Personality: Shin is a rather intelligent individual. Appearing quiet to most, he is far from that. He is known to speak whatever comes to mind bearing no care for who he may offend in the process. He bears a calm, emotionless expression most of the time which bodes well with his nonchalant demeanor. When speaking, his choice of words flow greatly and strikingly as he speaks with an elegant tone. His use of curse words is more so limited as he does not see a point in cursing if there is no point for it. In fact, he believes cursing leaves a stain on the beautiful English language. His sense and use of sarcasm can be used in any situation if the chance presents itself. However despite all these laid back traits, Shin can be militant when required. He is known to be self-absorbed and strong-willed always putting his goals and needs before anyone else. He is hostile towards figures of authority and has little incentive to follow orders from anyone.

During combat, Shin is a predator locked onto his prey, unwilling to be derailed until he feels satisfied. The concept of a 'mercy rule' is all but a foreign concept to him. If one chooses to fight, they must pay the consequence of defeat with their life as it is the only form of atonement Shin grew up with as a child. The same goes for a friendly spar. When just sparring or training with guild mates or other straddlers, Shin does not know when to hold back. He was brought with the upbringing attack until it does not move and he has been applying that saying to everything. In terms of teamwork, Shin only enjoys working with mages of a similar caliber to him as it allows him to see where he ranks among mages similar to him in power. However, if teamwork is not needed or provides little to no help for the situation at hand, he will completely disregard the need for it.

Despite these 'nasty' traits if you will, Shin knows when to respect someone. For starters, he has respect for those guild members that he has befriended. If someone is stronger then him, he will recognize this and give them the respect them they deserve. Of course, with a trace of salt left over. In terms of forming friendships with him, it is not too difficult. If he recognizes one as someone worth having around, he shall talk to you but if not, you can say bye-bye. He is also strong-willed as mentioned before. If he believes he has found an alternate route to a problem, he will go with that route despite what anyone else has to say. In requests, it is the same. If you give him a request with only one possible outcome, he will not rest until he has found a second outcome, even if it is not possible do not tell him no. Unless of course, you want to pay some hell.

All in all, Shin is a maleficent human being with a trace of respect in him. Cocky when need be and bold at all times, Shin is one person you would want to befriend as compared to make an enemy of.

Likes:

• Power - If one has power, they have a greater chance at survival compared to someone without power. Shin wants to continue to gain power until he is satisfied.
  
• Relieving Stress - What better way is there to relieve stress then drinking the problem away with some elegant wine?
  
• Challenges - Who doesn't enjoy them self a challenge every now and then? Shin believes challenges are an excellent way to test one's intellect and are a good way to relieve boredom.
  

Dislikes:

• Failure - In this world, there is little room for failure. To achieve something for the greater good, one cannot fail in any way.
  
• Rules - Shin believes all rules should be abolished as they limit one's freedom, or to be exact limit Shin himself. What good are rules if they're already being broken by people.
  
• Mercy - What is the point to let a loser walk among the earth? If they have been defeated, they must be removed so they can no longer stain the earth with their presence. It is the only way to amend for this failure.
  

Motivations:

• Power - Rather cliche for sure but it's motivational nonetheless. Shin craves all the power he can grasp, never fulfilled with what he has. Achieving this power comes from defeating enemies considered stronger than him to receiving a new, profound power or weapon.
  
• Darkness - Shin has developed a natural love for darkness. He believes the darkness is where he can be at ease, escaping the stress of life. Sitting in darkness is also a way for him to clear his mind and think concisely.
  
• Respect - Respect is a common courtesy based off of strength. Shin strives to have the utmost of respect from everyone and in turn, will even respect those with strength rivaled to his own.
  

Fears:

• Death - Rather cliche for sure but who does not fear death. The thought of his life ending before he can achieve what he dreams to is a dreadful thought. What comes after death is also spine-chilling.
  
• Claustrophobia - The sheer thought of being enclosed in a tight space sends shivers down his spine every time. Just the simple thought of not being able to move is frightful.
  
• Amputation - The thought of losing a limb and having it replaced by a fake is a gruesome thought. Not having a full grasp of your own body is enough to freak out Shin and he hopes he never gets maimed as it would ruin his regal body but with his militant attitude, expect the unexpected.c

Appearance:
Shin is a rather towering figure being over 6ft tall. His light skin tone is accented by his jet black hair reaching the lengths of his shoulder along with darkness piercing scarlet red eyes. He has a slight build to him adding to his athleticism. In terms of attire, Shin will only wear clothing regarded as high class. He has no preferences in terms of color. His usual attire consists of a dress shirt along with a vest and dress pants highlighted by a tie. Despite this choice of clothing, it in no way hinders his ability to fight.
