    Job:

Ignite, seriously, I still believe these stories you heard are stupid. Statues that just so happen to move when you don't see them? Yes, that's believable. Why are we going on this job anyways? Elyx asked, the both of them walking through Black Rose, on their way out. This was a new job, it sounded much crazier than the previous jobs he ever went on, not even the A rank jobs he went on had such stupid stories such as this. People getting lost in a house, well it was their fault for even going into the haunted village in the first place. Ignite crossed her arms before looking over to the boy, her eyes half closed with no appreciation for the attitude. These are regular people who have gotten lost, if people never had troubles, you would be no better than a rogue. Ignite replied before she the knocked Elyx with her left fist, the skull being pushed to the side, causing the Violinist to stumble to regain his balance. The both of them had a weird friendship based on minimally hurting each other, there just seemed to be no better way to show it. The She-Phoenix then revealed why she took the job in the first place. Besides! Look at this jewel reward! 75,000 jewels is nothing to sneeze at, that's almost our monthly rent right there! Ignite exclaimed before she shoved the paper in the boys face. Now Elyx was curious on what job she took.

Elyx snatched the paper from Ignite while she shoved it at his face, and the first thing that caught his eye was the ranking that it recommended. What the hell!? Ignite, this is a SS mission! Elyx exclaimed before looking down to the reward, no A rank job would ever pay 75,000 jewels! What was she even thinking when she took this job!? For one thing, they weren't even allowed to have this paper with them in the first place, if Kakuma  found out that they were going alone on a SS ranked job, she would probably beat the both of them down for an hour straight. All right, maybe she was not the type to do that, but she certainly had special ways of punishing those who didn't follow the rules. Ignite, not even a chocolate bar can make up for this, Kakuma will kill us if she found out you took such a dangerous job! Elyx once again yelled, only for the attention of a few people in the village to hear and turn their heads this way. Elyx and Ignite both felt their bodies shrink for a small moment, taking in this awkward moment that they forced upon themselves. (Chibi). Ignite gripped Elyx's wrist and rushed the two of them to the Neutral Ground Borders to get away from the group of people before things could get any worse. Listen Elyx, this job in the job description allows A ranked mages to take it as well, we just need to find another A ranked mage and we can do this. Ignite said, trying to comfort the boy, but the attempt went to the gutters. For one thing, the both of them were not going to drag Enola back into a job, last time they did that, she ended up losing all of her jewels due to the sexual harassment the Maid's pet showed. Even if that were not the case, she were not A rank from what Elyx could tell. After all, he just became an A ranked mage himself.

The both of them continued to walk through the borders until they entered the Forest that separated the Neutral Grounds from the Meadows that would lead him into the Haunted Village. This house, according to the paper, was known as the House of Lost Souls. A decent name, though it might need to emphasize a little bit more if it wanted to intimidate the higher ranked mages. There was one more question, and it was a good one as well. There are barely any A rank mages nowadays Ignite, where do you expect us to find the A rank mage that just so happens to be taking this same job as we are? Elyx asked as he crossed his arms, one overlapping the other. The both of them continued to walk through the grass, it was not an easy question for the She-Phoenix to answer. She full well knew that the lack of high ranking mages were too great, at this point, they might as well try to use connections, or maybe claim she is an A rank mage. If they get caught in that act though, they could get booted out of Fiore. From this point, they can't return to Black Rose without this job completed, the people who heard this would spread the news of an actually SS ranked job being completed. Kakuma will probably hear of this, and if they go back with just bad news, they were done for. At this point, they need to beat this job successfully, and if they didn't want to die, they needed to find an A ranked mage, because it's pretty clear that anything higher would not care about it. If neither of them found a mage that fit the description, they were done for.
