Infinity Hydra's Halloween Event!

The night life was so lovely this eve. People were out, dressing out as little creatures that exist, but they pretend they don’t. It was so lovely. He had dropped his casual look, and went for a nice formal attire, with a hat included.  He even went so far as to put some make up to cover some of his tattoos. His eyes were in a book as usual as he awaited another to approach him, though he wouldn’t have to wait long as the sound of metal clinking vibrated his ear drums.

He glanced up from his book as his eyes to see the young Guild master. He smiled at him for a moment before his eyes went back to his book. Truthfully, he knew he’d be coming already. So before he’d be able to even talk, Kiku reached below the bar and pulled out a small bottle of Sake that balanced perfectly on a serving platter that those within Midi seemed to prefer drinking on. Though, he wasn’t sure if the younger male preferred it that way. ”Yes yes. The usual. Warm as you folk like it” He said before setting it down right before the man.

His eyes still skimmed over the pages of the book before speaking a bit. ”So I went ahead and arranged the entertain Sir. A violinist by the name of Elyx said he’d come play for us. I personally have my doubts he’ll show, but you never know.” Kiku said before he closed his book, along with smiling. ”So what do you and Mistress Sayrn have in store for the evening? Or perhaps the pervert librarian I should question?”

Appearance:

”Hmm…I’m still not sure that’s where it should go, but still can’t seem to find a better spot.” Eyeing the skull from below Rohma huffed: who knew decorating could be such a pain? ”I suppose this’ll do though. High enough so the drunkards can’t get it, but visible so it doesn’t lose complete ambiance. Ah well, at least it’s still emitting that weird glow.” Attached to the wall hung a canine skull, its jaw somewhat open to display the beautiful set of fangs, some of them glistening from a mild polishing job though she’d avoided doing the whole thing: it would’ve stolen from the creepy factor. Designs had been etched into the bone however, black lines creating a variety of geometric shapes, but the true fun lay in when one could see it out of the corner of their eye and swear that the black recesses of the eye sockets occasionally gained pupils as if still inhabited by its prior soul…

Deciding to leave things well enough alone for now the raven haired woman readjusted collar around her neck. A mixture of leather and stretchable materials hugged her form, the zipper not quite pulled up all the way more for ventilation than anything: she hadn’t quite realized how warm the damned outfit could be at times. The slightly clawed gloves and cat-eared helmet required some searching, but at the very least Rohma topped the outfit off with a pair of older goggles, shining them up for the evening and harassing a friend to borrow their whip – and after wards teasing them for owning one in the first place. In the end she might’ve been missing a tail, but Rohma wasn’t just any old cat woman: she was a Cat Burglar. ’Or a manx,’ she added, rolling her eyes as the backup for drunkards and idiots cropped up.

’At least if anyone tries to take anything it’s an easy matter of taking it back.’

"I-I don't know. . . M-Maybe. . . it'll be alright? Th-This is appropriate for my new job. . ."

With a tense form and stiff muscles, a figure hesitantly whispered to themselves as they twist and turn in the mirror before them. The very costume (a yukata) that the young woman happened upon in a lovely store in Magnolia Town was beautiful and intricately designed. It hugged the figure in a comfortable enough fashion while easing her nerves in the fact that nothing was revealing about the attire, but was a tad troubling to walk in regarding the shoes. A lump sliding down her throat, Shu gently trapped strands of her soft black hair in between two pale fingers - her violet eyes observing their current state with care.

She had been maturing by the day - growing out of the stage of life she had grown oh-so used to into something peculiar - and she didn't even realize it. With an almost sad smile while turning to fully observe herself in the mirror, Shu sighed softly with a crease of her brows. So much had changed in what seemed like so little time, and she nearly missed it all in the chaos. The young woman was blossoming into something unfamiliar to her, and the very individual in the mirror was someone she barely recognized. Yet despite it all it was. . . welcoming. The way her eyelashes cascaded against one another when she blinked, how the shape of her face matured, how her hair had shifted from a once messy and unkempt state to a neat length. . .

"I'm really growing up. . ."

With a sigh, Shu proceeded to decorate her hair into a bun - albeit a tad messily - while adding the finishing touches of pink flowers neatly placed on the left side of the head. Clapping her hands with a bow of her head, the young mage breathed in and out before simply walking out of the place she now deemed her home without the very shoes that adorned the costume. She still carried some of her old attributes, and preferred to serve those in the night away in comfort. The traditional white socks that she bore would help do just that.

It didn't take too long for her to reach the place where she would work the night, and saw that the food had been set out neatly. Of course, it was fading rather quickly from the amount of guests and members currently present, so she needed to keep special watch on the tables for food and drinks. Keeping a careful pace to get to the bar, she hoped that her boss - Kiku - wasn't too surprised about the sudden change in her attire. There was another man sitting at the stools at the tables with an unfamiliar appearance, but a sword attached to the waist. It was then that with a knowing smile, Shu spoke up softly as she reached the area with a bow of her head to both men present.

"Good evening, gentleman. I hope that everything is proving well for this spooky evening!"

Happy Halloween!:

"We're here, miss." The cabbie announced as the vehicle slowed to a halt in front of an impressive castle with a refreshingly oriental aesthetic to it.

Rather, the winding path that led up to it.

The castle itself seemed to be a lot further up, requiring quite the walk. It seemed to her that whoever had designed the place wanted to play mind games. Either that or he was one of those fitness nuts. Knowing Ardere, it was probably a bit of both.

"Miss?"

The somewhat impatient voice of the cabbie knocked Valerie out of her musings and back into the situation at hand. She turned her head to face him, the action causing the tiny little silver bells woven into her wig to jingle softly as she did so. With a flourish of her glove clad hands, the girl then proceeded to make a bunch of jewels along with a playing card to appear from thin air and plop into her waiting palm.

If the driver's eye roll was anything to go by, he was not impressed in the slightest by any of it.

"Have a good Halloween!"

Valerie's smile was nothing but sweetness as she bid him farewell with a polite tip of her hat.

The girl did so love wearing hats. Her current one was rather spiffy, all black in color with dark blue accents. It went quite well with the whole magical Mad Hatter ensemble she had donned especially for the Halloween party. Her naturally pretty lilac hair had been hidden away under a wig of long, silky strands that came in a shade of blue so pale it nearly verged on white. It was an added bonus that there were tiny bells intricately woven into the locks, making her sound rather like a wind chime with every step she took.

Annoyance at the long mountain path momentarily forgotten, Valerie looked on as the car started driving away. Save for the pleasant smile still lingering on her lips, her expression gave no insight as to what she was thinking.

"What the-"

The rest of his words were swallowed up as the cloud of glitter that had suddenly erupted from the little souvenir left by Valerie caused him to start coughing.

Happy Halloween.

The smile that had been lingering on her lips then bloomed into a wicked grin as she turned on her heel and began to skip her way up the path. It was beginning to look like a fun evening in her opinion - and she hadn't even arrived at the party yet.

Though her initial gripe about having to walk had seemed like she found it to be a terrible issue, she didn't actually have any problems with it and arrived at the doors in next to no time.

"Ardere Kasai, you are a sadist!" Valerie announced as she strode into the hall.

Almost immediately, more than a few pairs of eyes swung in her direction. It dawned on her then that it was a costume party - which meant everyone would be playing dress up. The thought had slipped her mind for a moment and she struggled to come to terms with it. Finding Ardere in the crowd, the only person she even remotely knew, was turning out to be a bit more complicated than she had assumed. Thankfully for her, she did have a photographic memory and soon spied him sitting at the bar.

"I almost didn't recognize you with... clothes on." She commented casually as if this was the most normal thing to say in the current situation.

Sighing a little, Valerie took a seat next to the guild master and crossed one leg over the other and drummed her fingers on her knee. Only then did she look at the other people. Apparently they had been having a conversation prior to her arrival onto the scene.

"Evening." The girl greeted them cordially with a tip of her hat.

Running his hand through his hair, he takes a deep breath in through his nose as he walked in through the guild hall.  His arms stayed next to his side as he seemed to hover through the door, the large doors opening before he touched them.  The man wore an outfit befitting an Opera Phantom, with a mask covering half of his face.  However, due to his hair being as long as it was (and his desire to not cut it), he didn't dye nor cut his hair to match.  Following behind him were barrels upon barrels of alcohol, seemingly floating behind.  They moved fluidly with little to no effort to pull them.  The barrels were stacked relatively high as they slide upon air behind him.

Slowly finding himself on the ground, Baal cleared his throat as he sat the barrels upon barrels of booze from his personal 'collection' upon the ground.  The door was closed behind him gently as the man finally adjusted his half-mask.  Clearing his throat upon making his grand entrance, he looked around.  Oh sweet release, this guild has a bar.  A big smile came across the Mystic's face as he quickly slid over to the bar and took a seat.  

Ever since he found himself on this world, he took a liking to this world's alcohol.  While it paled in comparison to the drink of his home-world, the booze here wasn't half bad.  He had a particular fondness for mead; nectar of the gods created from nectar of the land.  The drink of true warriors, even though people on his home-world would ridicule those that drank of honey than from barley.  That wasn't very important though.  What was important was putting a drink inside of his belly.

Raising his hand to get the barkeep's attention, he noticed the man was already deep inside of a book.  This piqued at Baal's curiosity.  Baal had a fondness for knowledge and, considering that books are a fountain of knowledge, figuring out what the barkeep was reading made Baal want to know what the book was about.  What subject matter was within those pages.  Oh!  Baal was bothered by this!  But Baal would rather have a drink.  It seemed that the barkeep's attention was taken away by the Guild Master.

Turning his head to look at the Fire King, Baal eyeballed the guy for a moment.  That was quite the costume he was wearing.  It was quite subtle.  Well, then again, Baal was considering going all-out and dressing like a kraken, using his Mystic Hands to control each of the tentacles.  Unfortunately, though, a costume like that would be extremely expensive and requires a lot of materials to make.  It would be cheaper to kill a kraken and preserve it for the sake of appearance.  However, that requires too much work and have the potential to actually die during the process.  

"Hey, Barkeep," the man said before he hooked a thumb at the numerous barrels of drink sitting off in the corner by the entrance.  "I brought some more stuff over there if you'd like.  Mostly wine and brew," Baal stated.  "But while I'm here, can I get some mead?"  He's going to be living with these people so being rude to them isn't a wise decision.  

"Nice place you got here, boss," Baal mentioned as he looked around the hall and tavern.  His voice had a gentle rasp and a deep tone.  He thrust his hand out towards Ardere.  "My name is Baal," the said, pronouncing his name with a hard A.  His attention was on Ardere for a moment before he saw a woman in tight black leather was around.  His eyes slowly turned towards that person for a moment, quickly turning his eyes back to Ard so he wasn't caught staring.  

And then something really pretty caught his attention.  A pretty girl in a yukata.  While Baal wasn't very versed at the clothing of this realm, he found this yukata quite charming indeed.  It was very modest but still showed the beauty of the woman without showing too much skin.  It is something that the nobility of his land would be proud of. Well, he would be speaking to Ardere if his attention wasn't taken away by the beauty that entered wearing black and blue.  Turning his head towards the Bartender.  "About that mead.."

Wolfe was finally getting himself settled near the guildhall for Infinty Hydra. It had taken some time for him to get all his stuff from black Rose's island here, and he hadn't even had the time to put half his stuff back together yet. However, tonight would have to wait as he was going to attend the Halloween event. This would be his first time in the guildhall, so it should be fun. He made a few fun knack devices for the party of they wanted to use them, including one that made holograms of different monsters around the room.


Wolfe put on his costume and made his way to the guildhall and was very quite as he made it past the main doors and into the main hall. He found a place near the back of the guildhall as he was brand new and wasn't sure who to talk to yet and was sure someone would eventually make their way over to him. He wasn't the type to shy off, but he had just left black rose recently and he had been the outcast in the guild so a part of him wasn't used to interacting with large guild groups yet.

Costume:

No it would look ridiculous to go to visit a guild for the first time and dress up like I was trying to make a good impression. This was the impression Nao had on how he tried to meet guilds for the first time. Though Nao didn’t really like any kind of guild, and if pressured he’d probably end up in an independent one, he thought he could act like he was giving a damn about them. It was especially correct when he had been invited by one of the members he had previously encountered beforehand. He didn’t really want to mess up the opportunity to make friends and get to know other mages out there, so instead he donned a simple white robe this time (albeit he had hidden away a tail and eats somewhere in the robe just in case he wanted to take part).

Nao also began to prepare some baked goods to take to the party. If he was going to bring anything too spoopy then he had to make sure it was something kinda scary… like eyeballs. Losing his eyesight was scary to him so why not to others? He decided to make donuts, fill them with buttercream and decorate them to look like eyeballs. He may have used a ton of icing and his food bill was going to be ridiculous. But it would be all worth it if it meant impressing a few people here and there.

Somehow getting a little lost a long the way, the guildless mage eventually found his way to the guild headquarters. He felt a little nervous, and a small bit shaky for some reason. But he had made a promise that he’d come. He also figured that sometimes it would be best to actually get a chance of being able to talk to people without having to analyse them from the distance before going over and talking to people. He also had to make a promise to himself not to use his magic and snoop on what other people were doing.

He sighed softly and began to walk into the Headquarters, feeling in awe as it opened up to a bunch of guild members, a tavern and just a butt tonne of decorations. He had never seen such preparation go into anything. He didn’t quite know the tunes either or anyone here at all. But he figured maybe it would be best to go put the food down on the table and get a drink.

Nao walked over to the table, eyeing up all the other foods ranging from savoury to sweet. He figured it would be best to put his donuts in the sweet section, placing the tray carefully and taking off the cloth to reveal these large donuts in the shape of eyes and oozing with buttercream. He also placed some crisps (author note: sorry not sorry) and an assortment of other snacks in the right places and pondered.

Feeling satisfied, Nao would walk over to the bar to go and order a drink, not recognising anyone here yet (including the lady who invited him since she usually wore a giant red hat). But he figured that being near people might give him the chance to introduce himself to one or two people. At least to the bartender working on the bar at the time.

”Lets see… I’ll just have a honeyed whiskey on the rocks please?” he would ask for something that was a little bit sweet, a little bit strong and a whole load of ice involved so that it would dissolve into the alcohol. He thanked the bartender and turned around, taking a tiny sip as he tried to find anyone he recognised.

Things had been going swimmingly one could say as Rohma stuck to the edges of the party, mingling with a few of the other guests and guildmates, though only for small spurts at a time. A lot of her prep had required a spot of secrecy to purrfect if mostly to avoid revealing how things worked. ’I should only have one final little holiday trap to place and then I think I’ll be done,’ a small smile played across her lips, ivories momentarily visible through luscious dark red lipstick. Someone met her at the table, the person probably from the nearby mountain village she hazarded a guess, pretty sure she’d seen the man there before – and was hardly surprised by the fellow’s Viking costume. All the same the leather-clad woman smiled and lightly flirted, casually touching the largest of the candy bowls before stealing a sweet treat for herself.

Depositing the wrapper into the nearby trashcan she smirked internally. Anytime someone would go for one of the wrapped chocolates inside the feeling of a ghostly hand would clamp down on one of their shoulders, though they’d see nothing no matter how much they turned around. It wasn’t quite as hilarious as the ghastly vision of the malevolent specter one would see if they washed their hands in the party floor’s restrooms, but sometimes it was the little things that mattered. Not everything came off as a creepy trick, the occasional visage of bats or a ghost floating above her doing as well, passed off as some simple visual effects that would last the night.

She enjoyed the two shows thus far, not quite sure she could match up to their prowess with her bag of tricks. If anything her “show” had already been spread around the room thanks to the various, light-hearted traps. As she walked towards the stage however she noted a few codes, Rohma deciding it was time to very well get this over with so perhaps she could properly mingle. Silently sidling up to the stage and slinking out to the middle she bowed before the audience, ”You’ll have to forgive me, my performance is a bit…scattered…but I think it’ll make itself known here and there throughout the night. In the meantime I would like to thank a few people for their help in this wonderful party, such as our guild leader: Ardere Kasai.” As she spoke his name the woman pulled something out from behind her, revealing a wallet she couldn’t have hidden on her person anywhere, revealing the ID inside to be non-other than their illustrious leader, a couple of faked pictures in the holders that unfolded – including one of a baby naked on a bear skin rug – a fireball before them implying exactly who it was.

”And of course we can’t forget others,” she continued, hiding it behind her back, the other hand mirroring the move and pulling out yet another. Opening it revealed a certain phantom’s ID, ”I noticed this fellow provided a few barrels of drink tonight, so let us give a round of applause for Sir Baal, shall we?” A few cheers went out no doubt as she smiled towards the man himself.

For the third time both hands went behind and this time each revealed yet another unique wallet, opening the items to reveal another pair of ID’s, Rohma’s smile remaining pleasant and “innocent” as she continued her thank you speech, ”And let us not forget our wonderful bartender for continuing to work during these festivities, as well as our guild’s top secretary who also put on a lovely show for us naught but a few minutes ago!” As the applause settled, some people perhaps chuckling she decided to near the end of her speech, ”As well we should thank them for their…monetary donations to the festivities.” The cat burglar blew a kiss towards the audience, the accompanying wink meant more for the four who’d find their borrowed items back even if a slight bit lighter in the process. Bowing, the lights dimmed until nothing could be seen on stage before a pair of eyes flashed open, the feline orbs filled with a glittering mischief before they fluttered closed and the returned lights revealed no Cat Woman in sight.

Wolfe watched as more people can into the guild hall and made their way around. Then shortly after he saw as the first person came on stage and then started showing off. This wasn't something Wolfe was looking forward too, but since he signed up for the event he had to do it. He decided it was time for him to get his stuff and Wolfe phase stepped from his spot to the main doors and out made his way outside.

Wolf then started turning into a bolt and darting back and forth from the small little place he was staying back to the spot in front of the door. Each time with some equipment in his hands. After a few trips he was done and he started to bring it right into the inside of the guildhall where he wasn't really being watched by anyone. He then started phase stepping from his spot to the corners of the room near the roof as he set up two about 3 foot tall Tesla-Coils from the two back corners. He then phase stepped to the spot just above the stage at the wall and attached another one just as the lights went out and was done before they came back on. He then picked up a few small machines and phase stepped to each corner of the room near the ceiling and attached a small machine to the wall. As he finished he took a large box looking machine and walked over to the corner and opened the top and it seemed to unfold as a flattop rose up and then all the sudden a few small screens came up that looked exactly like archive. Wolfe typed a few words in and then swiped the screens to the side and made a pulling upward motion and then a series of small flat holograms seemed to appear. He then started moving them around and then typing on each.

A moment later a female seemed to appear out of nowhere next to Wolfe.

RAINE:

He turned to her and spoke a few words and she faded as quick as she had appeared. Then about a minute later a bunch of famous monsters started to walk out from different shadows and corners in the room. Dracula, The Mummy, The Werewolf, and every other major monster, and then a bunch of ghost and witches and other ones started to walk around as well. They would stop and say hi to the people of the guild and even hold conversations with them. Wolfe was just waiting for his turn soon now as he messed with a few more screens in front of him.

Also, the monsters are all AI controlled, and each person may or may not interact with them as they want. You may control them and their speech as people intereact with them.)

There were certainly a lot of guests appearing here and there - everywhere! From the strangest of costumes to those most beautiful, the party was certainly becoming quite the success. Shu would certainly have to congratulate Ardere and Tyriel for their wonderful efforts in putting together such an event, for most people seemed to gather with smiles on their faces or comfortable dispositions. It was certainly a comforting sight to behold on the waitress' end as she softly smiled. It was environment's such as this one where she felt most at home, although the pang of familiarity ringing inside the depths of her mind dare not describe why. With a slight shake of her head to snap out of the momentary pain, the young woman regained the soft smile she bore moments ago - chuckling from the Guildmaster's comment on how he was not drunk enough yet.

"Well, please be careful nonetheless, sir. I don't wish for you or anyone here to fall ill."

Before she could induct any more words, a feminine voice bellowed out through the hall with a prompt purpose. The word used made Shu flinch slightly while her eyes widened in a form of shock, blinking multiple times as she processed the information. "A-A sadist?", she muttered to herself in a confused and innocent tone. She didn't have a clue as to what the word served as she was still learning much of what the world had to offer - her travels having stopped making such a goal all the more difficult to accomplish. Nevertheless, she let the woman before the ever-growing group speak her mind. Shu had to admit that she admired the woman's taste in her costume as the intricate design and beauty of the patterns caught her eye. There was so much to Vale's costume that was vibrant and bright, and when she greeted them all with a tip of her hat, Shu smiled with a bow.

"Good evening, miss. I hope everything is proving well for you on this night!"

It wasn't until then that yet another individual entered the doorway, causing the black haired woman's mouth to part slightly. More and more guests were just entering by the minute! There were barrels of what sounded like liquid brought inside with care, the individual appearing with a most dominant air. The height of the man caused the waitress to look up slightly by arching her neck, taking great care to keep the composure she had practiced herself in many a days. The man wore a white mask that covered a part of his face while his outfit was nothing short of extravagant - giving off the feeling that he was from a world in the past; or a different world altogether. Placing a pale hand over her chest to calm the wonder that was the heart, Shu smiled softly with a bow of her head at the man's comments and requests.

"Good evening, sir! I will personally see to it that the wine and brew that you brought will be taken care of. In the meantime, please make yourself comfortable."

She would have added that if there was anything any of them needed to ask her or Kiku, but she deduced that her words spoke for themselves. It was then that out of the corner of her eye that she nearly felt her entire form jump to find her friend there at the stool - Nao. With a happy giggle and a near overflowing amount of excitement, Shu made her way over to the young man quickly with a warm smile. She believed that he would not possibly make it on this night because he may have had a mission or other matter to attend to, yet here he was! Catching herself in her excitement, Shu assumed a stature of professionalism quickly and spoke softly to Nao with a bow of her head. She wasn't sure if he would recognize her or not behind the attire and the missing red hat that she used to always wear. . .

"Good evening, sir! I hope that all is well for you on this spooky evening. And by the way. . . thank you so very much for coming, Nao."

It was then that before Shu could say anymore words that a voice boomed through the room with utmost excitement and glory. It was indeed Tyriel with her witch costume in a most wondrous state, giving off a wonderful impression that she was indeed a representation of a Halloween idol. With an impressive display of smoke and magic, a defying show of gravity and spooky intentions, it was imminent that the waitress flinched slightly at the beautiful display of coloring and magic before it all ended promptly with a maniacal laugh that really set the Halloween mood in stone. It wasn't long before Ardere made his debut with an impressive performance - his moves swift and clean as he promptly performed with grace yet strict mannerisms. After that, more and more performances and congratulations were offered. Even if she herself was never thanked for her efforts on this night, the smiles of the people were more than enough.

It was time she supposed.

"W-Well, uh. . . Excuse me everyone!"

She emphasized her point by raising both of her index fingers, making her way onto the stage with a quivering sigh. Standing in front with a shy smile she gently observed the room before bowing, straightening herself up before speaking into the microphone. "Happy Halloween, everyone! Please, enjoy the night and what we - Infinity Hydra - have to offer for you today! If there's anything you need please don't hesitate to ask, and remember: Have fun on this spooky event and night!" Her words was all she had to offer for the crowd today, and that was enough even for the waitress of the night in all pure honesty. Jumping off the stage carefully, she returned to the place she considered the safe haven of the night - the bar.

Although, she needed to tend to the wine and brew Baal brought in the barrels.

More and more people flocked towards the bar and began ordering drinks. One of them, dressed in a charmingly ominous half mask, had even brought barrels of alcohol undoubtedly to make sure they didn't run out. Either they had come over to hang out with the guild master - who seemed to be rather fond of alcohol himself - or they not so secretly had drinking problems.

The latter option was beginning to seem more likely to her with the ever growing group at the bar.

For someone who absolutely loved to dress up as much as she did, it was certainly strange for Valerie to have never attended a costume party before. While others put on extravagant outfits for special events and occasions, it was pretty much routine for the quirky ReQuip mage. For Valerie, wearing a rooster suit was the equivalent of someone else deciding on a cute sweater and matching skirt for the day. Due to that very reason, it simply hadn't even occurred to her to seek out and attend such an event.

It also might have had something to do with the fact that she never did well in social settings being that she was particularly talented in the art of tactlessness and hardly ever got invited, but that was neither here nor there.

Torn between excitement and confusion, Valerie wasn't entirely sure whether she liked everyone else being dressed up as well. It felt disconcerting and a bit unreal. The sheer number of people all clad in some type of costume or another didn't exactly help matters either, though she was saved from having to look around much as all she needed was a single glance.

Ardere's comment about having a strange run in with pirates only served to make it seem all the more suspicious rather than clear up matters in Valerie's opinion - as if he had been stripping for pirates.

Sadly, she did not get to voice this fact as an extremely chipper voice called attention to the stage that had been set up.

Valerie turned her head to get a better look at which ever spectacle was about to unfold, the action causing the tiny silver bells woven into her hair to jingle softly before settling again. Her eyes settled on the person on stage; a pretty woman whose feminine curves were clad in a witch's dress with long, flowing sleeves. A pointy tipped hat completed the look, resting atop her purple curls. Valerie found that the look suited the woman quite well and had already begun to hope that the lady would do a witchy cackle or fly around on a broom. The hall grew quiet as the rest of the party-goers much like herself had paused their chatter to watch the show.

Tyriel put on an excellent performance and though Valerie was a bit sad about the lack of flying brooms, the floating pumpkins and maniacal laughter at the end had more than made up for it. It brought an excited smile to the girl's face as she joined the others in applause.

As guild master and  host, it made sense for Ardere to go next.

He wordlessly strode up to the stage and looked at everyone, an action that would have been far more impressive were it not for the fact that he had a bottle of strawberry milk he was sipping from.

Despite this, he commanded rapt attention from his peers as he drew his sword and began to swiftly and skillfully massacre pumpkins. Valerie didn't know what all this pumpkin mutilation was about. Sure, it was Halloween; but she had to wonder if that much mutilation was really called for. Perhaps it was an Infinity Hydra thing. Once he was done, he lit the pumpkin lanterns with his black flames, causing them to glow with an eerie light and cast a myriad of shadows across the stage.

Valerie joined in the applause once again as he finished up his display of skill and left, drinking strawberry milk. She had no clue what that was all about.

Next up was a woman dressed in a scandalously tight suit made of black leather, the zipper at the front having been pulled down enough to give a very good view of her feminine assets. The pointed feline ears adorning the headpiece she wore suggested that she was dressed up as some sort of cat lady. Valerie's brows furrowed thoughtfully as she watched the woman continue on with her performance. She seemed to take her time thanking people, the playful yet sincere words at odds with the mischievous skills she demonstrated. In other words, thievery.

As someone who far too often found herself in possession of items that didn't legally belong to her, Valerie could truly appreciate the cat lady's routine.

What came as a surprise was the next person that had gone up on stage - the cute and obviously very shy waitress. Valerie hadn't gotten to converse with the dark haired girl much, but from what she'd seen so far, the waitress was extremely polite. A belief that was further reinforced by the girl's words directed towards the audience.

When the man in the half mask went up on stage, Valerie half expected him to perform some feat that involved alcohol but instead was treated to a rather theatrical and dramatic song that went perfectly with his costume. It seemed to her that some of the costumes were helping to bring out the usually hidden talents and abilities of people. Perhaps clothes did make a man after all.

I guess I should go up there now.


Weaving through the crowd was no easy task and required all of her skill in elbowing to be put to the test, but the Mad Hatter finally made her way to the stage and hopped up on to it with ease. She turned to face her audience and rested her icy pupil less eyes on them for a few seconds, expression giving away nothing.

"Hello everyone. I'm Vale." She grinned at the sea of unfamiliar faces before her.

"I suppose I must begin by honoring the Halloween tradition and murdering a pumpkin - or is it simply a Hydra thing?"

At her words, she was handed a rather large and heavy pumpkin which she immediately set down in front of her - before it could topple her over backwards. It was abnormally large and would probably require some heavy weaponry. Taking her hat from its place atop her hair, she reached a glove clad hand inside it and searched around for a few moments, brows furrowing in concentration.

Without warning, she pulled out a chainsaw which immediately whirred to life with a menacingly metallic purr.

"Ta- dah~"

Valerie placed her hat back on her head and waved the chainsaw around in a way that was definitely not safe, eliciting a few gasps from her audience that more than likely thought she was nuts. She brought it down towards the pumpkin in a comical parody of Ardere's swordplay.

"Just kidding."

It seemed that the pumpkin was to live for a while longer.

Mere moments before the chainsaw dug into it, Valerie stopped and then proceeded to nonchalantly toss the still whirring chainsaw backwards over her shoulder. This time, a few people in the audience did scream. However, all their worry was for naught as the chainsaw vanished before it could do any harm.

"Okay then, lets try some magic."

The ReQuip mage placed her fingers on the brim of her hat and bowed deeply, taking it off with a flourish and releasing a horde of playing cards that fluttered and danced throughout the hall as if they were a flock of birds. Glinting faintly silver as the light caught them, they fluttered around for a few moments more before suddenly exploding into clouds of glitter dust.

"Happy Halloween, everyone! Stay sparkly."

With a drink firmly grasped in hand, Nao was now able to find a way to socialise with people. It wasn’t something that he was so used to, and Shu had tried to make him more open in talking to people. But he wasn’t so sure how to actually walk up to random guild members and say hello to them even though he wasn’t even in the guild. Maybe he could try soon and find someone who wasn’t really doing anything in the event and maybe he would be able to go ahead and just socialise with them. Oh man where was that woman in the big hat at this time? He couldn’t find that anywhere in this room and it was amazing. What he hadn’t checked was along the bar was a young lady in a yukata greeting all the guests at the bar.

Eventually she would reach the novice mage. His eyes would take a while to work out who was actually talking to him until he heard the familiar soft voice that Shu had and his eyes opened wide. She was actually here and she was in something… completely unexpected to him. Not having a giant hat was really throwing him off a little bit this time around. All he could do was try and soften his gaze and make a pleasant smile to the woman who was greeting him. He bowed back to her in greetings while smiling, his face a little tinted red.

”N-no problem Shu! You invited me here after everything and I thought it would be best to arrive and learn more about this guild you’re in. Maybe I’ll be able to make some friends and maybe umm… ally to the guild? Not that I want to be in a guild or anything!” He was adamant about staying out of the guilds and away from the fingers of the magic council.

His conversation was cut short when a loud booming voice directed everyone’s attention to one of the hosts for the evening. She was calling for the contestants to arrive at the stage, and with that he watched Shu leave. He wasn’t going to really go from the bar to walk closer to the stage. Instead he would activate his eye magic and zoom in slightly so he could see what was going on. Not too much so that he was zooming in on places but he just wanted to see the stage a bit more clearly from where he was.

He watched the performances of all the contestants. Trying to gauge what they were doing and what they were going to do next. But people seemed to be so unpredictable with their moves. A smoke screen caused him to frown and shake at the thought of losing sight of what he was watching. It may mask people in what they were doing but Nao hated that sort of idea. Losing sight of something was one of his fears. However, the wind effects and the pumpkins containing fire were a good touch that was for sure.

Next he set his sights on a masterful swordsman who also used the wind in part of his act (seemed to be a trend at this point) and Nao was astonished by the pumpkin carving with 1 fell swoop to turn them into such awesome decorations. He didn’t really know much about Infinity Hydra, but they were definitely a really cool guild.

Through all the different acts and all the new people that were entering the building (including Dracula and a werewolf among other creatures of the night that Nao had only heard of in the stories). It wasn’t really a surprise that his eyes followed Shu onto the stage as she addressed the crowd, not really trying to impress them with any kind of fancy work. Was she even in the contest at all? Was she just swept up there because they, like Nao, was surprised she wasn’t wearing her red hat.

Before Nao could get the chance to talk to Shu on the way back, he was soon distracted by the sound of a man singing some kind of Opera and performing some kind of musical. Sort of looked like he was a male version of Anne Hathaway with the way he seemed to move across different places and so much stair climbing. Guess he just liked to be above the crowd huh?

The acts all seemed pretty amazing so far, and it was showing off the guild’s humour and power. Seemed like a good guild to keep a watch on. The Magic Council would be best to keep an eye on how they were growing too. Nao would just remind himself to take note of the people who were on stage, to put in his journal with the details. May he should’ve kept focus on more details but he figured that this wasn’t a guild he’d want to go against.

Wolfe realized the performances were about to come to a close and he still wanted to perform. He wasn't super hyped about about it, but he told himself he would, so he was going to do it. As he noticed Ardere heading up to the stage to obviously help move the night along he ran out of the corner of the room from his AI station and caught Ardere just as he was about to step on stage and asked for a few more moments. Wolfe then phase shifted back the corner and picked up his guitar and strapped it to his back and phase stepped back next to Ardere. Wolfe then stepped on stage and took to the center.

Wolfe then nodded to the corner of the room where he station was and for anyone who looked they would see his main AI program RAINE standing there.

Then a few moments later a drum set appears out of nowhere on the stage behind Wolfe and then like the drum set a person appeared behind the drum set, A vampire looking man.

Drummer:

Then to his right another figure appeared, a dark angel looking man with one black, and one white wing holding a guitar.

Guitarist:

Then on Wolfe's other side a woman appeared holding a bass guitar with wings that her look like a demon.

Bassist:

Wolfe stepped forward and swung his guitar

Guitar:

from behind him and caught it as a beat started from behind him on the drums. As the rifts started each member began to join in till he started to scream and the the whole band kicked into together.

The Song:

As the rifts started so did the light show as lightning started to shoot across the ceiling of the hall and arcs of lighting shot everywhere. As this was happening arcs of black lightning were shooting off of Wolfe as he stood in the center of the stage jamming on his guitar and screaming into the mic.

After about a minute into the song she started to walk to the edge of the stage and just as he took a step off the stage he phase stepped to the closest table, leaving as electrical after image of himself behind. He didn't miss a beat as he now started to take another step and once again phase stepping to the next table. Each time he moves he left and after image of himself behind and the lightning would strike around the after image as well as follow him. As he continued playing he would phase step from one table to the next as he the song played on. Each of the members on stage going nuts as they played along with beat. Right before the end of the song Wolfe phase stepped back tot he stage and on the last note one huge bolt of lightning shot from the center of the room near the ceiling and hit Wolfe. AS it did hundreds of black bolts of lightning shot everywhere across the room.

Wolfe stood there for a second then all the sudden the 3 members of his band disappeared into thin air, as well as their instruments. Wolfe then gave a slight bow and phase stepped off the stage and back to the corner of the room to allow Ardere to take the stage as he had been trying to do before.
