Darkness. The element that endlessly ran throughout any and all areas of this planet, regardless of the ages in which it would be overtaken by light. Light and darkness. Two rivalling forces arguably responsible for life and death. Life and death; two of Ankhseram's creations. Alas, in all honesty, these immeasurable powers were not controlled by Ankhseram itself, but were rather responsible for Ankhseram's birth. Responsibility; the first trait Ankhseram possessed in its lifetime, resulting in Alito's birth, as well. Alito; Ankhseram's consequence of learning responsibility. Alito's very existence was to complete the tasks Ankhseram could not complete. There were many mysteries behind the reason as to why Ankhseram could not exist as anyone or anything on this planet, though Alito had one certain conclusion: creating an identity on Earth would only bring fear amongst those who would eventually sense its presence, while the last thing a god wanted was to instill fear of its endless potential amongst its own creations. Heck, there was even the mystery questioning whether Ankhseram had a gender or not. Nevertheless, Alito was in another interesting location to discuss alone the essence of life and death, itself.
"Ankhseram, why do life and death exist?" Alito thought aloud, yet knowing that Ankhseram was not one to ever respond even to its most important pupils, "Life brings awareness, but does it not? Death brings loss, does it not? Should humanity just treat its fellow existents as if their life means nothing, and will only come to an eventual death? You will reveal to me your voice someday, Ankhseram. I swear it even upon a god, as who's to say I cannot become a god, myself?" Oh, how Alito always loved to tease his creator, disregarding its feelings, if it had any. Perhaps if a god heard enough wishes from its chosen one, it would finally unravel its own existence, right?
With far too much consideration of Ankhseram's capabilities, maybe it was time to simply move onwards with its curse: Ankhseram's Black Magic. What interested Alito most about gods were their trees of light and darkness. Every god held both elements, you see. While Alito often conversed with his god, he always kept the reasonable secret away of someday finding its White Magic; wizardry born from life. If both godlike possessions were captured by a single wizard, surely that wizard would become a god, himself. Alito had accepted the challenge of finding this long ago- centuries ago, in that matter. However, there had always been another supreme force whose existence was questioned to be comparable to a god already.
"Aegis: the divine guardian of life and death." Alito began his second speech, "If I am not mistaken, during the century of artificial gods, you were your own sacred landform, correct? Even the heavens and netherworlds could not surpass your shield. Though unlike any living being introduced to the universe, it is only fair to say you have your own, unique identity, correct? A rival of a god could not possibly be a simple landscape, after all."
His second speech put to an end, Alito wandered throughout nearby portions of the Serene Cliffs; one of the most peaceful landforms in human history. Though enveloped by light, it seemed darkness had clashed with the extraordinary presence recently. Normally, by himself, Alito could not notice such a thing, though with the power in his grasp, the boy could at least investigate this newly found occurrence. Alito and Ankhseram's combined power of deathly magic attempted to overcome this initially invisible clash of light and darkness born from the clashing of two overwhelmingly strong figures, yet even with Ankhseram pushing against the aftermath of a brilliant fight, Alito was pushed back, though with a newfound discovery.
"Aegis...Found you..." Alito concluded.
