Kihia was sitting on the stump of what used to be an ancient oak tree that had been felled months ago, he was sitting there awaiting Hakumi to arrive for her exam. A few days ago Kihia received word on his desk that Hakumi Nazu managed to accomplish numerous feats throughout Fiore and he deemed her ready for the next stage. The birds in the trees sung around him, yet on this day, Kihia had very important task and test for Hakumi, one that will challenge traditional train of thought, and challenge what the situation demands for. Kihia listened to the ancient forest, knowing full well what was going on inside of the forest, and wondered how Hakumi would be to todays situation…

Hakumi had foreseen this day, the day that should would finally get the attention of her guild master and have the chance to earn a higher title. She wasn't sure of how he would test her, but she knew that it would be difficult, so she was prepared to go through great hardships during the time that she would be taking the exam. She was still a little iffy on if she would pass or not, even though the strength she had at the time made her capable of doing so many things. She was able to take down powerful treasure hunters, vulcans, goblins, etc. To make it short, the power she had at the time helped her out of so many situations one would think she's been a mage all her life, that she trained every day of her life. Though it was true, she was not always training in the way that someone would expect. She didn't train her physical strength everyday, but instead she trained her mind, learning new things every day.
Hakumi's hand trembled a bit. She was prepared, but she had still been pretty nervous. She was about to get trialed, and failure was possible. she slowly, but steadily, got herself ready. Once she was ready, she headed to Kihia, ready to take her exam. "Hello Mr.Avoa. I am ready fr my examination." She said.

Kihia opened his eyes as Hakumi approached, he did a slight nod in greeting, “Greetings Hakumi… I am glad to see that you have made it here…” Kihia rolled his neck a bit working his stiff muscles loose, “I have called you out here for a simple test… I want you to capture three of the rarest creatures that are said to inhabit this forest, A Wood Fairy, a Golden woodpecker, and a Ivory Anaconda… Come back to me when you have managed to capture all three alive…” Kihia then went quiet as he started to wait for Hakumi to complete what seemed to be her objective.

As Hakumi walked over to kihia, she noticed that his eyes had been closed, making him seem pretty nonchalant, but she was certain that he was at least a little bit worried. Heck, Hakumi couldn't deny that she was a bit worried herself. She was questioning her previous confidence a little. She started to become unsure of success. "Will do!" Hakumi then turned and walked off. "Simple" She said to herself. "Three of the rarest creatures and he says simple. I haven't even heard of those creatures before." Hakumi then sighed a bit. Just as expected, the quest would end up difficult. She wasn't sure what he wanted her to do with the three creatures when she captured them, if she managed to capture them in the first place. She wandered the forest aimlessly, trying to figure out how on earth she would find any of the creatures. She assumed that since they were rare, that they probably inhabited dangerous places, which would make capturing them even more difficult. Hakumi was completely amazed at the fact that she didn't know anything about any of those creatures. She didn't think that there would be some deeper meaning to why she was collecting the three creatures, she just knew that she needed to capture. She assumed that she would be able to use a few of the small books that she had brough along with her. The books had basic descriptions of creatures that inhabited the continent, containing more information on Hargeon than any other town. Hakumi decided that she would read on fairies first, as they seemed to be the easiest to capture. Fairies were somewhat dangerous creatures. Though they were small, they still packed a hard punch. The fairy that Hakumi had to capture, was among the strongest types of fairies: a wood fairy. Regular fairies didn't have magic that was good for offensive situations. The Woof Dairy was considered to be one of the best defensive types of creatures, along with the Trolls and Golems. As such, they are considered to be an anti-fire kind of creature, having traits that no other is capable of offering - a key resistance to the powerful Fighting types, as well as the Dark and Bug types, granting resistances to overused moves like Close Combat, Knock Off and U-turn. Most of all, it also has a useful immunity to Dragon-type moves. Its only weaknesses are to Poison and fire, both of which were rarely used defensively. Since the fairies of this type tend to have a high Special Defense, they excel at the role of being a special wall, further strengthened by the fact that there are few powerful special attackers among Steel and Poison types. Wood Fairies are known to be one of the strongest for a reason.
Now that she knew a little something about wood fairies, it was time to go and capture one. Since her magic wasn't a really a weakness against them, she would have to try and trap one without harming it. She then traveled through the forest, searching for the habitat of the creature, "Hmm... Where in the forest could it be?" She said to herself. She wasn't the best with navigation, so of course she'd have trouble, but she wasn't expecting to have as hard of a time that she was. She searched through trees, under bark, on twigs, but she just couldn't find them. As she was searching inside of a tree, she spotted brown sparkles. "Could that be it!?" She said to herself. She hurriedly ran toward the direction that the sparkles had been coming from, hoping that it had been one of the fairies she was looking for. She jumped down from the tree, and ran after the sparkles. After she had finally had lost trail of the original glowing sparkles, she had spotted more. When she looked at them, she observed that attached the wings were a set of wings. And attached the wings, WAS A FAIRY! She quickly covered the fairy with an orb of water, making sure that she had a few air bubbles in it. She was surprised that the fairy hadn't put a bigger fight. They were known to be feisty, but the fairy she had captured hadn't been an example of that. "let me out!" Hakumi heard the faint sound of a voice. "Did someone say something?" Hakumi said curiously. "let me out!" There it was again! But she just ignored it. Hakumi had been on of those people that believed that they had heard something that wasn't really there, so she believed that, that had been the case. She was then off to find the next creature on the list: A Golden Woodpecker. She ordered her list by which creature she believed was easier to catch. The woodpeckers were a part of the Picidae family, a group of near-passerine birds that also consist of piculets, wrynecks, and sapsuckers. Members of this family are found worldwide, except for extreme polar regions. Most species live in forests or woodland habitats, although a few species are known to live in treeless areas, such as rocky hillsides and deserts. Golden woodpeckers were a lot like your average woodpecker, except they were magical. The species was almost extinct due to them constantly being captured for different purposes. That caused them to migrate, giving them they're habitat in the forest. These creatures weren't necessarily looking fro fights, so trapping it would be fairly easy. As long as she didn't startle the woodpecker, capturing it would be easy.
She searched the trees for the bird. Since the sun was shining, all she needed was for the bird to be in the way of one of it's rays, making the light bounce off of it, as it was a golden bird. The chance she was looking for was there because that was exactly what happened. The woodpeckers golden feathers had been glowing. Hakumi silently approached so that she could in the needed range for her to trap it inside of her water sphere. She slowly crept up to the bird, quickly encircling it in the sphere. She then moved on to last creature. The Ivory Anaconda was certainly the hardest to catch. Ivory Anacondas were able to live in any type of weather, as they adapted easily. They were also very dangerous. No one would dare try to go toe to toe with one of them. Hakumi didn't plan on trying to fight one of the snakes at all. Ivory Anacondas lived together in ditches, so trying to capture just one wasn't going to be easy. Just to be careful, she disguised herself as a water droplet. Once she approached the snake pit, she carefully looked at it, trying to see which snake was the least tangled within the other ones. Once she found that snake, she quickly trapped it and ran back to run back to where she had been, but she stopped in the middle of running back. She looked at the creatures that she had captured, each one looking to be in pain with what she had done to them. She began to get a little sad herself. "I can't leave you in here... It's not right to trap innocent creatures. You didn't ask for this." She said sadly. She wasn't sure what would happen with the exam now, as she had failed to return to kihia with all three creatures. She felt like sobbing, and was close to doing so.

The ground under Hakumi’s feet would then suddenly give way dropping her into a slide like tunnel, that eventually let out into a large cave. At first this room was completely dark, there were sounds of various things moving around in there. Then suddenly torches from around the cavern sprung to life revealing a sorry sight to see. Cages covered nearly every inch of the cavern, and within them, rare creatures from all throughout Fiore, very apparent they had been in here a long while. Suddenly a man appeared on top of one of the cages and looked down at Hakumi, he had a long mane of matted black hair, and was wearing a worn brown tunic and pants, “Thanks for bringing me a special gift girly, and now I hope you enjoy your stay” He then snapped his fingers as a cage started to drop right down on top of Hakumi and the three animals she had captured.

As Hakumi stood there, in the middle of the forest, the ground below her began to give away. She roughly slid on the dirt and hit a few tree roots on her way down. The trip she took down was the definition of unpleasant. She landed on her butt into a strange cave. Just as she landed, the cave suddenly sprung to life. There were strange sounds, very similar to cries for help, and there were cages throughout the strange place. The site appalled Hakumi. So many innocent creatures trapped inside of cages. WHen the man appeared, Hakumi didn't notice him right away. She didn't acknowledge his presence until he began to speak. When the cage fell on her, trapping her, Hakumi didn't know what to do. "Why are you doing this?"

The man listened to the small girls response, and laughed as the little girl had been caught in one of his cages, and that fact only added to his humor. “What am I doing? My my you’re a slow little girlie aren’t ya?” The man then dropped down and pulled out a massive sword, One edge of the sword was very jagged, and various places were rusted showing the mistreatment the blade had seen over the years. “Well, as you were the newbie poacher who brought me such lovely gifts I will share with ya, I am Norakai! Greatest Poacher in all of Earthland!” He then hobbled over to her examining the contents of the cage, “After I dispose of you I will finally be able to bring in a good haul… hmmm what is this..?” He then noticed the emblem on the back of her right hand as the Lamia Scale Guild Emblem, “Wait a minute! You’re a Legal mage from Lamia Scale! Crud!” He then ran off to the side and around the corner of some cages out of sight however his voice echoed back, “I gotta get packin! If he is here I am in trouble, I just gotta get my haul onto the ship!”

Though she asked the question, she was sure of why he was doing what he was, she just needed to confirm her suspicions, and his response did just that. "Poacher?" She said. "I am no poacher!" SHe looked at the man angrily. she did not appreciate his false accusations. Once the man walked away, Hakumi attempted to escape the cage. She rattled it, banged on it, and even tried unlocking it. She didn't get out until she decided to use her magic. She didn't want to let the man get away with trapping all of those creatures. She crawled out of the cage and began to free the creatures, all of the very rare. The man had the intentions of selling them. With herself being there, Hakumi was sure that he wouldn't be able to capture them a second time. Once she freed all of the animals, she began to go after the man. She grabbed a torch and ran in the direction he left her sight in.

The cliffside hanger was still occupied by the magic blimp Norakai always used in his business ventures. It was relatively barren due to his inability to load up his ship… however he would never of gotten the chance. The moment Hakumi would enter into the hanger she would find a rather chilling sight… The entire hanger had been frozen over with pure white Ice, and the blimp itself had a large hole blown through it… Norakai was standing at the gangplank completely frozen over in ice, and next to him, was Kihia… “It would seem I finally caught up with you Norakai… Your days of crime have finally come to a close…”

Hakumi quickly entered the hangar, seeing nothing but ice upon entrance. She didn't what on Earth could have caused it, but then her eyes averted to the side, and she saw Kihia standing next to a frozen Norakai. "Oh my, what happened here? Did you know that this would happen?" Hakumi said jokingly. SHe was ceratin that he knew it would happen, after all, he did plan the exam himself. She wasn't sure what the lesson she was to learn was yet. She had a few more steps to go before she found that out. SHe had never seen Kihia fight before, so to see the extremity of the frozen area was quite surprising. She knew he was the guildmaster, but she didn't think that he was a stone "cold" bad ass. He had proved hwy he was the guild master, and why she was in the middle of being tested for a higher rank. She wasn't sure what his next test would be, if there even would be one, but she knew it wouldn't be easy.
She never expected any of it to be easy, and it certainly wasn't, especially dealing with teh turn of events that took place. She certainly wasn't expecting to find a poacher, let alone see so many captured animals. His crime was at high, and Kihia had put a stop to him, and from his words, it seemed like Kihia had been looking for this man for a while. That gave Hakumi the thought that she helped him find someone he hadn't be able to find, which made her feel happy. THe fact that she was able to help her guildmaster, the person that leads her.
