Snowy Cottage, Android Harpy style

Job Details:

T'Lem looked around the remains of the old guild hall, wondering what had occured. She'd shut down from her systems failing to adapt to the alterations the Earth Goddess had subjected her to, and had only just now rebooted... but it seemed that Cor Draco was no more, judging from the lack of the identification tattoo on her synthetic flesh.

She conducted a self-diagnostic on her subroutines and discovered that the Earth Goddess' magic had been revoked from her systems. She was back to her base standard settings. As she began to leave the building, she spotted the remains of the job board, with some missions still hanging from it.

The android collected them, seeing fit to fulfill them, even if the guild no longer existed, the jobs still did. First on the list was...

"Construction of your domicile without the application of magical forces?" she inquired of the gentleman in the mountains when she'd arrived. Seemed simple enough. With her artificial body she was much stronger and agile than any normal human, let alone magus... so this task should be simple enough to accomplish, and with the no magic restriction, would help her to conserve her magical power supply. Least until she could figure out a way to replenish her energy.

The job had been handed to her by the caretaker assigned to her to make sure every so often she actually went on a job before her own memory would get to her as the man handed her the letter and cast a minor memory spell on it, “This will let you remember the directions to the area for the job until you come back alright?” She nodded her head stretching her wings and talons as she prepared to fly off towards the location of the job, “Now remember you cannot use magic for this alright?” she nodded again the man was really kind to her! But she also needed to remember what he said and the small amount of parchment around her neck had been set there so that when she put a jobs details there it would be written into her memory so that she did not forget the job, “I am off now!~” she kicked off her feet from the height of the guild hall flying in the air as she flapped her wings and took off towards the location for the job she needed to do.

When she was around halfway there she could feel the temperature begin to lower as she could see snow on the mountains which made her shudder slightly, “I don’t like cold!” She continued to fly though slightly more reluctantly as she did due to the cold of the mountains.

Once she had reached the destination she noticed a strange lady there already, a lady she had never seen, along with two men one young, one old. With a flap she landed and smiled, “My name is Nanaka! I am here to help with the building!” She smiled wide and tried to not make a fool of herself as she knew what the job was and why she was here thanks to the parchment tied around her neck. The man looked at her a tad worried and smiled back, “A-Ah. . . My name is Bartre and this is my son Ninko.” He motioned his hand towards his son and the man waved, “Nice to meet you both though I was not expecting to get a beautiful woman and a. . . Monster for the job.” the father glared at his son and sighed, “We need to get this place built before a storm hits making it almost impossible to build.” She seemed to almost either ignore or not even remember (Which she does not) the comment about her being a monster when she smiled and walked around eyeing the structure and smiling, “I don’t have hands mister old! But I have wings and can bring tools and materials up high!” she smiled and the man laughed slightly assuming that she was quite young due to her appearance, “Ah the name is Bertre, but what about you young lady? What are you gonna do to help?” It may have sounded a bit aggressive but he needed to know what he was working with in terms of help.

The android tilted her head at the younger males description of the two applicants to their job request. She turned her attention to the avian hybrid female. "Was he referring to me or you his commentary?" T'Lem asked the woman. She personally found the woman's aesthetic features to be quite pleasant on the eyes. The womans hair matching the colouration of her feathers and clothing choice worked quite well. Her eyes and skin tone worked well to counterbalance the azure hues.

"Oh, greeting protocols. Apologies. This unit is designated T'Lem Rupee." she said with a nod to the humans and avian hybrid. "Err... right..." the old man said. "As for what I can do to help in the construction." she said before moving over to one of the already cut down logs. "Don't know how you're going to lift that, little lady like you." said the son, making T'Lem reproduce the sensation of irritation.

The android proceeded to lift the log above her head then rest it on her shoulder, much to the son's jaw dropping chagrin. "Where would you like this to be placed?" she asked. The father chuckled a little before nodding to a spot. The android nodded and went over to the indicated spot and placed the log down. "Horizontal or vertical?" she asked. "That's goin' to be one of the pillars." he answered, T'Lem nodding before she punched the pole into the ground.

She watched the woman lift the pillar and punch the hole in the ground her eyes shining in amazement seeming to completely be unable to notice the odd speech patterns of the woman. "Ah! Ah! Lemme help too!" She would fly up and swoop down grabbing another one of the logs and set it down where the old man would specify until they were all where they had to be, "done done done!" She was smiling and laughing happily and smiling at the woman as she watched her create holes in the ground with her hands, "Wow miss you are strong!" She laughed and followed the woman around as they began to place the logs into the holes where they needed to be and the young harpy girl looked up at the woman she had yet to truly interact with, "Miss what is your name?" She had already forgotten the girls name but she wanted to know it at the very least, "My name is Nanaka! I am a harpy princess~ not a queen until I make a nest. . ." She smiled again hoping that the lady would have a bit of fun and talk with her.

T'Lem raised an eyebrow at this information concerning the harpy hierarchy system. "My name is T'Lem Rupee." she repeated, getting the idea that this harpy had short-term memory problems, and thus altered her socialisation parameters accordingly. "And by nest do you mean just the basic branch structure, or does the term nest for harpies mean when you have located a suitable mate and procreated, i.e, had eggs or offspring with them?" the android casually inquired, causing the client's son to blink at the directness of the question.

"Err... ladies, not meanin' to interrupt, but..." said the father, to which T'Lem nodded. "Of course sir. I presume basic horizontal procedure for the walls of the structure with a dowel rod system to interlock them together?" she said, accessing old records she'd read in the former Cor Draco library. The old man blinked before nodding. T'Lem took a look at the basic outline they had made before nodding. She formed a knife like shape with her hand before plunging it into the wood, and then rotated it like a drill before pulling it from the wood, revealing her true metallic nature.

"Oh... seems my synthetic flesh can't withstand the pressures for too long. Storing data experience for future reference." she said non-chalantly before starting to begin the process in other places in the other logs. "Oi! We said no magic! That ain't normal!" said the son. T'Lem tilted her head somewhat. "I didn't use magic. I simply disabled the couplings in my wrist joint to enable them to rotate 360 degrees at the correct speeds to ensure a smooth joint. You presumed I was human, therefore are basing your expectations on that assumption." she said, before continuing with her work.

She kept her eyes on the movement of the lady near her as she hear the name once again, “T’lem. . . Rupee. . .” She tried to think of a way to memorize it and had a fun idea as she smiled at the woman and grinned, “Okay miss Lemmy!” She tended to call people something simple in almost all cases so as to not forget names so easily. Soon enough T’lem had asked her if the nest portion meant to have kids and she nodded, “Mhmm! A queen has to propagate the race and unlike most other harpies where they are smaller and weaker royal harpies tend to be larger and stronger than the rest.” She was smiling when the old man brought them back to the attention of what they had come to do as she sat back and waited to be able to do something for the construction of the building due to it requiring hands for the most part.

What amazed her more about the building was when Lemmy began to use her hand like no human should and with ease her skin came off causing the small harpy to panic,”Y-Yikes! are you okay?!” She did not seem to noticed the robotics underneath until she had brought over a first aid kit and saw the metal for the first time, “Wow! That is so cool!” She was amazed by the metal work since with harpies they tended to work more with nature than metals only usually making jewellery for the most part, “Lemmy you are cool!” She smiled and continued to gawk over the androids hand a bit more.

"Actually it's quite warm due to the friction imposed on it from the high speed drilling. I would highly advise against touching the metal for the time being if that was what you intended to do." the android warned the harpy, tilting her head in confusion. "I would certainly hope I was cool. If I were to overheat then I would begin to degrade in my functions. I've already been through one shut down... once is enough." said T'Lem, recalling the silent void of non-existence that had been her not too long ago.

The android broke from her reverie, taking a note to not discuss that moment in time whilst on a job again and proceeded to form dowel rods for the logs from the lumps of wood nearby by whittling them down. Since her hand had lost its synthetic flesh, it was a simple enough matter to utilise it as a knife for the task at hand. She thanked her creators for giving her a feminine format, seeing as the traditional male hands would be too bulky for this task, whilst a females hands were just the right shape for a knife.

She still had no clue that the woman was even an android and nodded as she tried to help where she could using her flight to bring tools and supplies to the two men when they needed it with the son being a bit of a pervert at times looking her up without her noticing. After enough time had passed they were almost finished with the main things needing to be finished were the area for ventilation from a stove and fireplace and the floor itself as the outer part was in tip top condition to survive harsh whether. “I do say ladies you two make good builders with the robot hands and such along with the winged lass.” The old man was happy he got the help he needed and the son was happy he had some things to look at and undress in his mind it seemed, “Ah no problem! I am quite happy to help someone build their nest!!!” she smiled and tried to use her wings as if to do the “Peace” symbol but due to the fact she only had her one thumb like appendage it did not work.

Soon she turned to her partner and smiled, “Ah miss Lemmy!” She smiled and hugged the android woman and held her smiled strong, “Thanks for the help! And not chasing me off.” She giggled as she was used to being chased off by humans since most saw harpies as mindless monsters.

T'Lem gave the man a perfunctionary bow, his son blinking at the jiggle of her mammary glands as she moved in respect to the client's compliments. "Thank you sir. It was a pleasure to have aided you in this task." the magical android replied, blinking as she found herself being wrapped up in the bird womans upper limbs.

Her nerve clusters registered the sensation of the woman, Nanaka's feathers on the scale of soft materials to hard materials as being the peak of softness, based on the scale embedded within her programming. She tilted her head in confusion. "Why would I have chased you off? You were here to undertake this job the same as I was. You didn't attack me or the clients. So there would have been no logical reason for me to do so." T'Lem replied, her pathways going over the various scenarios to result in such an outcome. Perhaps it was an organics thing?

She nodded giving a soft smile at all her hard work and looked at Lemmy, "Well normally people see my species as a pest and drive them off." She giggled and stuck her "Thumb" up, "I have been chased of many times!" She giggled as she began to walk away with the android and looked up at her with a smile, "Ah ah miss Lemmy if you want you can always come visit me at Sabertooth!!!" she giggled and showed her back which had the guild symbol magically put onto it, "So if you ever want Miss Lemmy we can hang out again okay?!" She was super excited to have met a new friend but no matter what she was more than happy to have helped others make their own nest, "Ah I gotta fly before the winds grow too cold!" She knew the storm was coming and gave T'lem a hug before flying off yelling down to her, "Come visit me at Sabertooth!!!" Unbeknownst to her however she was flying in the opposite direction of Sabertooth.
