Job Title: The Haunting part III : Survival!
Rank: B
Player Requirements:
-1 B-rank bare minimum or 3 C-ranks.
-max 5 Mages
-Completed part II
Job Requirements:
-3 Rolls at least +1 per player before you confront boss. After 3 rolls, you may instantly confront the boss.
-Must beat boss to continue
-25 total posts
-300 words per post
Job Location:
-Spooky Forest
Job Description: Either you accepted the Shady man's words right away, or you pondered on them and only to eventually return days/weeks/months later. If you sat down with the man after you heard him then he told you these words
"Oh yes... the betrayer strikes again. Lures to death, wolves tear the flesh of their own. Oh yes.. the blood is stolen again, the essence of life attempted once more. their base is deeper..oh yes much deeper but (insert character name here) shouldn't go, their mind not ready for the terror" Though you realize he knew your name, he seems to lose interest, and even though you ask him questions the man reveals he is much too old to even live anymore, easily in his hundreds and begins to drool and mumble to himself.
If you came 'back'(i.e didn't accept this job right away after completing part II) then you seem to have come back to the town and or you are given a note stating the man had last words for you those words were "Betrayer inside, dont run to the forest"
Its time to explore... what is going on here...
Enemies: To say the enemies would be easy would be an understatement, even for a B-rank they can easily kill. Please take this job with precaution.
Weak:
-Hunting force: X20 Blood wolves are now on your trail, they deal C-rank each, and take only take C-rank worth of damage. If you killed the alpha from part II, then there is only x10 each roll.
Normal:
-A dense white fog illuminates the dark forest you're wandering in. It begins a slow pace towrds you and seems like nothing but a white fog at first, but then you suddenly realize it is magical. If you touch this fog at any time you recieve C-rank worth of damage per post to your HP as the body part that touches it seems to be cut by thousands of razor blades. The fog keeps itself to near floor level, while it does it only takes a few moments to pass, or try to get around, though it is thick, you can't see through it. The fog will linger in place and sipon 5% mana per post even if you have defenses up so long as you get touched by this. Though good luck since you'd need to start learning to travel by branch level till it passes away(stays till you roll a new roll)
Strong:
-Whispers in the wind, and some of the strongest hallucinogenic pollen from the surrounding plants that make your fears come alive, and amplify them ten fold. Even those that proclaim they have no fears will surely find themselves dying from within through the painful hallucinations devouring their mental state until they leave or get clean water. Though good luck when the pollen itself has polluted the only near by water stream. Lets hope you have some form of way to have brought with some clean water. Upon this roll, you'll realize you brushed the wrong tree, the wrong bush or something and pollen has dropped from the tops of the trees onto your entire party. Making the job just that much harder as fear is settling in your character from the visions they see. Even those that 'are not scared' will still see visions of enemies near by. This'll last till 2 rolls are made.
Boss:
-Death Figure: 200HP, Has three spells and is by all means as powerful as a B-ranked mage:
-Ability to do the Haunting Part IV :Almost there
-10k Jewels x player (if you beat the boss)
Note: Upon completing you find Jewels x the number of players on the job in the pockets of the Boss, and it is your job to be fair in splitting it up icly and oocly. (since jewel gifting is a thing anyways)
Note 2:
upon beating the boss, you come across a Strange entrance. Though the man that hired you for the first and second job can be seen running into it. If you dare to follow then you will be partaking in the part 4. Though a strong magical barrier exists, only those ready can follow or be crushed by the magic(Job rank rules requirement). So if you must wait and return, nothing has changed, the man would have gotten away anyways
Though even from the outside you can see this...
