It was March 3, 2014. I was a young upstart on the site, by the name of Nikolai Dixon. The community was welcoming, staff were willing to help you with anything, you name it. I expected myself to stay up most nights having talks with some of the people in the chatbox, or writing up posts for my friends. I knew that I was going to have the best time of my life here, and was going to stay here for years to come.

That was before I realized how truly toxic this forum is.

There's a huge difference between the Shunsuke/Nikolai/Kenpachi back then, and the me now: Now I know shit when I look at it. I kept telling myself that the goddamn site would get better, that I would have as much fun as I used to back then.

That was false hope and I knew it. I was getting so disgusted with the site that my activity had waned to the point where I was a fucking chatbox lurker, saying that I was going to do this-and-that, knowing full well that I wasn't. This goes for everyone, but if you have complaints come to me and i'll try to deal with them. Also don't make promises you can't or won't keep as it just pisses people off and turns them against you

I curse myself for lying to myself all those days and nights. I also curse this site for giving me the false hope that things would get better. Shame you left really as things are getting better. I and the other staff are fixing issues, changing systems and doing what we can to improve it. A lot of the issues on site are left over from old staff and its hard to fix them without breaking everything so give us some credit. I've got a list thats a couple of pages long of stuff I am planning to fix. I spend time on my journey to and from work writing up fixes.

Let's think about how every event on this site turns into a conduit for the glory hounds to make themselves look good when the lower-ranked are left with lightweight work. [color=teal]This is practically impossible to balance. Higher ranked members are power houses. They have high versatility, high skill and high power. Trying to balance an event with multiple H ranks with D ranks in the thread is very hard. You either make it too easy for the H ranks or too hard for the D ranks. I think the recent event has done pretty well, but you are always going to get power players. Its a story. You want to make things interesting. Make them interesting yourself and don't rely on others all the time.

Let's think about how when something doesn't go their way, some people bitch and it eventually changes in their favour. This is called, in some ways, a suggestion. SUre people might do it the wrong way, but often there is legitimate stuff within the complaint or 'bitching' that is worth implementing

Let's think about how shoddy the PVP system is, to the point where some people refuse to do it. As has been stated multiple times by myself and every other staff member: This site is not about PVP. It never has been and never will be. The PVP system is there as an option, but its not a heavy focus. This has been improved considerably. However, considering this is a 'story' site and people have control of their characters there is no real way to balance it. Its not like a video game where there are set stats and moves. No, there is virtually anything can happen. Its almost impossible to balance without introducing a full stat system which we never want to do because then it becomes a who has the best numbers contest. Here's a tip? If you don't like PVP then don't do it. Its not necessary to advance. IF you want to do it for plot then do it for plot, but then you need to worry about the other people. If PVP goes bad it isn't the staff fault

Let's think about how some people have to avoid certain characters in RPs because they don't want to suffer being skinned alive by some douchebag who only cares about advancing himself. There are many people on site who ICLY would do this. This is story driven. Yes you aren't going to want to RP with ever member, but that's your choice and nobody elses. This is a site, which with how its built, promotes advancing your character via ranking or whatever. There are evil characters and good characters. There is always going to be conflict and people who get their character's 'skinned alive' because of it. Thats the nature of a story driven RP with evil people some of whom are torturers or cannabils or whatever. Also if you go against someone whose significantly higher ranked and you aren't confident in your RP skills...then yeah you might get skinned alive. Not sure here. Anyone has any improvements on this or clarification then let me know k?

Let's think about how there's a particular guild whose guildmaster bribes his members into winning the scoreboard, and only runs the guild to advance his own plot. [color=teal]A guildmaster who encourages their guild to do rp jobs which gets the guild to win the scoreboard and get more money which then benefits the entire guild? Hmm...doesn't sound such a bad idea to me. Its called a work incentive. For example, in a real world job you decide to work extra hard and get a bonus for it. Is this a bribe? No its a reward. As for the 'advancing his own plot' I am a member of that guild and haven't done anything to advance his plot. He's helped me advance my own. Same for a few other members. So yes, people may have problem's with that guild master and i've had my own in the past.

Let's think about how there are certain members and staff who deserve to be banned, but aren't/weren't because the mods are niggas with them. There are certain members who perhaps have warranted a ban in the past/now but without concrete evidence we can see and use as proof we can't do much. Or if we do ban them then we get everyone else complaining about how the ban was wrong. We don't like to ban because everyone has a chance to improve. However, some have been banned in the past

Let's think about how the staff is going to sweep this under the rug, as they do everything else, to maintain their saint status. Nope. I'm going to leave this here for a while for everyone to see. I know i'm not a saint(except as a wizard saint) and i've had a go at members, threatened to quit and been a right arroogant bastard at times, but as a lot of you might know i've also done a lot to try and improve the site and i'm generally always willing to help. So yes i'm a douche sometimes, but guess what so is everyone. That's life. If its such a big problem on a website that doesn't effect your real life then I don't know how you will cope in real life

I absolutely guarantee that when some of you read this, you're going to go up into the chatbox and talk shit about how much of a shithead I am, and how I'm whining that shit didn't go my way. You people who think and do that are prime fucking examples of bitch-made motherfuckers who only know how to talk shit on the internet, and I'm frankly disgusted.

There's a minority on the site who knows exactly what I'm talking about. In spite of what I said, there's a handful of motherfuckers who can read this post and agree with most or all of what I've said.

Honestly, why do I even bother to write up this fucking post? I'm just another thread in your long-ass shit of Intros/Farewells. And I guarantee that staff will sweep this under the rug when they see this. Since that's all they really know how to do.

I would tell you what you can do to fix the site up, but I'm honestly beyond the point of thinking this site will change. So you are going to be the type to complain without offering anything constructive. That tbh is worse than anything else here
