Strange Vulcans (Part1) [Mission/Jermin and Soleice]

Rex spotted a job on the Job request board and decided to take action. He read through the details on the poster. It says that "Signs of vulcans have appeared in the Spooky Forest! These vulcans are seem to be stealing food from the nearby villages. Stop them before they hurt someone! If you take the job you must bring another mage with you." He then quickly realized that the vulcan must be destroyed or else the villagers who lives nearby will eventually suffer from hunger, so he looked around the guild hall searching for someone who is suitable for this great and heroic job but he just couldn't find one cause most of his guild members are still away on their sweet vacations. So then Rex decided to take this mission on by himself, however the missions says that needs two mages in order to complete this job. So Rex knew someone who could help him with this job, a friend that he have fought in the arena before and a member of Sabertooth.

Rex quickly changed his clothes into a new and clean one so it doesn't smells and so Rex rushed towards the Sabertooth guild and walked in to search for Hirana the girl that Rex once fought in a friendly match over in the arena.

Hirana was bored. She wandered around the guild hall pondering whether she should go outside to look for more stuff to do. She decided to do just that. Putting her hand on the door handle, she slowly pushed out. Suddenly, the door banged open in her direction and smashed her in the face, then eventually into the wall. Her arms were sprawled out and she felt like she had a major headache.

".......... ouch........." she whispered.

She saw bright stars circling her head. Looking up, she saw Rex standing over her with a triumphant pose. She got up, fueled with anger, she slapped him across the face.

"That actually hurt you idiot." said Hirana.

She sighed, then went to get some ice from the guild's bar. She had difficulty walking, this was most definitely going to slow her down for the rest of the day. She realized that the guild had no ice as soon as she reached her hand inside the ice box. Slowly slumping down, she started crying a little bit because of the pain. A moment later, refusing to show her weak side, she stood up and wiped the tears from her face.

"What is it Rex?" said Hirana. She approached him and waited for his request.

After arriving at Sabertooth's Guild, Rex pushed the door opened and then heard a loud "BANG" sound when he pushed the door. He then realized that it was actually Hirana that got hit by the door and quickly apologized "Ooopps sorry Hirana, didn't see you there."

Then she slapped Rex across the face after getting hit by the door, "That actually hurt you idiot." said Hirana in an angry tone.

Then Hinara went towards the guild bar to get some ice, after realizing there was no ice left in guild's bar she started crying a bit but soon after she stopped crying and ask what Rex wanted.

Rex then stood up and said to Hirana, "I need your help Hirana since all my members are away and you are best suited for this job... Oh plus you are a dear friend that I know is from Sabertooth." So Rex briefed her about the mission / job they're about to go on.

"Signs of vulcans have appeared in the Spooky Forest! These vulcans are seem to be stealing food from the nearby villages. Stop them before they hurt someone! If you take the job you must bring another mage with you."

After briefing the details about the mission to Hirana, Rex waited for Hirana to accept the mission and then started getting ready to go.

Hirana listened to Rex's plea. She, being as bored as she was, agreed. She ran up to the guild vault, and grabbed all the equipment that she thought she would need. Then picking up her handbag, she scurried down to the main entrance.

"So Rex, where are we going?" asked Hirana. She then briefly remembered that it was the Spooky Forest.

After listening to Rex's reply, they headed out. Along the way, Hirana saw many cute dresses and accessories that she wanted to buy. She stopped at almost every single shop along the way. It took about thirty minutes before Rex could pull her away from the shops and accomplish the task of leaving the village. Along the way, Hirana tried to imagine what challenges awaited her. She was sure that if Rex and her couldn't stop the vultures, the villagers would be tormented until the next pair of worthy saviors came along. Hirana quickly dismissed the thought, she had a S-Rank with her. Whats the worst that could happen?

Walking at a faster pace, Hirana and Rex entered the Spooky Forest.

After giving the details about the mission, Hirana accepted to join on this mission and so they headed off. On the way out of the town, Hirana managed to buy almost everything she wanted but was stopped by Rex somehow and so they finally arrived and entered the Spooky Forest.They then started their mission, searching through the woods for signs of Vulcans and tracking them with Rex's dragon nose that allows him to smell at a more wider range and follow the smell towards them. But somehow they searched almost half of the entire spooky weird looking forest and still could not find any trails of Vulcans or any villages close by screaming for help.

So Rex decided to take a break for Hirana to catch some breath and rest before they move on again. Suddenly while Rex and Hirana were resting, loud sounds of foot steps can be heard by both Rex and Hirana, so they immediately took action and Rex followed those loud noises and quickly saw ten Vulcans walking in a gang towards that close by village which the villagers are all living in peace and weren't notified by the Vulcans that are headed their way. Rex got fired up cause the Vulcans are gonna hurt the villagers that are living in peace and so Rex will protect them with all his power. "Luckily all of em are weak monsters, i can crush them all in one hit but i gotta save some for Hirana, fine I'll play with them slowly like 1 on 1 so i can save some for Hirana." said Rex with joy.

Rex then spotted one of them falling behind the line and used that as an opportunity to separate them up, because he had to go 1 on 1 so that he could save some for Hirana, so he immediately stopped in front that vulcan falling behind and quickly casted a powerful B rank spell that surely will destroy the vulcan in one hit. "POISON DRAGON'S ROAR"

ooc - Since all the monsters are weak, we won't need to roll on the monster dice.

With that one perfect one hit, it sent the vulcan flying 10 feet up in the air. The vulcan looked badly hurt from that attack and stayed down.

Hirana spotted the vulcans running in a flock towards a village of unsuspecting civilians. Her anger immediately flared up. She positioned herself and muttered: "Memory-Make: Arclight Arrow." A golden bow started to materialize in her hand. She drew the string back, a arrow of pure light energy appeared. She aimed it at the direction where most of the vulcans flocked. Inhaling the exhaling deeply, she released the string.

'Damage Dice' :

The vulcans moved away at the last second. The arrow glided straight through a crack within the vulcan ranks. With that done, they were now alerted of Rex and Hirana's presence. They turned around and started to fly towards Hirana. Hirana analyzed the situation, then ran into the forest as if to divide up the vulcan ranks. Some immediately flew towards Rex, some followed in pursuit of Hirana. She ran and climbed up a tree, silently waiting for the right moment.

"Sigh, Rex, I hope you are okay." she muttered.

Setting up her trap, Hirana began to feel bad for what was about to happen to the vulcans. They flew closer now, almost arriving at the scene of her trap. Hirana raised her hand, her fingers crackled with dark energy.

"Memory-Make: Dark Explosion" she yelled.

Dark balls of pure darkness rose from the ground, and positioned themselves within the vulcan ranks. Then, a split second later, they exploded. The vulcans fell everywhere. The sky was covered with feathers. Hirana smiled.

Hirana missed, the vulcans that fell, immediately got back on their feet. Realizing her trap, they flew towards her.

After Rex impressively defeated one of the ten vulcans, Rex got extremely excited because the battle was just getting started and he made this a training practice for him to get his accuracy and stamina up to speed. Then suddenly a loud battle was going on nearby the village. Rex knew from the moment that Hirana has gotten herself into battle, so Rex was then alerted by that loud battling sound. Rex didn't waste anytime and hurried towards the direction where the battle sound came from but then Rex saw two big vulcans flying towards Rex and so Rex tried to avoid them by playing tom and jerry catch. But however he failed and the Vulcans followed him, so the battle began between Rex and the Vulcans. Rex knew that this wasn't good because two on one is pretty unfair. Then quickly the two tall Vulcans dropped from the sky and Rex immediately casted a spell strong enough to defeat them both at once if hit. "Dragon Slayer's Secret Art : Venom Flame Horn" said Rex as he didn't waste anytime to play with them because he started feeling that Hirana is in trouble fighting somehow and so he used this Rank A spell to end the battle quickly.

'Damage Dice' :

Unfortunately the Vulcan shifted to a side before Rex's attack could hit them. Rex got exhausted due to using too much Magic Power for those powerful Spells he has been throwing all day. Then quickly one of the Vulcan charges it's fist towards Rex and attacked him.

'Block Dice' :

Unfortunately Rex was still incapable of doing anything because he was out of breath and am too exhausted to carry on. He got hit by the Vulcan's fist pretty badly in the stomach, Rex's felt pain and tiredness at the same time, all he could do now is lay on the ground and rest while the Vulcan stayed back to wait for another assault.

About 10 Vulcans flew at Hirana. In a desperate attempt to survive, Hirana activated afterimage and proceeded to jump off the tree. The vulcans flew straight at the hologram and through it. She decided that it was time to end it. Attempting a spell that she had never used before, Hirana placed her fingers to her temples. A visualized brain wave appeared above her head, and darkness spread out as if the world were being corrupt with it. "Memory-Make: A Night of Falling Stars!" yelled Hirana. 10 Beams of pure light energy shot outwards towards the Vulcans that were now outlined with yellow to identify them as a target for the energy. The ten beams rapidly descended the air and shot down towards the now confused Vulcans.

'Damage Dice' :

Seven beams of pure energy decimated seven vulcans. The other three ran behind the corpse of the dead vulcans. The three remaining beams pierced through the sky but did not penetrate the vulcan corpses, thus, the three vulcans were alive. Gritting her teeth, Hirana ran off towards her partner Jermin, so that she could fortify a more strategic position in where they could use a combined attack to finish off the rest of the vulcans, or so she hoped. The puddles of water splashed around silently as Hirana's footsteps hovered over them. "I really hope Rex is okay." thought Hirana. She had her worries, but she also had faith. There was no way that a S-Ranked mage would lose to a bunch of mediocre and amateur monsters. Neither of them could.

Rex stayed down after that those powerful hit that the vulcans gave and so he took the advantages to rest on the ground while the vulcans waited patiently to inspect whether that Rex was dead or not. Rex put up a good show by not moving and breathing slowly so that the vulcans won't suspect that he is still alive. The two vulcans stood there for a long time which they then slowly got happy. They then started celebrated their victory by yelling out loud "Gaarr, Goohoo, Goot, Goot" Which Rex didn't really know what they were talking about.

Then two gigantic vulcans confirmed quickly that Rex isn't alive anymore and they then knew that Rex was really dead and so they started walking away. Rex then waited, waited for them to get away, away as far as they can, about a few meters wide. And immediately Rex did a tricky move and got up standing on the ground. The two vulcans was shocked and was frozen. Rex then took this opportunity to cast another spell which will knock those two off flying. "FIRE IN THE HOLE" shouted Rex and quickly he said "POISON DRAGON ROAR!!!" as he casted the spell and sending them towards those two vulcans

'Damage Dice' :

One of the vulcans dodge left and another one dodged right. "I can't believe it, I missed!" uttered Rex as he got pretty angry. Then Rex started calming down "uhh don't worry, I've still got plenty more power to casts about a 3-4 more spells since I've long rested on the ground while they were celebrating." said Rex in his mind.
