Personality: Ness used to be a self-entitled brat, spoiled and rotten. As the daughter of Arianna Blaise, guildmaster of the Yuta Witches, she developed a strong sense of self-importance. From time to time, this attitude still becomes apparent. She prefers to be in charge of any situation and is quick to exert her command when the opportunity presents itself. However, since her recent ordeals, she has become more humble. Or at least less snobbish.
She sees others more as equals and is considerably more apathetic. Having been knocked off her high horse, she has more of a capacity to relate to the kind of people she once considered to be pions. She remains a fiercely determined and confident individual who prefers to disassociate herself with the kind of behaviour typically expected from a “normal lady”. Often, she will swear, belch and “booty cough” without shame or consideration towards those around her. She also likes to engage in bar fights, arm wrestling and eating or drinking contests. Usually, she is at her happiest during a night off after a busy day, intoxicated and partying.
Outwardly, she comes across as being tough and intimidating, but sometimes a bit of self-doubt, fear and anxiety creeps out. Having lost her powers, she feels incredibly vulnerable and often attempts to play on other people's vulnerabilities through relentless taunting and insulting to get the upper hand. She doesn't take well to orders, nor does she allow herself to rely on anyone other than herself, and will simply just do things at her own pace, exactly the way that she wants to. This is regardless of who she may be working with or for, and it has garnered her a bit of an unsavoury reputation.
Should anyone succeed in breaking the many barriers she has surrounded herself with, they will realise that Ness is a vulnerable, lonely individual. She refuses to acknowledge any need for friends, despite there being numerous occasions in which she has shown herself to be a compassionate and loyal ally provided they remain on the right terms. However, this can change in the blink of an eye if it means saving her own skin.
In battle, she is prone to overestimating herself as she has yet to fully adjust to losing her former powers. This sometimes leads to her biting off more than she can chew, picking a fight with the wrong person, and generally landing herself in a lot of trouble. She once famously boasted an ability to create an inferno as hot as the sun when she was facing down a couple of thugs. Naturally, the thugs were nervous, but when it came to the casting of this spell, they merely suffered little more than first degree burns. It was an embarrassing moment in her life that she still hasn't been able to live down. Since then, she vowed to herself to never announce a spell before casting it, for fear of making the same mistake again. That is, unless she is sure of her ability to cast said spell.
Likes:
- Being in charge: Being in control of a situation makes Ness considerably more comfortable as she is more self-reliant.
- Egg Noodles: Believes them to be a staple part of her every day diet, she will have them with almost anything. A particular favourite is Hoi Sin Duck with Noodles. She gets cranky if she can't have any.
- Brawling: Nothing better than a good fist fight to unwind after a busy day.
- Sake: Preferably undiluted.
Dislikes:
- Cider: It still baffles her how anyone can stand to drink that kind of swill.
- People who talk too much: Ness has a pretty short fuse and doesn't take too well to pests.
- Small dogs: The kind that yelp and nip at your ankles.
Motivations:
- Power: First and foremost on her list is power. She strives for this above all else.
- Restoring her mother's guild to glory: After seeing it destroyed, she wants to bring it back stronger than ever.
- Recognition: Ness likes to make a lasting impression on those she meets.
Fears:
- Permanent loss to her power: Not being able to regain the powers she had lost is one of her greatest fears.
- Bathophobic: Fear of depth. Normally associated with large bodies of water, such as lakes or the ocean, but it also induces anxiety when underground in caves or tunnels.
- Being forgotten about when she dies: She wants to make enough of an impression on the world that she will go down in history as a legend.

Appearance: Ness is quite an attractive looking young woman. She is rather short, but maintains a sturdy build that reveals her to be someone who likes to keep active and is by no means weak. Generally speaking, she prefers to dress modestly and comfortably. She is not against wearing skirts or dresses, but sees them as something suitable for more specific circumstances rather than practical use. As such, you will most often see her garbed in a t-shirt or tank top, a pair of jeans (likely elasticated so as not to constrict her movement) or shorts, and a pair of boots or trainers.
