Ibara couldn't exactly pinpoint what the hell he was doing. There he stood, branded up in a vest and shorts yet here the young dragon was surrounded by a rather familiar cold aura. If it wasn't clear already, his rather fiery head was bandaged up from eyes to chin, completely concealing his vision for the most part aside from the occasional glimpse he'd eventually manage to stammer time and time again; truth be told, he didn't like what he saw. The odd tree here and there, interspersed, deathly branches, a hallowed, muffled sound ever-coming from the corner of his ear. Ibara wished he couldn't determine where he was but it was safe to say Ibara knew exactly where he stood.

The young dragon punched at the ground while remaining blindfolded. This was the last time he allowed his teammates to ever choose his location for this supposedly blind-date that he'd been inquired about only a few weeks before. An event to celebrate the 14th of Feburary -- Valentines Day. A rather unsuccessful and uneventful day of the month for the young dragon. He'd never celebrated it before and he was sure, back then anyway, that he wasn't going to start now. That was until the Sabertooth members took him out mid-sleep, bandaged him up and shipped him off to the worst of locations imaginable. Ibara couldn't even think, whomever his blind-date might be, about what they might believe about his "choice" of location..

The young dragon grimaced and spoke aloud, never once, bizzarely, removing his blindfold to observe his surroundings. Was he frightened..? No he was bloody terrified. This situation couldn't get any worse, Ibara crossed his fingers in the hopes that his date wasn't a total bore; only then could it get worse.

"Sabertooth.. you buncha' punks.." Ibara shook himself and prepared for the roller-coaster ahead. This was going to be one bumpy ride.

Ibara remained absolutely steadfast, paralysed in a state of timelessness without any idea of what he were to do at this point. There he stood in his least favourite place in the world with an obliviousness of what to continue with, what to occupy himself with rather than applying himself to his own fear. His eyes narrowed as various sounds began to surround him from almost every angle, invading on his very sanity with each crunch of a leaf, each snap off a branch, each shriek of a nearby owl. Everything in this forest put him on edge, there were simply too many bad memories in this forest to think about it in any positive manner. He thought back to Klein whom probably was residing in a pretty chilled manner back at the Guild by now. He envied him, why wasn’t he on this trip too? Although, the implication that Klein was as scared of this place as Ibara was, was next to impossible. No one hated this place more than the young dragon.

Silence continued to intrude on Ibara’s awkwardness radiating from his figure and into the shadowy depths of the forest around him. He still hadn’t moved because for some reason, he could sense movement from a distance and nose instantly picked up a smell of familiarity from somewhere nearby. Due to his inhabitancy with his father Igneel, Ibara had ascertained an excellent sense of smell and was able to recognise people from the greatest of distances but, for the first time ever, Ibara didn’t trust his nose. What if it were just another trick played on him by the forest to lure him into a trap? The superstition was real. Ibara simply refused to move or react to the familiar smell which now grew closer and closer, its prominence ascending in his mind.

Before he knew it, a sound occupied the smell, the crunching of leaves only a few inches behind his body and a familiar word, a word normally used trivially but it was anything but to the young dragon as the sound echoed from behind him.

"Boo!”

Ibara doubted this was the reaction Anna was expecting and his entire body burst emphatically into flames, even so far as to cloud his whole face from view, his entire figure rippling with a blazing inferno, obscuring every singularity on his facial features. He didn’t even bother to turn around, allowing the flames to explode and ripple from his figure. However, beneath this façade of power, there lied a deep terror and trauma. The voice was familiar but Ibara refused to let it reach him… what if it were just another trick?

"I’m not going to turn around. I refuse. Who the hell are you?! Why do you sound like Anna?! You better take a step away, baka, or we’re going to have some serious problems.."

Ibara doubted himself entirely, he attempted to will himself to turn around, to recognise Anna who in actuality was only standing a few metres behind him, probably scared for her life as Ibara’s words flooded with a raging fear, like an animal that stands on its last legs, being faced against all odds against the pinnacle of its predators. But he didn’t turn around. He stood there like a blazing inferno, setting the entire Spooky Forest up in a brilliant light. Could Anna convince him otherwise or would this simply be a repetition of Ibara’s last entrance here.

The soft touch of a woman was never non-distinguishable for anything else. He could feel humanly presence, it wasn’t like before. Those horrific nightmares that haunted him on a regular basis, they covered every aspect of his mind, threatening to break him from the inside and out. He had the willpower to power through though, to completely ignore his fear and return to this place only to be paralysed by that same emotion once more.  He refused to let it get to him for much longer. He had to turn around, he had to face his fears regardless of the consequences. Besides, he’d beaten that monster once before, he could definitely do it again. All it took was one slight moment.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

He screamed as he turned around, ripping free of that grasp that felt way more humane than ghostly, initially triggering this reaction in the first place. He turned to meet the figure and his breath was caught, all the fire evaporating around his body in an instant. He jumped backwards, only to land on his back, his head elevated to glance at the figure once more. Blonde curls danced down her frame and those piercing eyes glared back at him, wincing with the initial pain of having to deal with his fire closely and personally. Ibara bit his lip and held back a groan, he couldn’t believe the sincerity of his actions. His own paralysis of fear had caused another harm, this was the worst date he’d ever had; the first date he’d ever had.

"Anna?! I’m sorry… I’m so sorry. This place… it…"

Ibara struggled for words while remaining on his back, his lip quavered but he refused to let a tear drop; the young dragon had shown enough weakness on this particular trip for one night. Instead he attempted to comprehend what exactly this woman was doing here. Why had she come?! This couldn’t possibly be the blind date that the Sabertooth Guild Members had arranged for him, no one knew Anna. She was a being lost into her own existence. How did she navigate herself here? Ibara supposed she travelled a lot, that would’ve helped but to this specific location? It prompted more questions to be uttered as Ibara bit back the initial guilt he felt for burning Anna’s hands. He would come to that a little later.

"You didn’t eat my date, did you?"

After her reply, he’d continue his initial train of thought. Finally returning to his initial sympathetic emotions from earlier after burning Anna’s hands. He glanced at her open palms, the sweltering flesh which glistened red and peeled slowly. He didn’t realise the extremities of his heat that he emanated, a feeling unknown to the young dragon simply due to his immunity of the substance. He breathed heavily and slow got to his feet, taking in a small breath of fresh air, his first relaxed motion from the second he’d set foot in the Spooky Forest.

"I’m sorry about your hand… This place gives me the creeps. I should just leave."

Ibara turned to go, he couldn’t look at her in the eyes after hurting another individual after such a pathetic reason.
