A small smile appeared on her face as she smelt a familiar scent, a freshly baked cookies. The girl hopped towards the tiny, empty bakery shop. "Excuse me, I would like to have a packet of chocolate cookies," the girl said with a sweet smile on her face. Nothing is better than a day with cookies and a warm drink, her mind reeling where to buy a nice warm drink.
"Thanks," the girl thanked politely as she paid for the cookies and nibbled on a sample cookie. With a last drooling look at the whole bakery, she left the place while thinking where a nice cup of coffee would be sell at.
After more wandering, the girl at last found a place by following an aroma of the coffee, it was not crowded because the sun had not even fully risen yet. She ordered for a cup of warm coffee and a sight of chessboard caught her eyes. She decided to play a game while waiting for her order. The girl toyed the queen's piece as she moved the others pieces as the way she want. The man laughed as he was winning but inwardly, the girl smirked.
"Little girl like you should not play things like this. What would you understand a game of chess?" the man mocked at the girl.
The girl showed no recognition that she heard him but instead whispered, "Checkmate" and moved her queen piece.
With a small smirk at the man, she left the seat without another word and took her coffee which was served as soon as she stood in front of it. Checkmate again The girl then left the place and found a huge oak tree across two streets, she elegantly sat on the thick branch as she sipped her drink and nibbled on her cookies.
