Agol is a stern man, hardened by battle and loss. Once he fought at the border of midi protecting his country against foreign invaders, thugs and large bandit groups. During this time of his life, he lost a lot of comrades. However, upon seeing his comrades fall one after another during his service he slowly grew bitter. This bitterness peaked and twisted into a profound hatred against anything that represents evil during a mission across the border.
At one point during his service, he and whatever remained of his squad were send along with two other battalions to attack an enemy who had made a base just outside of their borders. Their intent was clear, to invade the outer provinces of Midi and pillage and plunder, and kill everyone in their way. With a good defence is a good offence strategy Agol and the other soldiers attacked. However, the moment they did so they weren't met with a simple group of bandits or army but a dark guild. Filled with enemies far stronger than the common soldiers and most of the mages in the battalions. It goes without saying that the Dark Guild eradicated most of the Midi border army. Among the handful of the survivors was Agol who now had seen that everyone he cared about got slain and ripped apart.
Disgraced and beaten, he got banned from his own country for failing at protecting his own country. So he left, fueled by anger, blaming the very guild that had attacked his country and slaughtered all his comrades.
Agol is without a doubt relentless in his pursuit of purging the world of evil, to the point he joined Infinity Hydra where he once again got purpose again. Where it twisted into something cruel, he wasn't only thinking of cleaning up this vile world, but actually got encouraged to take drastic actions against it. He now wants to rid the world of evil, in a way that the means justify the end.
In battle, Agol is headstrong but also impulsive, in order to earn back his honour Agol often heads into battle without thinking or considering the consequences. Not even thinking about the surrounding or who is standing his way. This makes him a danger, not only to himself but to others as well. He is no leader, nor follow orders easily. He is neither a follower, no when it comes to battle he only cares about getting the job done at all cost.
Likes:
- History, from when he was young history has always spoke to him. The past is what he wants to know and thus researches it intensely.
- Symbolism, with history also comes the knowledge of ancient texts and symbols. It's like a puzzle to him he just wants to decipher at all cost.
- Ancient Architecture and all the things that come with it, he just loves it to the point of even annoying others.
Dislikes:
- Coffee, not that he doesn't drink or doesn't like the taste of it. But more the fact that he needs it sometimes to push him through those long nights of researching and studying.
- Cats, especially the talking ones. They're just weird.
- The Hane-Sakana, aka the flying singing fish. Once during his travels he was forced to catch it as his supplies were empty. Upon eating it was maybe better to just starve.
- The Legal Guilds and their continuous gift to attract problems and disaster
Motivations:
- The history of his people, Agol and his fellow villagers may the very long long descendants of an ancient civilization long forgotten. Finding out and proving this, or just knowing it is everything that thrives Agol forwards.
- Ancient Architecture, nothing gets him more hyped then this.
- To find purpose and a new place to call home for his people.
Fears:
- Failure, not in everything. But mostly in the failure of his personal quest, which he treasures above all else it seems.
- The Dark Guilds, not the independent guilds who are technically dark guilds as well. But more the dark guilds on evil side of the good/evil spectrum.
- Abandonnement, if all else fails. if he doest succeed in finding the people of old. What if then he is abandoned by everyone and everything he once hold dear.
