Gentle rays of sun shined through the papered window, that was cracked just right so each beam of light was directed for Tyriel's face. The harsh light making the woman squint her eyes and moan. What time was it? What happened?
Waking up a bit more, a pounding pain erupted through her skull as a headache grew right at the center of her forehead. She tried to open her eyes, but the light was too bright to open them just yet, so she started to take in what surroundings she could. She wasn't dressed in what she had on last night, and these certainly weren't her sheets and blankets. They were more rough unlike her silk and warm comforter blanket. The smell of the room was different too, more of a musky and dusty smell compared to her lavender candles and the protruding scent of books and paper that she could recognize from anywhere.
Her hands explored outwards, at least until she would feel something...
Why am I in Mike Tyson's tub? And why is there a baby here? And a Tiger!
Morning had come. Baal's lips were dry and his head ached. He slept restlessly, feeling like the just put his head down upon his pillow. Baal had slept on his side facing towards the inside of the bed. Baal felt something upon his side, stirring him awake. Letting out a little grumble, Baal slowly opened his eyes. Beams of light from the cracked window shone through with authority, completely avoiding his face.
His eyes were blurry and his head throbbed. Loud thuds could be heard through his skull, like the veins were hammering through the thick bone of his head, forcing Baal to close his eyes tightly shut due to the pain. Licking his chapped lips, he reached over and grabbed something soft. This sobered up Baal very quickly. His eyes shot open, but remained extremely blurry. He squeezed his hand a couple of times before his vision cleared up to see Tyriel laying there with his hand upon her chest. He couldn't put two-and-two together immediately.
And then it clicked into his head. "To what do I owe the pleasure of your company?" he said reflexively. Then there was awkward silence. Coming to the realization of what might have happened, he withdrew his hand and sat up with an awestruck expression upon his face. "No fucking way."
His touch was a huge shock to Tyriel, her eyes growing wide and her mouth hanging open slightly in her awe struck state. His warm hand completely grasping her chest, and even squeezing! His warm hand tingling against her skin. She couldn't even say anything! Even though she tried. Her eyes remained large and open, as she stared up at the confused man.
Then suddenly, it was like it all clicked. She had some flashbacks of what had happened last night. She remembered sitting at the bar, drinking and having fun with a certain person. They were betting, and then she remembered falling... After a moment, a few images darted across her mind from last night. The way she felt, and the way he felt.
" Ba-aal?" She stammered before sitting up, pressing the sheet to her chest, and pulling her hair back away from her face. God, where was her glasses??
Looks like neither of us are cooking bacon naked this time.
Clearing his throat, he threw the sheets off of him to stand up. He held up a single finger, still trying to figure out what was going on. He ran through his fragmented memories of the previous night and started to steadily piece-together what actually happened last night. Bits and pieces came back to him before walking to his sink and splashing water onto his face. His power of recall was hindered by the amount of alcohol consumed last night.
While washing his face, he stopped and looked up at the mirror. It was like he had a moment of clarity; eureka! Leaving the water running, he ran back into the bedroom and looked at the beautiful woman wrapped up in the sheets. Baal, on the other hand, was as naked as the day he was born. Though, his brain didn't work correctly yet and he didn't realize it at the moment.
"I think we... Ya know," he said with a slight pause, almost as if avoiding bringing the subject up but at the same time trying to state what happened. Well, he couldn't have been luckier to have spent the night with a beautiful woman like her. He paused for a moment to look down, realizing he was swaying in the breeze. "Well, that explains why I'm like this," he simply stated pan-faced. He made absolutely no effort to cover himself up. Good thing he locked the door, any unwanted visitor would make things a bit awkward.
"So, um. I think we should take a shower and get something to eat?"
Tyriel sat there awkwardly as Baal stood up out of bed, and her face lit up bright. Glancing down, she saw that he was as naked as she was; Tyriel forced herself to look away, even though her vision was blurry she still recognized human body features. She scooted herself to the edge of the bed, draping the sheet over her still as he walked to the attached bathroom.
The woman pulled all her hair over he shoulder and ran her fingers through her scalp pushing it all to one side. She sat and thought for a second. She remembered how she felt about him last night, and then she began to bite on her bottom lip like she did normally when nervous. Suddenly he sprang back into the room, still naked... Tyriel looked away from the man and nodded in response to her comment. She just had to accept it. Tyriel had given herself to a man; For the first time ever. She didn't regret giving it to Baal, as she seemed to have enjoyed it, but the realization came upon too fast and her face continued to turn red. She had never thought about doing this with ANYONE... Or period. She was busy with her books, and working with her magic. She never even looked at a man...
Tyriel glanced up at the larger man, using her magic to focus her eyes so she could see his features. His awkward face, and sultry red eyes made her stomach flutter. Then when he made the comment of showering, Tyriel felt her body shake. " Um, yeah. I think that would be a good idea.. " She said standing up. ' Might as well get this over with ' She thought as she dropped the sheet, leaving it on the bed. Her hair draping over her pale flesh, brushing down to her knees. Tyriel bit her lip and winced at the idea of him mocking her for standing there like this.
Baal's eyes opened wide for a moment as Tyr dropped the blanket from her body and exposed herself. He turned his head upwards and to the side, still being able to see Tyr out of his peripheral vision. It's not something one would see every day. Clearing his throat once more, Baal raised up a single finger as if to give him a moment. He disappeared back into the bathroom and started the shower. He turned the temperature down slightly. While Baal enjoyed really warm showers, he didn't want to scald Tyr's skin.
Once the water is set to something 'just right', Baal walked back out with his right hand dripping wet from sampling the water. Without fail, he got an eye-full of Tyriel, forcing him to look to the side once more. "The shower is ready. Go ahead, I'll go afterward," he simply stated. Hopefully she didn't think that they would go together. No. It's currently extremely awkward just looking at each other naked right now, let alone getting into the shower together. One thing at a time.
Baal walked rigidly to his bed and took a seat on the corner. He sits there, awaiting Tyr to take her shower until it was his turn. The corner of his lips tugged a bit realizing that he's going to have to do laundry for a while now. The bed still smells like her.
Feeling uneasy while standing there in front of him, Tyriel tried hard not to look at him. Each time however, she got a butterfly feeling in the pit of her stomach. The woman watched as he went into the bathroom and turned on the shower. So she followed behind him, still keeping a slight distance. He played with the water, testing the temperature and such. When it seemed to be good enough she was going to wait for him to get in but instead he offered the shower to her.
Blinking her eyes a few times she just nodded, really relieved that he would give her some space. She waited till he left before getting in and closing the curtain behind her. The temperature was nice, giving her a tingle across her pale skin. she smiled and let the water flow all over her. Thinking about what happened between them , her face flushed and she gripped her hands over her stomach. These feelings made her nervous, and she was uneasy about all of this. Tyriel had never looked at a man romantically before, but after a few moments of thinking about it, she recalled the feeling of his body pressed against her's.
Tyriel smiled and decided that all of this was a good thing and she would just let her heart lead her. She was old enough to make mistakes of her own, and she would look to future without planning for once. After a few minutes, she finally found some form of soap and began singing to herself, a cute soft tune that her mother had once sang to her before she died. This was what she did when she felt so happy and giddy, as it expressed her emotion properly.
It didn't take very long before she was finished, and she left the water running for him to follow. She wrapped a towel around her body and tucked it at her cleavage. Taking a separate towel and patting it around her long hair that she had folded over one shoulder.
Walking out from the shower the woman left a slight water trail from it running down her thighs and pale legs. " You can go now." She said, even though it was rather obvious. Now where was her clothes and glasses?
There's something about a woman wrapped up in a towel that men of every civilized culture found alluring. Baal looked at her for a moment, captivated by her appearance out of the shower. Something about her seemed different. She went into the shower nervously but came out of the shower with confidence. A moment of quiet introspection may have been the cause of her change in demeanor.
Standing up, Baal stood before her for a moment with a smile. "Thanks," he said as he walked confidently passed her. He had no shame. The culture he came from didn't see the naked body as taboo as this planet does. They saw it as something natural and something beautiful to celebrate. The people on this planet are strange folk, indeed. The shower remained running, closing the door to the bathroom behind him. Using his Mystic Hands, he turned the temperature knob to make the water hot; the way Baal likes his showers.
Stepping into the shower, he looked up towards the shower head and let the water fall upon his face, pulling his hair back. For some reason, he opened his mouth and let the hot water flow into his open mouth, swished the water around before spitting the water out. Just something he always did when in the shower. He did this a couple more times before thinking. Usually, he thought of home when in the shower, but today was a bit different.
A bar of soap floated around, lathering up his body while his arms hung to his side. Something about this woman drove him crazy. He was instantly attracted to her the moment he first saw her and wouldn't have dreamt in a million years to have done that with something like her. Just thinking about it put him in a state of euphoria strong enough to cause a feeling of vertigo. The soap was put away after a brief lathering before being replaced and the soap rinsed off his body.
The water turned off and he opened the curtain to see that there were no towels. Staring blankly at the towel rack, he turned his eyes towards the sink and opened the bottom of the sink without moving only to come up with nothing. An audible groan could be heard as he used his Mystic Hands to 'wring out' the water from his body. Baal walked out of the bathroom and towards his room without bothering to cover up.
He held a hand out towards one of the towels she possessed. "Mind if I get one of those?"
While she felt a bit more comfortable, especially since she was covered by some form of cloth; a sigh of relief escaped her lips after Baal had gone into the shower and closed the door. Keeping the towel around her, she took a quick look around the room. Glancing around the large barrels that took up a majority of the space; taking a gander at the bed that she once slept on, and realizing what was now on the sheets. Tyriel's face turned bright, and that was when she decided now was a good time to get dressed. Finding her clothes was not a problem, they were scattered all around.
She actually put her undergarments back on and set her dress on the bed. But what she really needed was her glasses... Tyriel looked high and low for them, looking around the door, on the floor and finally under the bed. She was kneeling on the bed, and looking to see if they fell off when she heard the bathroom door open. And she was not in the best position. Her ass in plain view. She blushed and handed Baal a towel, " Sorry. " She said scratching the back of her head.
Looking up at him she nearly dropped from the amount of flurries it sent through her body. His angular face, framed by his soft gray blue hair; His darker skin... Tyriel had to force herself to look away. Using her magic to get a clear view was perhaps not the best choice right now. Suddenly she realized that she was sitting there in her underwear and bra. Frantically she stood up and slipped her dress on in a hurry. Stumbling a bit to get it over her curves.
And Baal asked her while she was in quite the precarious position. Head down, ass up. While most men would be absolutely thrilled at that position, Baal cleared his throat and looked away. While it was a wonderful sight to behold, and the fact that the image is now burnt into his memory, he would almost rather see her fully clothed at the moment. The strange feeling of awkwardness still lingered with him. Strange how the one that was completely naked would rather see a woman clad in underwear get clothing on.
He was handed the towel and he turned around to dry himself off. His back was strong and wide with many, many scars lining his back. He casually dried himself off before walking towards his dresser, finding himself a spare change of underwear. After putting on the underwear, he started to put on his tunic and then his armor. While he was dressed in a more respectable fashion, he turned his eyes to look towards the purple haired beauty.
"While last night was kind of hazy, how about you and I do something sober some time?" he asked as he continued to strap his leather armor upon his body. "While last night might have been fun," he said. Yeah, he doesn't remember much. He just put together the aftermath and put the pieces together, "wouldn't it be better if we got to know each other and be able to remember it?" He doesn't know much about courtship on this planet, but he's done it several times before in the 100 years he has spent here.
"Well, shall we find the right time to get you out of here or not? If we get caught," he said as he adjusts the the long leather gauntlets, tightening the glove upon his fingertips. "rumors will start up." Whether the rumor mill starts to go with what Baal and Tyriel has done wouldn't bother him, he's more worried about what people would think of her. If this planet was like his, women are treated with a different standard. He was afraid that a goddess like Tyriel would get treated in a much harsher light than he would for 1 night of drunken fun.
OOC Notes: Yup, I think that's enough nudity for 1 thread lol.
Tyriel had finished getting dressed and watched intently as Baal began to dress himself. There seemed like so much to his armor and she studied the intricate designs he had and how he put it all together. She wasn't quite sure, but she could swear that things seemed to be moving by themselves...
Activating her target spell, she was able to see the magic coding within Baal, and the faint use of his invisible hands. The way he used magic was different from herself and those of Fiore, but there was similarities in structure. She was able to pick up on these traces and watch how his magic was used and activated. Quite interesting.
She thought for a moment, this tie of morning, everyone would be coming in and out for jobs and food. This was a bad time to leave his room together. She bit her bottom lip and thought about the possibility of making it to her room, but that didn't seem possible as she could hear the people outside as it was. Then it dawned on her. "Well i don't want to surprise everyone just yet... So i was thinking of going into town today.." Tyriel then walked over to his partially opened window and looked out it. She had the entire structure of the building and its surrounding constructs burned into her magic, which she was able to access at anytime inside her head. His window face the south side of the building, which they could drop down onto the road outside after a bit of a climb..
Speaking of climb, she wouldn't be able to do it in her dress.. so now was as good of time as any to work on her Script Requip. Magic that utilized her download and rewrite spell work that preformed similar to Requip magic. She stood there, arm's out and concentrated. She was certainly not fast at this, as it used a bit of magic to preform. A new spell and all.... Soon a large magic circle erupted around her and her body glowed. Script lies of magic data turned around her whole body and after it disappeared she was wearing boots, a pair of shorts and a black tank top... Her hair was even braided. She was starting to get really good!
Tyriel shot a thumbs up to Baal before heading out the window to drop down onto the one story rooftop below. From there it was quite easy to slide down a rain gutter and onto the ground below the guild hall. She was lucky that the hall was structured similar to a stepped triangle.
Why didn't Baal think of using the window as a form of escape. That's probably why she held an administrative position while Baal was stuck with the grunt work. She quickly changed out of her usual dress to something more appropriate. He responded to her thumbs up with a little wave. As she shot outside, Baal moved towards the window to watch her descend. Clearing his throat, he placed his cloak over his shoulders and clasped it, putting his foot upon the lip of the window as if he was ready to jump out.
Baal stopped himself as he turned and looked towards the sheets with a bit of a grumble. Leaving that there isn't what he's about. Something like that needs to be cleaned. Moving his feet down from the window sill, he walked over to the bed and stripped off the blanket, pillow cases, and bed sheet with his bare hands. If he wasn't wearing gloves, this probably would have felt absolutely awful. He crumpled everything up and tossed it into the laundry hamper. He disappeared into his bathroom for a moment to pull out a de-odorizing spray and began to douse the linen in it. This won't fix anything, but it'll stop it from smelling awful later on.
Looking at it a bit more, he cleared his throat and returned to the bathroom to turn on the shower. He flipped it to the faucet and let it run, filling up the tub a bit before disappearing to the laundry hamper and tossing all of his linens into the bath. He ensured everything got soaked before turning off the water and eye-balling the linen. The only thing he regrets about last night is what he is dealing with right now.
Now he was ready! He put his foot upon the window-sill for a moment before looking around once more, to make sure he isn't forgetting anything. After realizing he wasn't forgetting anything, he leapt out the window, using his Mystic Hands to actually slow down his descent. He dropped down, stopping just short of the ground, levitating off of the ground. His fall was as loud as a pin-drop. After gracefully landing, he set himself down upon his feet.
Baal looked around for a moment.
??? You're lost, aren't you?
Baal was, indeed lost. He was still relatively new to the guild, so he hasn't had the time to get that well-acquainted with the lay-out of the area. He put his hands upon his hips and looked around. With a deep breath inward, he paused for a moment, only to let out the breath in a deep sigh. Yup, he's lost.
Inhaling the fresh mountain air, Tyriel smiled. It was a very nice day, it wasn't cold, but it wasn't a million degrees either. The warm breeze was very welcoming as it rushed through the trees causing leaves to fall around her. She enjoyed the fact that the guild was in a place like this. Such a nature filled area, where she could love the peaceful aura it all set up.
She rocked on her heels and grinned before looking behind her hoping to see Baal... but he wasn't around. She squinted her eyes to try and see if he was still in the window but he wasn't. " Where did he go?"... she said while walking towards town. He probably got to far ahead and got lost... Tyriel headed into the village, which was just a quarter of a mile from the guild. They were practically attached.
The streets were bustling, kids running past her, and the markets were selling fresh goods. The warm air, and perfect weather made for an amazing day to be in town. Normally it was hazy and rained alot, so today was just magnificent. She tried to keep an eye out for Baal though, she knew he was new around this area, so she felt bad for having lost him. The woman bit her bottom lip and began her search.
It had been about an half an hour and she still had not found him. She was beginning to get really discouraged and hoped he did not find her silly and ditch her completely. The woman was passing through an alley between some large buildings when her hand was suddenly grabbed. Tyriel tried to swing around but was pushed up against the concrete wall. Her face being pressed against the cold stone and her arms twisted around her back.
Startled she tried to scream out but was met with a fist to her jaw, which made her head bounce against the wall and her mouth bleed instantly. " Hello darling..." a voice whispered into her ear. She didn't recognize it, which meant that this was a stranger to her.
Looking around frantically she seen two more men standing around, blocking the view of her and the thief. Because that was exactly what he was, nothing more than a bully that was groping her for anything material wise she had. " Be a good girl and don't scream anymore "... he said and then ran his tongue over his lips. She wanted to cry. This, all this, brought back so many memories. And in each one, she was weak. Why couldn't she fight back??!
Baal looked around, trying to figure out where he was. He was approached by one of the generic members of the guild and they slapped their forehead. Baal found out the hard way that he was just in the courtyard and that the way out was the other way. Baal looked to the generic NPC and glared at him for being a general douchebag. After the brief glare, he ran through the guild hall and out the front doors. While he was running, he blinked a bit and began to levitate just slightly above the ground.
He was swift as he made his way down to the town. He slowed his pace to a standard walking pace, looking around town. Children played in the streets and the smell of food wafted into his nose. The vendors were on full boil as they sold various treats such as goat-pieces on a stick and various other deep-fried treats. Voices cried out trying to sell their food, their wares, and other items. The day of a normal town. Nothing strange.
A strange smell wafted into his nose. This caused Baal to think about it for a moment, having smelled that scent before. It was blood, very familiar blood. Baal sniffed the air like an animal before following it's scent to an alleyway. He turned his eyes to bear witness to what's going on, seeing Tyriel pinned to the wall of the alley by an unknown man. That blood that he smelled was Tyriel's blood.
Baal's eyes glowed a bright red, piecing the darkness. He simply took a step forward towards the man assaulting Tyr and cleared his throat. "You have two seconds to step away from her."
The man assaulting Tyriel turned his head towards Baal and laughed for a moment before feeling his arms snap, as if every bone in his forearms were smashed into tiny splinters. Due to this, his grip upon Tyriel had released. Baal had the eyes of a killer. The man was slowly turned towards Baal and brought over to him. The Mystic Hands manipulating the man's body as if it was a puppet.
"You're just a simple human. Killing you would be too easy," Baal stated in a cocky manner. "No magical powers, no actual combat skills. I haven't killed someone like you in a long time. Do you want me to spare your life?" Baal said. The man began to shout out his plea, but before he had a chance to make a coherent sentence, Baal simply ripped off both of his arms. Before the man had a chance to react to his arms being torn off, Baal then tore off the man's legs soon after. He tossed the limbs away from the bloodied pool.
Baal crossed his arms as the man was moved away from him and turned upside down. Sighing a bit, the man was raised up high into the air and then brought down swiftly into the ground. All screams from the man had ceased, leaving just a blood stain. Baal did this a few more times, turning what's left of his face and body into an indiscernible mess. After that was done, he threw what was left of the man with the pile of limbs. Clearing his throat and wiping the blood off of him, he turned and looked towards Tyriel. His fangs were clearly visible as well as his glowing red eyes.
One minute she was nearly drowning in her blood, and being pressed hard against a cold wall while being touched in non friendly places; the next, she was slumped on the ground as her knees collapsed.
She turned to see Baal standing there, and the man that once held her screaming. Her ears were ringing and her vision got blurry as tears welled up and ran down her cheeks. Why was she crying?... Tyriel leaned her back against the wall and watched the scene before her with wide eyes. The man hitting the ground repeatedly, the two other men run off instantly. When it was all finished, Baal faced her, his eyes bright red and his face dark, which made his teeth glisten in the light. Most would see a monster, but she saw a hero. Someone strong, stronger than her. Someone just like from before...
Tyriel nodded as an answer to his question and attempted to stand up, her legs wobbly. She leaned on the wall and managed to climb up, then wiping the blood from her lips. She looked at Baal and instantly wanted to cry again. Why did he save her? Why is it she always needed to be saved? When was she going to be strong too?
She stepped forward to fall into his arms, pressing herself in to hug him. " Thank you.."
A beauty fell into his arms and he wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly. "Sorry about that. getting lost. If I was with you the whole time, this would never have happened," he said, taking the blame on himself for this one. If only he had been there with her, none of this would have happened. Well, then again, if the man approached the two and made threats, Baal would have done the same thing. But the man was a coward. He wouldn't have done any of that if Baal was with Tyr.
Baal cleared his throat, the smell of blood growing stronger and stronger. However, the smell of Tyr's blood was intoxicating. The closer he got to the woman, the stronger her blood's scent. He felt hunger for her blood thus moving one of his arms that were around the woman to create space between the two, putting his hand below her chin. He moved her chin upwards to let their eyes meet for a moment. Baal moved his face down to give her a kiss upon her lips. This served Baal two purposes: 1: Gave Baal a good reason to consume her blood, sating his hunger for it. 2: Show his affection for the woman (and to calm her down from what she just experienced)
After the kiss, he pulled back and licked his blood-soaked lips. He slipped an arm over Tyr's shoulder. "The smell of blood is really strong here and I think we need to get away from here. I might be wanted for murder if they find out about this place," he said as he cleared his throat. He didn't exactly have the type of magic that cleaned up after himself. So getting out of dodge for the moment (or at least from this area) would probably be for the best.
She shook her head when Baal had blamed himself for what had happened. No, that wasn't right for him to say. It happened, no stopping it. She just wished she could have actually done something about it herself.. Tyriel felt as he lifted her face to meet his, and she stared into his eyes. She didn't look at him like everyone else did. His lips met her's and her stomach fluttered in excitement. Her hands rested at his side and her eyes closed as she returned his kiss.
Opening her eyes once more, Tyriel watched as he licked her blood from his lips; her face flushed instantly. Not because she was horrified, but because he tasted her blood and said nothing bout it being awful. Did he like it? Was this normal for couples to do?? Tyriel's eyes got wide and she looked down. She had never been in a relationship.. even if she could call this one.
She just nodded and took his hand to walk away from him. She didn't want anything else to do with what happened here. She came to realize that Baal had killed that man... but he did it to save her. And for that, she was happy. She felt... special. Tyriel glanced up at Baal and felt her stomach drop. She really cared for this man. Maybe even more than she knew.
The look on her face when she saw his tongue drag across his lips. The small hand grabbing his as the two were whisked away from this awful place. Certainly, if the two were found here, they'd be accused of a heinous crime. While Baal could have simply broken all of the man's limbs and left it at that, he went too far this time. But something about killing that man felt needed. He made a mistake for laughing him off and for attacking Tyriel. He just made mistake after mistake and he paid for it with the ultimate price.
Baal has been in his share of relationships, both on this planet and on his home planet. Though, the ritual of courting was a bit different on this planet. Courting in his home was something that two members were destined for. The stars chose two people to marry and they are to remain with one another. Your mate was chosen for you at birth. However, on this planet people are free to choose their mate and they are generally happy with their self-made arrangements. Things are more cooperative than destined; a thing that Baal liked. Though, Baal did still love the woman he was destined to on his home world, it has been over a hundred years since then. It was enough time for him to forget and get accustomed to the new lands.
The only problem with choosing your own mate is that love can be a fickle thing. Love is like the tides. There is an ebb and flow. Quitters can easily just give in and not stick it out. However, the people here had a choice and the ability to be happy, the ability to make themselves happy. They weren't stuck in a situation they didn't want. To be able to choose your own fate was one of the reasons he has grown to love this planet's culture. Though, some people like the man in the alley, made wrong decisions.
Following the beautiful woman as she pulled them, he let a smile come over his face. "Where are you taking us?"
Tyriel had totally forgotten to include him on where they were going. With a quick answer to give him she pulled on the front of her shirt. Which was covered in blood, as well as her shirts. She didn't clean up as easily as him and she needed to find a way not to draw attention to herself.
" Honestly, i know i said we would come into town, but after all that, i don't think it would be wise. And i dont have another outfit in my sources at the moment." She said after turning a corner. Luckilly there was a clothing store on the way into the eastern forest. Recently she had spent alot of time out there, during her first weeks at the guild and had found a very special spot that she would love to enjoy the rest of the afternoon in.
Tyriel stopped at the vendor's quickly running in and returning with a bag. She had picked out something simple and not worth alot of money. Seeing as how there was a possibility of it getting ruined. The woman then made one more stop, grabbing a few prepared lunch boxes on her way out of town. " I know a lovely spot just about a quarter mile this way into the trees." She said smiling.
She reminded Baal that staying in town was probably a bad idea. Baal took a sigh outward for a moment as the two stopped by a shopping vendor. Baal waited outside for a moment and tapped his foot. He heard stories about men going shopping with women and how absolutely painful it can be. However, Tyriel was in and out rather quickly. Perhaps the stories he had heard were based off of exaggerations. Afterward, she went to go to a food vendor, getting the two of them a boxed lunch.
"Are we going to do, what they call, a picnic?" he asked inquisitively. They didn't have this word in his home land, but he did do something like this with the one he was destined to be with. The times were sweet and gentle back then. He remembered the smell of the sweet wind. The scent of honey. Just remembering that memory made Baal sniff the air, imagining the sweet scent of honey. But alas, he was disappointed.
No, the wind was cool. He followed the beauty towards the 'lovely spot' that she knew of. Why is it that she is taking him to a special place? Is it possible that she found Baal to be someone special to her and that she wanted to show him something beautiful? The thought of it made Baal's heart skip a beat. As he followed behind Tyriel, his eyes began to deceive him, reminding him of being pulled by the one he was destined to be with. His hands were smaller back then, but the feeling was very familiar. The only thing missing is the armored escort. He shook his head, returning to the real world. His eyes were on Tyriel, not someone he knew a hundred years ago.
With a smile on her face Tyriel glanced at Baal, " You can sort of call it that. You said get something to eat right? Well i don't want to stay in town after all that, so we will take it to go!" She said while tugging on his hand. Baal's hands reminded her of nature in itself. Hard and weathered, but behind the hard shell she could sense the soft beating flesh. Now that she thought about it, all around he reminded her of nature. Especially back there. His face was stern, but she could see a tinge of heart and fear in his eyes. Tyriel smiled and felt a few tears fall from her face. She would become stronger, she knew it. To be able to protect those that would give everything for her.
She walked around a small bend of tree's and smiled when she came on the edge of a field. This was her marker that they were almost there.. It was also another one of her favorite spots. As the green grass was filled with beautiful wild mountain flowers of all colors. Today they shined in the sun and waved with the soft wind. She sighed and stepped out into the flowers that came up to her knees. She leaned to run her fingers over some of their soft petals.
They reminded her of the one's that grew next to her home in Hargeon. The one's her mother and her worked so hard to keep brilliant and beautiful. Tyriel smiled and picked one to run it around in her fingers. It was a flushed pink color, and had petals that laid over her small finger tips. She could easilly name all of the flowers that grew on the hill, but this one was her favorite, as it had the same color of the dresses her mother always wore... Why these memories kept coming back to Tyriel, she was unsure.. But she was happy about them.
" Baal, can i ask you something?" She said then glancing up at him. Normally she would look past her glasses but they weren't sitting on the bridge of her nose like usual. " What is your home like?" She wished she could remember everything about her home, but she didn't and instead wanted to fill that space with memories of her own. Perhaps one a]day she would find peace in the answers she had sought. Tyriel then laid down in the flowers, the green grass spreading for her as her hair laid out under her. She had taken it out of the braid just before laying down, letting the wind caress it.
Baal followed her. Yes, it was a good time to leave the town. Getting food and leaving this place were his ideas after all. As the woman dragged Baal along, a smile could be seen on his face. His heart beat fervently as his hand was embraced into hers. Her hands were soft and warm. These didn't feel like the hands of a warrior. They weren't calloused and torn like his were. No. Something about her felt gentle all the way down to her soul.
He was taken around a bend of trees until the area opened up. His eyes opened wide and his jaw dropped s he saw the wide field of flowers. "Elysium," he whispered to himself. The field was beautiful and green with flowers as far as the eye can see. A stiff gust brushed some of the petals off of their stem to flutter through the air. The blending of pinks and blues, reds and oranges, and colors from throughout the spectrum.
The wind blew once more, tossing his long hair and his red cloak to the side. He turned his eyes towards the beautiful woman who brought him here. A look of serenity could be seen upon Baal's face. He watched as she ran to the knee-high flowers, frolicking through the field of color in a child-like manner. Tyriel was, indeed, beautiful to Baal's eyes. Someone that a foreigner, like him, would never have thought to have met. In the 500-some-odd years that Baal has remained alive, he has only seen one other that could rival the beauty of the woman before him. She seemed happy about this place.
She spoke, wanting to ask Baal a question; he gave her his undivided attention. After her question, Baal simply smiled and looked up into the sky. He used his left hand to shield the sun from his eyes for a moment before pointing his hand up into the sky. "My home is somewhere out there," he said pointing into the sky for a moment before lowering his arms and looking back at the woman before him. "We called that place Elysium."
The wind blew once more, tossing some more flower petal through the air, making the air smell like a multitude of flowers. The scent was sweet and calming. "Elysium is a lot like this place. It had beautiful fields of gold and dazzling waters. The people were friendly and varied like the people are here," he said before walking over to Tyriel, sitting next to where she laid down.
"In Elysium, we have two moons. We call them," he said as he pointed into the sky, making an outline of their general shape. One of the moons were shaped in a sharp waxing crescent while the other one looks fragmented with bits and pieces floating around it. He also drew the moons massively. "Ceres and Eris," he stated. "The night skies were also filled with color and lights. You could see a blanket of stars and a road of white across the sky." he said as he moved his hand across the sky to describe the path of the 'road of white'.
Baal then moved his hands to the back of his head and laid down next to Tyriel. "I was a member of the royal family, believe it or not."
Her eyes stared across the blue sky as his hands waved around the clouds. It was like he was drawing pictures with his fingers, as if he laid like this for hours, just tracing the beautiful sky he grew up with. Perhaps he did, perhaps he laid here just like this with a girl he loved once and imagined what was beyond his world. Now it seemed like he yearned for everything once more.
She smiled softly as her fingers traveled through the flowers and grass, plucking just the right ones to place in her hands. Flowers and tall strong grass, she pulled more and more and brought them together in her hands, weaving them between her nimble hands. Her eyes grew wide when he spoke of being royalty... She thought about why he would possibly be away for so long..
She created a circlet of flowers that she examined the sky through, " Is there anyone you left at home?" she said turning her head and peering at Baal. Her heart started to skip a few beats as she imagined him having a family, a home he would return to, a noble woman for the noble man. That was the duty for most nobility right? to produce an heir.. She bit the bottom of her lip and continued creating another string of flowers.
Baal's eyes turned to the side as Tyriel asked that question. It was a hard subject for him to think about, having been thrown from his home-land to a strange new world. His eyes narrowed just thinking about what had happened, causing him to ball his left hand into a fist. An event that happened over a lifetime ago is still fresh within his memory.
400 years ago wrote:Baal awakened with blurry eyes to see a man standing above him. his silhouette seen in front of a hot amber lamp. The man seemed to be smoking a cigarette, blowing the smoke down at him causing Baal to cough over the smoke. The man squatted down and put the cigarette out on the ground next to Baal's face.
"You know, I hate the royal family. What better way to get back at the royal family than to kidnap their wimpy fucking kid and try to squeeze ransom money from them. You wanna know why kidnapping wimpy shits," he said before delivering a kick to a young Baal's chest, knocking him across the room. "like you is so easy? Because little shits like you can't and won't fight back."
"But you aren't an heir to the throne. No no. In normal societies, you would be. But in a backwards ass planet like this, it's the women who inherit the throne," he said before lighting another cigarette. "The things I'd do to that sister of yours though."
All the things the man said before didn't bother Baal until the man mentioned something about his sister. "Don't you dare talk about my sister! She'll come for me! I know it!" Baal tried to get up on his own two feet, gnashing his teeth together and trying to get up before being kicked across the room once more.
"Don't make me laugh, boy. The only reason you're going to remain alive is because you were fated to be together. Stupid, backwards ass planet and your 'believing in fate' non-sense. Why can't you backwards FUCKS," he said before kicking Baal in the body once more, this time causing blood to come from him. "just do things like normal people. Seriously, the 'stars chose' you and your sister to be married for the rest of your long lives. How sick is that!"
The man took another long drag from his cigarette and moved back over to Baal, placing his boot upon his throat, applying just enough pressure to bother him. "That's why we are here. To remove the perversion of this planet. So we can take the seat of authority and change your twisted customs. Because if the one you were destined to be with dies as a child, you're destined to be alone for the rest of your long existence. Do you know how many people have committed suicide because of this non-sense!" the man said as he applied more pressure to Baal's throat.
Suddenly, a voice broke through. This caused a smile to come over the man's face as he dropped his cigarette next to Baal's face. "You're lucky this time kid. Your parents paid up. We'll see you again when we need more money," the man said with a stiff laugh before taking off. Baal curled up into a ball and coughed blood from his mouth.
100 Years Ago wrote:Approaching the throne room, Baal could be seen standing in front of his sister. This time, however, he is an adult. Baal stood, holding his cloak out to cover his sister's appearance from the men that invaded the throne room. In his left hand, the royal weapon, 'Black Crescent' could be seen. The sound of terrifying screeching could be heard from the weapon. Baal's eyes were fixated upon the man in the front, boiling over with rage. He recognized the man in front. It was the man from 300 years ago.
"Looky here! It seems the wimpy boy has become king of Elysium. Bravo. But we aren't here for you," the man said as he moved his hand to the side, forcing Baal to fly off to the side, smacking into a pillar. This left his sister completely vulnerable. "I told you we'd see you again, right? But this time, we're here to fix your kingdom. And to do that, we need to fix you. To take you out of the picture and turn this into a kingdom," the man said as he slowly walked towards Baal's sister.
Instinctively, she ran towards Baal, placing her hand upon his chest. "No. I will not allow this to happen. I'm sorry if what happened to you was bad, but that wasn't any of our fau-" she said before she was cut off.
"Bullshit, it wasn't the royal family's fault! They created the stupid law of 'Star Destined Lovers'. They created a law out straight from a romance novel! People are miserable with this law and are forced to marry people they shouldn't! People are forced to live alone once their destined lover dies! How would you feel if you had to experience that, Queen!?" the man shouted out. There was something personal in the way he shouted out his words.
This gave Baal enough time to regain consciousness. His hand still gripped upon the scythe. He felt a hand press down upon his chest. It was his sister's hand. She gave him a concerned look and a shake of her head, as if to tell him not to go. Her eyes plead more than her words could. However, Baal refused to listen to her and stood up on his own two feet. He breathed heavily and shouted out.
"I don't care about your woes. I have to obey by the same rules of the land. If I died, then my sis--- my wife would be alone for the rest of her life. You understand how that must feel, right?" Baal stated before tightly gripping his weapon. A strange energy gathered in the invader's left hand. Being able to see how much power the spell had, Baal's sister shouted out towards Baal.
No, Baal wouldn't be able to live that blast. Though, Baal was stubborn and charged forward as the invader released the ball of light. With a loud scream, Baal's sister held out her hand and covered Baal in a strange dark ball, causing him to vanish into nothingness. The ball of energy from the invader smashed into the castle, noticing Baal having vanished.
The man laughed hysterically before walking over towards his sister and picked her up by her collar. The man continued to laugh hysterically before speaking to her. "Mark today as the day Elysium has fallen, my queen," the man said before pressing his lips to hers.
---- The Wakusei Portals... Appearing with his scythe in hand, flat on his face, Baal finally came to. He lifted his head up to look around for a moment. Where was he? This was a foreign land that he had never seen before. Strangely, the skies were dark and covered in stars, but this wasn't the same night sky that he knew of from Elysium. Baal shuffled a bit, turning his head up to the skies to not see Ceres and Eris. Baal, out of frustration, punched the ground a couple times. "This can't be real! No! Elysium can't fall like this! God damnit!"
The corner of his lip curled a bit. "I did have someone back home. But it doesn't matter," he said as he turned back to look up at the sky. "I can't go home," he said. He doesn't know how to get back to Elysium. He had been working to find a way back to Elysium, as he had nothing anchoring him to this world. However, his heart-strings have been pulled recently. "So for the last 100 years, I've been here," he said forcing a smile upon his lips.
"Don't get me wrong, this place is beautiful and I've grown to really like some of the people here," he said as he turned his head towards Tyr to notice a large bouquet of flowers in her hand. Something about this woman holding a bouquet of the natural mountain flowers caused his heart to skip a beat for a moment. Baal cleared his throat and looked back up to the sky. "But home is still home, right?"
Tyriel sighed as Baal fell silent. She had pried a little far into his life.. Which he had no obligation to answer her. She glanced down to see his fist tighten. It must hurt him so much to be away from everyone. She bit her lip and felt her heart break for him... His answer only made it worse. She knew what he was hiding back and she wanted to cry for him but just closed her eyes. She cupped her hand over his balled up fist. She knew it was impossible to make everything completely better, but she would try.
" I believe Home is where you decide to place your heart. " she said as she held out a hand full of flowers to be carried off by the wind that rolled past her " You can always move that heart, but home will always follow it. " She knew this well, as she had lived all over Fiore, taking in it's knowledge. She had found a new home here in Infinity Hydra.
Tyriel sat up and turned her head to face the man. She promised herself to show him that Earth wasn't so bad. Even if he had been forced to come here. She stood up and laid out her hands palm up for him to grab. " Come on, I have something more to show you." She said with a bright smile.
