So I have been noticing people wanting to bump their pages after a day or so of it going unnoticed or even reposting on the various apps after only a few days. I feel as though this is wrong, of course I better explain why I think so.
The mods themselves have much more responsibilities then grading apps just in case you did not know. The most clear example I can see is zack working on updating the lineages to make them more clear and posting in patches so everyone know. Of course the mod team have their own responsibilities to make this site better which involves work. And did I mention the mods also have lives? Yeah they do, and they don't usually forget the apps since, I assume, they watch the topics they grade. And finally they want to roleplay on this site too and not continuously grade apps for long periods of time.
Now this is not a hate rant towards some of you impatient people(If it comes across as such then my apologies, but it's not). I am asking you to be patient with the mods that grade your apps. Now I know, apps can go unnoticed for awhile it seems but you have to understand with apps like magic, well that's complicated. Especially those with higher rank magics, it means their is more to go over since spells and abilities got to be naturally more powerful but cannot be overpowered, and its up to the mod to make it not overpowered.
So my suggestion? Have a waiting time set for yourself. With magic apps(as it seems it is the most wanted app as I can understand) give the mod that is responsible to grade your magic a few days to start and make edits in between. If it takes longer then a few days, then PM the mod in charge with grading your app asking them NICELY if they still remember they need to grade your app. If your magic has not been touched for a week and the mod has not replied at all to your NICE pm, then please ask another mod if they know about why the mod in charge of your app has been gone from it, or re-post your app on the approval thread(after asking). This I base off my own experience in waiting and I think this is respectful to the mod team.
As for the other apps this varies, as I know character apps should only take a day or two to approve(Since by my knowledge its just to make sure it's 500 words and that it makes sense), and should not require a long wait time. However, please pm the mod in charge of your app NICELY if it goes untouched for a couple days.
With the weapons/armor/items apps I suggest you wait a day or two and ask, although honestly I do not know about how long it takes for these apps to be graded so please ask your mod NICELY if you feel its taking too long(if its very simple then wait a day or two, if its much more complicated then give your mod more time).
Again, I am not getting mad at impatient people but I ask them to be understanding of the mods and how long it takes to go through apps. If your a impatient person, then please follow my suggestions above, if you want to wait longer that's fine, but please keep my suggestions in mind as this would be of great help to the mods(At least I believe so).
(And if you wonder why I wrote the word NICE in caps, it seems people can forget just because they are on the internet they can be horrible people. Or in other words, how would like this in your PM as a mod?
"Hey! What is taking so long with my app?! Honestly your taking way too long to grade it. I wonder why your a mod in the first place if your slow at grading apps!")
