Re: Mages & Mice (Private)
Killing some mice wasn’t exactly a combat job, but Reyna was still glad that the restrictions placed on her (for beating to death a rather bureaucratic official who honestly did deserve it) were starting to loosen up a little. Still, as she stooped down to place a mouse trap, she couldn’t help but feel as though she wanted something a little more... violent. There was something special about brutalizing a bunch of scumbags that she couldn’t quite place. Maybe it was just satisfaction, maybe it was something else.
”There are a lot of these little things,” she called back to Leivinia, who was supposed to be preparing a “trap” of her own on the other side of the living room. She didn’t know what the little girl had in store, but she wasn’t about to spoil the surprise by turning around and finding out early. ”Do you think they really kill mice?”
Honestly, Reyna’d never seen a mouse trap before that very day. She’d never had mice and mice really didn’t seem like that big of a problem. If she were allowed to destroy the house, she’d have just leveled it and taken ‘em all out at once.
Apparently her employers were fans of half measures.

Re: Mages & Mice (Private)
"Kill?"
Leivnia looked back and scowled at Reyna. "I thought we were going to catch them and set them free?" The girl went back to fiddling with her contraption which was now almost as tall as she was! "They're just tiny and furry people with tails and ears and stuff. If I was tiny and furry with tails and ears and stuff, would you kill me?"
The answer to that question was probably a yes.
Regardless, the trap was nearly ready. It just needed something to use as bait-- what was it that mice liked? Leivinia didn't carry any cheese on her, and Reyna was too big to pretend to be a girl mouse. Even if she wasn't, she probably would only attract the older mice while the younger ones stayed behind. "Where are the mice anyway?" she asked, confused. The job had said they were drowning in mice but she hadn't seen a single one yet.
