History/Story
History:
After hours of extreme pain, screaming and tears all went silent in the dark room. A single candle flickered until it's flame was extinguished and the small, weak cry of a child echoed in the wooden room. After being washed and wrapped in a towel a woman in white handed a mother her child. Danni had given birth to Mashyuu.
Named after his Father, Mashyuu had what anyone would expect a child of less than a year old to have, a loving mother, a place to stay safe and enough food to seemingly last a life time. Danni, Mashyuu's mother was a tall woman who had studied magic years before with her husband and together the two had developed a strong form of Earth Magic that could do as little as create a staff to amazing feats like creating life! Danni, even after giving birth had remained an attractive woman with her dirty blonde hair reaching her shoulders and having a curvy body that gained her more attention than her husband was comfortable with...
Even so, the parents loved their son more than even their magic and had given up the casting of spells when Mashyuu was born. Both retired and settled on living normal lives to raise their child in safety. But when Mashyuu turned three years old tragedy struck. His father had been killed by a Wizard from the families past, Orion... Mashyuu's father's body had been left of the families doorstep as a reminder that Orion was out there, watching and waiting for the mother and child.
This event Prompted Danni to teach her child the art of Magic in case she herself could not be there to teach Mashyuu. She gathered up only what she thought the two would need to survive on the road, buried her husband and set out on the road with Mashyuu in toe. Together the two traveled and learned on the wild streets, forests and general paths of the land. In seemingly no time, five years had passed with the two traveling all over the world. Mashyuu had started to develop a real skill for the art of Magic, no longer only able to subtly shift the earth around him, he had developed a sort of Tremor sense and could feel those who walked around him in a small area of effect.
The young boy took this to heart and let it spur him on to continue learning Magic, the fist real spell he mastered was the Earth Staff, a basic spell that allowed him to always be armed however he could only maintain the effects of the Staff for a short time. Still the fact that he had been coming along made his mother proud of her son. Over the course of their travels the two had developed more than the bond a mother and son would, the two had become best friends and did nearly everything together as they traveled and enjoyed the world.
However the fun would soon come to an end for Mashyuu and Dani. On Mashyuu's tenth birthday while leaving a small farming village, the sound of shrill cries filled the air. Danni turned on her heels and placed Mashyuu behind her to defend the child. A loud rumble shook the ground as a group of horses raced through the village, twelve riders, all baring swords and heavy armor raced through the village, killing anyone who dared do anything other than lay down in fear, and even then some of the villagers were trampled to death.
Danni and Mashyuu watched in horror for a moment until a family, mother, father and three children, managed to break away from the village and came to Danni seeking help. Off in the distance the riders had came out of the village and were speeding towards the family and the mages.
Confident in his developing powers as a mage, Mashyuu stepped in front of his mother to try and confront the bandits, however Danni gripped the boy by the back of his green shirt and placed him with the other children. With a lifting of her hand and closure of her fingers, making a fist, four solid stone walls sprang from the ground and trapped the children inside a prison like structure along with the family of villagers.
Danni stepped forward, summoning up a set of light armor of dirt and a pillar of stone in the shape of a war hammer. Furiously she battled the twelve men but in the end her magic had run out and a sword pierced her heart, killing her on the spot, Mashyuu had watched in horror as his mother was killed, leaving him alone in the world.
After Danni's death, the bandits headed out of town, deciding it wasn't worth waiting for the walls to come down to kill the villagers and Mashyuu... After hours of working at the wall, Mashyuu eventually broke a single wall apart by turning it into a small mist of stone and dirt. The Weakened boy crawled over to his mother and cried for nearly a day...
Eventually he managed to take his mother's jacket and steadied himself, remembering the reason they traveled was to stay away from Orion and enjoy life. Wanting to keep that idea alive as long as possible Mashyuu spent the next eight years learning and developing his own form of the Earth Manipulation Magic by reading books and practicing with trial and error. During this time he also found a love of music and spent all his earnings doing odd jobs to buy a music playing device... By the time he was 18 Mashyuu had developed a fairly competent form of Magic all based off what he had seen his mother and father do.
For all his travels he eventually found himself standing inside the bar of Sabertooth's guild and applying to be a mage there. He figured that in the guild he could learn more about magic and have a family that would be able to stay alive and maybe help him should Orion ever find the young man. After joining the guild he headed out to Magnolia to complete his first real job as a Sabertooth Mage, and begin taking the next steps on his path to becoming a powerful Wizard.
RP Sample: Magnolia was one of the biggest towns Mashyuu had ever visited in his life. And surprisingly it seemed like one of the happiest towns as well. The sound of laughter and joy filled the air, the smell of fresh food wafted by the Sabertooth Mage and the sun was only now starting to rise over the horizon of the city. Slowly the young Mashyuu raised his left hand, palm out to shield his eyes while he hefted his small bag of basic camping supplies over his shoulder...
After a few minutes of walking around aimlessly Mashyuu found a wooden bench near the front of the city and sat down, setting his grey sack down next to him. A small bead of sweat rolled down his forehead, and dripped onto the blue leg of his pants. His large, black gloved hand reached into his brown jacket pocket and pulled a note from it, the flyer for the job. Carefully he scanned the letter and smiled to himself, this was the town he was supposed to meet another Mage to complete the job to help a man repair his home...
