Special Characteristics: His hair stands up almost perfectly vertically with only a small hairband to hold it into place and no signs of hair gel used. Only Zuo Cii himself knows how this is achieved. He also has a very magnificent beard.

Personality:
Zuo Cii over the course of his overly long life has become known as the mocking sage, for good reason. He has appeared throughout history guiding and mocking world leaders to try to keep them on the path of virtue. He holds the values of virtue and generosity above all else and has made his life mission to spread said values through out the world. He is elegant in the way he moves through life, he takes long strides and speaks in poetic verses. His words tend to have double meanings and have a mocking edge to them, he tries to teach humility to all he speaks to through this. He can be stern and disciplining, but is more then capable of being kind, rewarding and understanding when the time is appropriate. When faced with adversity he show's no fear and works towards the best possible outcome for the greatest number of people. He is a humble man who is willing to admit to his own faults and strives to improve on them. He is quick to anger, but slow to show it; he admits it is a fault in his character that he bottles up all his emotions and under great stress he may let them loose and lash out. He tries to speak in rhymes and poetic verses to calm himself to the point where a person can gauge how angry he really is by how much his words are rhyming, if he is rhyming every sentence then you are likely about to send him over the edge. He knows that to be the model for humanity he strives to be, that he must over come this so that he may help the world on the road to virtue, but he also knows everyone has a flaw, and if this is his cross to carry he will bear it.

     For people who know him more personally he can be described by the 5 S's Strong, Stoic, Swift, Senile and Silly. When troubled he proves to be a man of strong resolve who can work to a solution to a problem in a short amount of time while showing minimal concern. But in a more casual environment he is known to jest and speak in riddles and rhymes and  self-full filling prophecy. He constantly has to fight off the effects of age corrupting his mind and tearing away at his sanity; which he does to great effect but he is prone to lapses in his judgement and may spew random non-sense on occasion. He may hold the image of an old man with a strong will and strict discipline, but that does not stop him from showing great compassion for all life and the well fare of all living things. He spends long hours gardening and meditating, and can be found on his hands and knees in the forest apologizing for his past actions and wrong doings before obtaining his personal "enlightenment of virtue" and for when he acts against his own codes. Zuo Cii firmly believes there is magic in all things and it is the duty of mages and humanity to allow that magic to flourish and grow and encompass the entirety of the world in unity and glory.

Likes:
Virtue- Zuo Cii holds the ideals of virtue above all else, for he believes they are the key to an ideal world.
Life- Nothing is more sacred then the gift of life, anyone who cannot see that is a fool in his eyes.
Children- Nothing can make Zuo Cii smile like seeing the future in the eyes of the young.

Dislikes:
Greed- Greed is a corrupter of man that leads them to defy virtue and put themselves before the good of all
War- There is a time and place for violence and bloodshed and Zuo Cii occasionally takes part in it, but that doesn't mean he enjoys it.
Himself- He wants to guide humanity to a better future, but does not believe that despite his improbable and long life he has still failed to do so.

Motivations:
Enlightenment- Zuo Cii has obtained a state of enlightenment that grants him visions of a brighter future to strive for
Virtue- All his efforts are to further his virtues
Peace- He is willing to fight in the present to create peace in the future

Fears:
Death- Zuo Cii has expanded his life span with magic and mystic medical practices, because of this he does not know the hour his death shall come, he cannot even know if his time is drawing near. It could be tomorrow, it could be 500 years, it could be never.
Insanity- He can fight he degrading body with magic all he wants, but magic can do little for his mind; the only thing keeping him sane is his iron will and constant mental exercise.
Failure- There was a time when failure was an option for Zou Cii, but he has become so old his early exploits are fairy tales and myths and he believes his judgement day is coming near and he knows he is not ready yet.

Appearance: Zuo Ci is tall and lanky, his skin is smooth and dry and his features are sharp and well sculpted. He shows shines of maybe being handsome when younger, but he has obviously lost a fair bit of luster since then. His fingers are very long an appear to have an extra joint in each. His attire is straight from the Han Dynasty of China, he is generally seen in simple white robes with a yin-yang symbol on the front or back, under the robes is a plain tunic, navy blue trousers that are tucked into dark blue boots. He sports a magnificent beard that is probably magic in some way, but any magic powers stored in his beard are untold of in any of his myths or legends.
