At first he thought that he should try to cut ahead, thinking that would be the easiest solution to his problem. Before he actually did, he realized that he was part of a Guild and thought that he needed to be on his best behavior. He was representing Blue Pegasus, being a trouble maker would only get him in trouble.
“I have an idea…” he muttered to himself as he was staying in line, “A distraction, yeah that’s what I should do.”
The young Dragon Slayer’s idea was simple, he was going to find someone and pay them to create a distraction. He figured that would be an effective strategy. Right as he was searching for someone, the unexpected thing happened. Two people who were close to the line were having an argument.
“You got something to say to me pal?” a large man yelled out.
“L… Look I have no idea what you’re talking about,” a scrawny man replied back, “Can I just go now?”
As much as Slade wanted to ignore them to return to his plan, he couldn’t help but to eavesdrop on the conversation. Personally, he wanted to see a brawl to entertain him some. Suddenly, as the young Dragon Slayer continued to watch, the smaller man tried to walk away. That’s when things got worse as the larger man decked the other man. Surprisingly, the punch was so powerful that it sent the scrawny stranger soaring through the air.
“Wait…” Slade muttered to himself and then watched as the helpless man was thrown into the line.
Chaos then broke out as the line was interrupted and in the middle of the commotion, a huge portion of the crowd had fallen. The young Dragon Slayer then watched as the citizen started fighting each other. Rather than holding their place in line… they were fighting each other. While Slade wanted to sneak his way through, he couldn’t help but to wonder if anyone would spot him. That was one disadvantage to keeping his Guild mark on his back and hardly ever wearing a shirt.
“You know what,” he said as the citizens continued to trade blows, “I highly doubt anyone will notice.”
With a smirk on his face, the young Dragon Slayer walked forward and saw that there were only a couple of people at the front of the line. He at first thought that he wouldn’t be able to escape boredom, but was then reminded by the sounds of fighting that he could watch the Citizens brawling. After only a few more minutes of waiting, he heard someone’s voice.
“Next!” the man behind a table said to Slade.
“Oh goody! Sure is a mess around here huh?” he said excitedly and filled out paperwork for his passport.
Once he was finished, the young Dragon Slayer tossed his newly acquired form of identification in his back pocket and walked off. As he headed back to Clover, he could still hear people fighting and then suddenly heard someone mentioning his hat. Apparently people were angry about him sneaking to the front. That’s when Slade started running until eventually he couldn’t hear their voices anymore. He also wondered what his next adventure would consist of.
