THE ALVAREZ EMPIRE

Alvarez Empire was founded at an unspecified time period by the King of Solomon, who subjugated 730 guilds of Alakitasia by martial force and crowned himself Emperor. It started out as a small nation but over the years it absorbed many other guilds and nations until it finally became the huge empire that it is today. Solomon created this empire for the sole purpose of finding those that would prove to help him in his expedition of peace and "The One Magic". Later on he ended up disappearing, leaving his Queen alone whom eventually was killed by an unknown but dark organization; causing one of Solomon's most trusted friend's to take the throne. Now in present day, it is that friend's descendants that lead the empire; a king, a queen and three princes.
An organization, by the name of Al-Thamen is associated with this empire; working in their financial affairs and a variety of other things. Though they have been suspected as "evil", these assumptions ended up bare with proof, causing for the royality of Alvarez to believe them to be trustworthy. They were even gifted with a strange young boy; white hair and golden eyes, as an oracle to the kingdom by the name of Naizel. He was given a place to stay, and treated greatly; learning proper manners and how to address others. Although none knew of it, even Naizel himself; he was brought into this world from a long coma-like state by the hands of Al-Thamen. For their wicked intentions of wanting to seek out "The One Magic", they used the boy; experimenting on him in secret and causing his once pure mind to gradually grow dark with hatred for others. Eventually when he found out of whom he really was, and that Al-Thamen had lied to him all this time, his twisted mind pointed fault at even the royalty that had treated him so kindly. Naizel attacked Al-Thamen, the three princes, and fled from Alvarez quickly, eventually finding refuge within the castle of Tartarus; where he lives his days in hiding.

MAGI; All Magi in Alvarez are descendants from the students of Solomon. Not every being in Earthland is capable of magic. The humans in Alvarez that were, took on the emperor's teachings, and only their descendants were versed in the arts of magic. That already made Magis in the empire increasingly rare. Magi is in essence, only the Alvarez name for "mage". There is however, a skill solely restricted to the descendants of the students of Solomon. The ability to "see" Ethernano (Rukh). The Magi of Alvarez are the only ones capable of visualizing magic to the extent to which they do. They see the binary of Ethernano as a river of fluctuating particles. Only Magi are capable of seeing Rukh the way they do. After some time of magical study by the Magi, it was apparent that the way they saw Rukh was only one specific way to perceive Rukh, and not the singular absolute truth to magic. However, they did not walk away from their ways and kept the theories of Solomon as they proved to be consistently applicable.
AL-THAMEN; A split-group of Magi that began to understand that the black Rukh for one consisted of a much more potent variety of magic that amplified destructive and negative effects. They discovered Black Magic as such. Furthermore, they believe that beings that do not hold Rukh are soul-less, and therefore discardable. Al-Thamen, as such, began their own personal search for "The One Magic". The heart of all magic, found inside Black Rukh. Since most of the Magi in this group have died off, they had discovered Naizel (the son of Solomon) and used him from child-birth ever since. Al-Thamen never liked Solomon because his outlooks on life were more positive than negative, although their dark personalities changed his son to somebody just as wicked as them. They believed if they used Naizel because of his ability to see rukh, that it would guide him towards "The One Magic", like it had done to his father.
RUKH; Rukh, could just be Ethernano. It's just the origin of magic, the energy itself. The Magi of Alvarez understand it in a specific way. Namely as the home of souls. All mages in Earthland have the inherent Rukh inside them (the energy that makes them "able") return to the ever-present flow of Rukh. That is why Magi perceive Rukh as the soul of beings because it is the place you go after you pass away. Rukh also has different ways of describing people and the magic that is being used depending on the colour it presents.

He was one of the first people to understand what "Ethernano" was, and named it "Rukh". He perceived it as an overall binary. Namely, that there is white Rukh and black Rukh, and both types can be used in a multitude of different ways, some crossing over (e.g. in terms of elemental magic, which would relate to holy and demonic magic as is present in our current universe), and there were some things strictly reserved for one type of Rukh. Solomon was on a journey to find "The One Magic", something that sparked his interested despite him being urged to stay in the Kingdom. After all he was in love with the King's daughter as she was in love with him as-well, pregnant with his future son. Despite this he left with the guidance of Rukh to find "The One Magic", only to never return since.
