- Job: The Sunny Tower of No Return
Rank: B
Player Requirements: B-Ranked Wizard(s) or above, or 2 C-Ranked Wizards 250 word per post requirement. Thread must be at least 30 posts long.
Job Requirements: Bring home your clients daughter. Must defeat either the Sun Mages, or the Archmage of the Sun. May cause other enemies too flee until one of the two becomes available. Scale the Mystic Tower's 50 floors.
Job Location: Mystic Tower
Job Description: The Mystic Tower stands untouched and unappropriated, at large. Any who venture there never seem too return. Although mysteriously, letters still get sent home too loved ones as if they've found some new meaning in life. Your client's daughter has left for the Mystic Tower after being curious, and fell victim too this very situation. Her parents are incredibly worried about her, and have received disturbing letters in which it seems as if she's praising the sun. They want you too go there, and bring her home. Realizing the risks, they'll pay heftily for her safe return too Magnolia.
(Note: Character Names, and Boss and Enemy Names Are Up Too You)
Enemies:
Weak: Initiates of the Sun x10 (These new comers too the Order of the Sun haven't truly mastered their magic yet. A lot of them are very young and may be easily intimidated. Some are extremely bold and brazen though, and will not be dissuaded easily. They can make their fists and feet glow with sunlight too strike at their opponents, but that's about it. It takes two hits too down each initiate. They may flee if you display a level of magic that's way beyond them, likely deciding too leave the Order of the Sun all together if convinced.)
Normal: Apprentice of the Sun x5 (These young wizards are students of the Sun-Make school of the tower, and show great potential and skill already. They can augment their physical attacks, and fight with potent martial skill. They will augment their hands, arms, legs, and body with Sun-Make magic too strike you. They will also fire bolts of sunlight, that quickly emerge from their hands and smash through objects, these deal C-Ranked damage, as they are not skilled enough for the homing streams of sunlight yet. It takes four direct hits too bring each down. They may flee if you display magic above A-Rank.)
Strong: The Sun Mages x2 (These two wizards are draped in desert like attire, of gold and silver wrappings. Their Sun-Make magic is incredible. It allows them too fly at high speeds, and strike with hand-to-hand combat with amazing levels of martial arts skill. They are highly skilled fighters and attack with 4 "Damage Die" each time they attack. The sunlight that surrounds their body results in unpleasant burns if struck. They can also fire streams of sunlight that fan into the air and then home in on you. If hit, they deal B-Ranked damage. They are incredible gymnasts and will show as much when dodging, even while flying. Though they will not fly at all times. It takes 10 hits too bring each of these two down. Their attacks pierce through all darkness oriented abilities with ease.)
Boss: Archmage of the Sun (This guy is draped in insane robes, with a golden crown on top of his head, glittering constantly. He levitates around, swooping through the area and releasing incredibly powerful blasts of white hot sunlight from his hands and body. He is excellent at countering magical effects, and if he rolls a block then NO effect of your magic will get through. He is somewhat vulnerable too physical attacks, if you can get him out of the air and down too your level...and then make it past his insane Sun Magic. His palm blasts of sunlight travel at high speeds, and will home in on you. You must dodge them at the last second too evade, any failed block results in B-Ranked damage, and a very uncomfortable and painful burn on the spot. His Sun-Make magic pierces through all darkness oriented abilities without hesitation. His ultimate attack, which he will use every 5 posts results in him gathering copious amounts of sunlight into himself as he begins too shine brightly. He unleashes streams of sunlight that soar through the area and slam through nearly anything in their path. These deal A-Ranked damage and will disorient you for a few posts after being struck unless you have some form of healing magic. Any form of Healing will help you remain oriented. He takes 15 hits too topple.)
Reward: 15,000 Jewels

Seru sighed. It would seem as though some terrible habits just won't leave a person. Straight after, however, she put on a smile; it was another habit, however, that was not the only reason why she did so. It was time for adventure! Adventure was something that Seru sought out, even if it was by herself, which, most of the time, it was. She didn't mind going on an adventure alone, yet, it was always far more pleasant with company, and this time, she would be recieving just that.
It would be a friend. A friend she had barely met for a few minutes, but, a friend regardless. The two were guildmates, so, she had no reason to doubt her partner for the adventure. Seru always enjoyed walking towards her destination, however, she did take her partner into consideration, and thus decided that the best method of travel would be by train, and waited for her partner at the station.
She took out the sheet she had neatly tucked away and briefed through it once more to gain all of it's information fresh into her mind. Poor girl..., she thought to herself. Seru very much doubted that the girl "praising the sun", as it was called, was actually thinking for herself, but she would have to find out herself when she'd arrive. This is also a great training opportunity... The young lady didn't have enough combat experience with a blade, so, this would be a way to enhance her techniques, and perhaps develope new ones.
Comes with the whole creation thing.

Tammy was once again wearing her tall leather boots again as she as actually expecting that there might be some form of confrontation in this job, which she had apologized to a fellow guildmember several times before. Seru whom she had only met once in passing was going with her to help on what sounded like a rather simple smash and grab mission but likely wouldn’t be as simple as one she had done before.
After a while Tammy found herself at the train station, apparently Seru and herself would be taking a train as far as they could, though she had no idea why exactly why Seru wanted to take a train, maybe she thought that Tammy couldn’t handle it, but in fact on her basic down time she has been training her stamina a lot took keep her from getting overly exhausted at the slightest amounts of work, even coming so far as to become capable of stronger magic and remaining in her transformed state much longer than usual.
“So why exactly are we going by train, Im not one to completely argue some sort of comfort but isn’t this supposed…to be more of an intense on job training for me?” She asked as she walks up to Seru. Tammy was currently dressed in a rather common looking cowgirl outfit, had her hair tied back and wore her rather usually tall brown leather boots. “So Since I didn’t get to meet with the client, what exactly are we in for?” She asked Seru as the two of them climb aboard the train.

Seru's partner had arrived; it was time to go. She awaited for the train to begin its course before actually saying anything to Tammy. "Right! I didn't exactly meet the client in person, though I did through lacrima." Seru would lay the job sheet on a small table they had in the train for Tammy to see, too. Seru was the one who wrote the important details. "The job sounds very simple - get to the Mystic Tower, ascend the floors, retrieve the client's daughter." She took a temporary pause.
"...And while ascending the tower won't be a problem, facing foes or not, it will be taking the girl home. You see, the client mentioned that they, they being the parents, were recieving strange letters from their daughter, something to do with "praising the sun". I get the feeling she was brainwashed." Seru stopped talking, giving Tammy enough time to look over the sheet, and hopefully understand it, while asking Seru any questions she might have.
"If there's anything you'd like to say, anything at all, be sure to mention it.", she said with a light smile on her face. Still, she felt slightly bad; Seru underestimated her a bit too much, which was a shame, because not only was she probably insulting, but also missed out on the chance to look at the area around them as they'd venture forth.
Regardless, the train was a much quicker way, so they would arrive at the tower sooner, which means they could begin their job together quicker.

Tammy had found that not only had she not managed to meet with the client but Seru hadn’t met with them either as they had been contacted via lacrima, they were apparently supposed to be retrieving a young girl whom had made her way to the tower, “So this girl is….praising a hot ball of fire…. That sounds like a really good idea, so Scale the tower fight the sun worshipping rejects in the tower, and then persuade the girl that worshipping the sun is a weird addiction and that she should stop doing it and go back home right?” Tammy said in one long line as the train rushes through a tunnel
Tammy hated trains, they were not the fastest form of traveling between two points but it was surely faster than walking or riding a horse, but she had to admit it was boring and there wasn’t much to do while the train was in motion. “Im going out for a walk” She said as she would open the side door of their car. Suddenly she was changing form; she was down on her legs all four of them and was shaking her mane. “Ill be right back” She said as she would jump out the door and starts to run along at high speed keeping up perfectly with the train.
“See now this is more fun than being stuck in that train the whole way and being bored” She said with laugh as she would speed up a little bit and manages to catch up with the engine racing it all the way to the tower.

Seru nodded as Tammy spoke to get all of the details correct. "More or less.", she replied. Tammy appeared to be bored, and, well, for good reason. There wasn't really much to do on the train. When she left, Seru took a deep breath, and then smiled. The first of many... She looked over to Tammy as she said she'd return shortly, and what Seru saw was something she didn't quite expect. "A horse...?"
She asked instinctivly out loud, before Tammy jumped out of the train, and Seru rushed over to the window, only to sigh in relief when she saw Tammy doing quite fine, keeping up with the train pretty easily. She couldn't help but smile and nod to what the pony lady had said. Seru went over to the same door and opened it, taking a deep breath, closing her eyes, releasing the breath, and then opening; a brilliant cyan colour filled her eyes for a brief moment.
She could see everything.
The connection... The flow... All in its natural order. She found it, the ideal leyline. A brief moment of reconfiguring realities, and her travel speed, and suddenly, she found herself running next to Tammy at the exact same speed. Most of her body was covered in the same brilliant cyan her eyes were before, but, if looked in closely enough, one could see Seru in it. She turned her head and smiled towards Tammy. "How about a race? I bet I can beat you!", she said cheerfully.
Everything was turning for the better.

Tammy was actually fairly surprised when she looked back and saw Seru glowing blue and picking up speed until she had caught up with Tammy in no time flat. “You……What….I….Yes!” she said as Seru had proposed a race and suggested that Tammy would definitely lose. “Ha! I won’t lose easily you know so you better be ready to lose yourself.” She said with a delighted smirk “I’ll just have to be 20 percent faster!” Tammy said with a prideful laugh as she would open her blue wings and smirks at Seru.
Within a few moment’s Tammy was airborne and flying just as fast as she had been running next to Seru moments before hand. “Try to keep up.” Tammy said as she picked up speed and flew a little bit faster, all for naught though as its seemed despite her best efforts to show off and be super cool, somehow Seru was just as fast, maybe even faster than she was “Oh yeah! Well let’s see how you handle moving even faster!” Tammy said as a faint rainbow would appear behind her as she was picking up speed
Yet again her efforts to pull away from Seru were failing badly and she was even now failing behind, thankfully the tower was in sight and Tammy was getting slightly aggravated about losing a race to a normal person who seemed able to run easily fast than a train AND faster than herself. “I don’t know where you learned to do that but it is pretty awesome” Tammy said as she would land on the ground right outside the tower before changing back

Seru was able to immediately stop just before the tower, just when Tammy did. She couldn't help but laugh in some shyness at her words. "Yeah... Thanks! It... Wasn't easy to get to this point.", she said relatively quietly. The train itself was finally passing by; the two exceeded it by a lot, and it would seem like it stopped further up ahead than Seru originally thought, which meant that their actions were perfect. She thought about drawing Excalibur, only to hold off on the thought.
Might be best to not go all out at the beginning... Most of them are probably very average mages... It'd be best not to kill them if it can be avoided... Seru cracked her knuckles and stretched her neck slightly, going towards the tower. Before she actually entered the thing, however, she looked back to see Tammy, and how she was doing, and gave her a smile. "Well! This is it. It's time to go in there. This tower is quite big, as you might have noticed, and we don't know what to expect, so, let's try getting to where the girl is as soon as possible, alright?"
Quite honestly, Seru was worried that it was already too late. From the information she got from the client, the daughter had already been there a few days, and within those few days, had already gotten a very pretigeous position in the... Cult, as Seru would call it. Guess that the two would have to ascend the tower to wait and see.

Seru didn’t have to tell Tammy that this job wasn’t exactly going to be easy but knowing that a fellow guild mate actually had her safety in mind made her feel a lot safer than anything else could at this moment. “So basically we…..climb this tower….can we do that from the inside? I really wouldn’t want to climb this extremely tall tower from the outside, even if that sounds extremely stupid.” Tammy said with a slight laugh as she knew she could easily fly to the top of the tower if she could change again but….she couldn’t as she just did that
Walking into the tower, Tammy didn’t see much of worth about the tower but…it definitely looked old enough to be a old cult tower. “So…..are there going to be guys everywhere, Or are we going to be just seeing a couple or like is it just the girl and one guy?” Tammy asks rather loudly “Hey Did you hear that?! There is someone down at the base of the tower!” a voice from the staircase yelled as footsteps can be heard coming down from the staircase. “Well…..whoops I guess I shouldn’t have been so loud, now they seem to know we are here don’t they” Tammy said in a slightly upset tone.
Tammy would quickly reach for her deck box “Let’s see which one would be best for this situation” She said as she looks through her cards and pulls one out and holds it up an it begins to glow. “Come to my Side Pollux!” She says as a swordsman with a rather strange twin bladed sword would burst forth from the card, with it a overwhelming feeling of strength would take over both Tammy and Seru.

Seru couldn't help but scratch the back of her head with an awkward smile when Tammy spoke rather loudly and attracted a bunch of the lackeys. "Well, I'm not so sure myself. I guess we'll just have to find out!" Before the enemy or Seru could do anything, however, Tammy drew a deck of cards, bringing out a very impressive looking swordsman. A type of summoning magic, I assume?" "There they are! Ladies, are you two here to join our glorious establishment in honor of The Sun?"
Seru couldn't help but giggle sheepishly. "Well... Not quite. We're here in search for a girl; her parents want us to bring her home. Think you could take us to her?" Seru very much expected that plan to fail, but it was definitely worth trying. "We cannot. Ladies, I recommend you leave here with... Your friend... Before we're forced to take action we would rather not."
Well, she did try, to be fair.
Within an instant, Seru shot forward, both of his fists clenched and striking the faces of the two sun mages that were closest to her, going so fast that they were shot inside as she herself rushed in, too. Both of them groaned, but quickly got on to their feet. "Attack!", they both yelled, and multiple firebolts of sunlight were shot from their hands, looking for Seru. She saw them.
She ran forward as she jumped above the first spell, yelling behind her to Tammy, "I've got them! You take care of the others!" Seru had underestimated her guild mate once.
She wanted to give her a proper chance, now.
