A figure moved through the sand filled landscape as wind continually blew the sand up and around it. They had their face wrapped up in cloth to make sure that the sand would not get in their face, only leaving a small slit for their eyes to see out of. Nothing was near them for miles but it continued to trek through the sand until it finally was out of the sandstorm.
A merchant carrier vehicle had found its way out of the sandstorm not too long before the wrapped up figure made its way through also. "Whew.." A man wiped his brow with his arm. "I really didn't think we would make it through that sandstorm that time, Peb." A voice yelled back at the driver of the vehicle. "Don't jinx it, Marcito!" Peb moved up from the back of the cart to look closer at his companion. "I just made sure we didn't lose anything in that storm but that doesn't mean you should jinx us if we get caught in another one, idiot!" Marcito chuckled nervously and continued to steer them through the desert.
Peb then noticed a figure behind them in one of the rear view mirrors on the carrier vehicle. He was confused and felt a feeling of dread upon seeing the figure. "Marcito, you didn't see anyone inside of the sandstorm walking while we were there, right? There is someone or something behind us." Peb spoke as he continued to look back at the figure. Marcito looked into the rear view mirror also and saw the figure. "I did not. I will just speed up if anything. It's not like it can catch up to us. Is weird to see someone just walking through a sandstorm though."
Marcito turned his view back to look in front of him and suddenly slammed onto the breaks so that they stopped just before hitting someone in the sand.
