resounding "Fucking hell!" the man shouted.  "Those are the guys!  Please deal with them!  Don't let them take my stuff!"
"What the hell was that about?" the man said as he cleared his throat and spat out another chaw onto the floor, creating another 'ting' sound.

Baal stood up and walked over to the man, glaring at him.  "So you are the ones responsible for stealing the bartender's drink, aren't you?" Baal asked with bitterness in his voice.  Gragas, the leader of the moonshiners laughs and spat on the ground once again.  'ting'.  Gragas walked up to Baal and pushed him on the shoulder, causing Baal to recoil a bit.  The gray man turned his eyes down to look at where Gragas pushed him, looking back into his eyes.  Him and his men laugh in the background.

The man laughed and hooked a finger over towards the bar, causing some of his men to walk passed Baal before walking outside.  "Soft mages are soft, indeed.  Let's get the booze boys and get out of here!" the man shouted before walking out the bar.  A toothy grin crossed Baal's lips before taking a step back, pushing all of the men back through the entrance with his Mystic Hands.

Turning his shoulders back to see his men barreling out of the tavern, he spat once more on the ground with a 'ting' before pointing inside.  "Split up boys!  Get em and the booze!"

’Things must be bad if he’s lettin’ money walk…or they’re regulars.’ His lack of intel inspired a tiny sigh, the man likely too scared and at his wit’s end to really pay them much mind. ’Dang, not even a smidgen o’ detail? Then again they probably haven’t used too much force against him, it’s mostly one dude against a group it sounds like. But if he’s made due with the kindness of strangers and regulars to date…there’s gotta be some hope at least.’ If they’d been grossly successful then this place likely wouldn’t exist anymore.

The speed at which the man ducked down impressed Rohma, the woman raising one dark eyebrow as the ’ting!’ resounded all too clearly in the quiet air. Turning about Rohma withheld an unimpressed huff at the sight of the supposed ringleader. ’Guess bathing’s not on his top list of things to do,’ she wrinkled her nose, ’I can almost see the smell wafting off. Wonder how much of that grime’s merely sloshed drink?’ A bit of a desert crawler, Rohma was no stranger to dirt and grime, but damned if the woman didn’t try to maintain some semblance of cleanliness. This fellow wreaked as if he made the brew in his clothes however, some of his little gang members none too better.

Yet if the bartender only held a spot of luck to his name, it came in the form of Baal discovering his plight as the pair converged on each other. Leaning against the bar Rohma remained casual in her observance of the pair, the two alpha males sizing each other up as Gragas signaled for his men to start rounding up some of their plunder. All to no avail thanks to Bouncer Baal as the man evicted them right back through the double doors. She could just make out the pile up outside, the roguish woman’s face adorning a mirrored grin, ”Guess it’s show time.” Giving the ol’ pair o’ pistols a twirl, both hands clamped firmly around the grip as the first man to detangle him from the outside mass came charging inside.

”Tch,” the woman huffed, tinged with a tick of amusement, the man already face down against the wooden floor. She’d fired off a quick shot, warping part of the floor so a little knot hole rose up, the man’s foot slamming right into it and comically the man fell ramrod straight down, ’Poor sod face planted so hard.’ Whether his accompanying friends would fall for the same trap – albeit tripping over their friend – they’d find out in a moment, and see if the body pile up wouldn’t just shift locations by a few feet.

    Spoiler:

    BGM:  Battle Theme 1

Rohma twirled her pistols and got to work, shooting the bad-guy out with quite a few trick shots.  Baal had a big grin upon his face as he watched on in amazement.  A simple thumbs up and a 'not bad' face was given for her fancy gun work.  Baal would have considered using firearms, but he isn't patient enough to practice using such weapons, not caring much to take time to aim and shoot.  He was good enough with fighting up close and personal, allowing his mystical hands for medium range attacks.  Long ranged, however, is where he suffered greatly.  Getting close to long ranged fighters had always been a big problem of his.  Baal simply sat back and waited for more people to pour in.  Sighing outward, Baal turned around and took a seat upon the bar and tapped the bar.

"Give me something on the the tap, I'll pay extra," he said as one of the men came running towards him, causing the bartender to look up and then duck back down.  The man was instantly blocked by a wall created by the Mystic hands.  While this was happening behind Baal's back, he made a hand gesture as if to tell the barkeep to hurry up.  The bartender got up while keeping his head low and started to slowly pour a drink from the tap and place it upon the bartop.

While this happened, the hired thug went to pull out his weapon only for Baal to pick him up with the Mystical Hand and started to swing his body into the ceiling and down onto the floor.  He did this over and over again until the body went limp, forcing the invisible hand to throw the corpse outside.  Baal grabbed the mug of drink and took a big swig of it, downing half the glass in a single gulp.  He would have finished the entire thing in a single drink, but he'd like to at least taste the beer before getting back to work.  The bartender looked on as the Moonshiner apprentice pulled out his revolvers.

"You might want to hide.  This one is no joke," he stated before downing the rest of the drink and placed the frosty glass upon the counter.  The bartender quickly ducked down and used a trap door under the bar to escape.  One less person to worry about now.  Baal heard the clicking of the hammers pulling back.  The sound of a finger being placed upon the triggers is heard and while his back is still turned, Baal quickly turned and looked as the bullets were fired from the weapon, skillfully moving out of the way from both bullets.

"You had me scared there for a moment.  At least let me finish my drink, asshole," he said before walking back around the bar and filled up another glass of the beer he was drinking earlier, only for the gunmage to shoot a bullet into the glass, causing the beer to splash upon the ground and flow freely from the tap.  Baal looked baffled for a moment before turning the tap off.  "You wasted some perfectly good drink, sir," Baal stated before looking up at the man, holding the glass handle of what used to be a frosty mug.
