The Cosplay Cafe~Solo Job

Ivy walked around the town of crocus, where she was supposed to be working a job today. She didn't know why she took this job, considering Nunzia would flip out if she found out that she was working around creepy pedophilic old men. Ivy sighed, and walked into the cafe, where no one expected her to be a worker. She skipped through, finding the door that said "manager" and kicked it open, attracting a lot of attention. "I'm here to do a job!" she said out as she shut the door behind her, inaudable to those outside the room now. The supervisor raised an eyebrow, it was a man in probably his late 20s early 30s. He spoke up. "Sorry hon' this job is for older women or mages. I assume you aren't a mage, so if you need money ask your mom to-" he was cut off by three large wind blades passing by his face not to harm but to scare. Ivy now had a completely pissed off look on her face. "I am a mage. And I can do this job. And first thing is first NEVER talk about my mom." The man nodded his head and gestured to a room. It had costumes for some sort of costume party, considering the worker's outfits had their own closets. "Choose a costume. You won't get a classic worker's outfit because that would be licensed as child pornography... And none would fit you anyway."

Ivy entered the closet, finding various different costumes and sizes. Some were little like a baby, some were fully adult sized, and none were as skimpy and skanky as the waitresses that Ivy found when walking in the establishment. She couldn't wait to find a really cute costume however, because she wasn't one to get embarrassed that easily. She was just scared... Scared of her maid that could lash out whenever Ivy did something wrong. Sure Ivy had the power to kill her maid at any time, but Ivy dealt with her because of her love for her "sister." So she left the closet wearing a little red riding hood costume, the hood covering her pink hair but not her face. She even had a basket aside her, which Ivy thought was nice. The supervisor shooed her away and Ivy dashed out, well moreso skipped out. When she exited she immediately attracted all the attention, and could hear a few whispers about perversion and child labor. This mattered not to her, for Ivy was ready to do this. And just as fast as she was ready Ivy recieved her first order.

Ivy went up to a few teenagers who waved their hands at her. One of them laughed when Ivy approached, with her cute smile and happy face, paired up with her costume. One of them went and asked a question that Ivy didn't really get.

"Hey Little Red, I know you're normally the one delivering cookies but if you hook up with me I'll make sure my cookies are perfect for you to eat~..." This one got a punch to the arm from his friend, and a comment about how Ivy was a child. "Hey man it was only a joke."

Ivy however was trying to figure this out. "What do you mean? All cookies are great, why are yours so good? Are they chocolate chip? Can I have some?" Ivy never got the point of pick up lines, and took things related to love quite seriously. She was a child, what would one expect?

The boy sighed. "Never mind. Just get me a coffee." Ivy wrote it down, and skipped over to the counter where she put it on a metal spike. Ivy then skipped over to a group of kids, who seemed to be at a party or something.

"Hey you work here? You should join us!"

"No... Sorry! I would love to but I gotta work. What do you want?"

A kid began to speak for the rest. "Well all have coffees. No wait I want a coffee and every one else wants hot cocoa. Wait no make it two hot cocoas and one coffee and one ice tea. That's what we want."

Ivy scribbled out each order each time, getting more and more frustrated and then stormed off, putting the order on the spike. Ivy returned to the boys with their coffees, and the one from before continued making comments.

"So is your grandma where you get your looks from, Little Red? If so I'll deliver cookies to you once you get older~" Ivy again looked at them blankly. "I'd love some cookies! But I never knew my grandma... So sorry I can't answer!" the boy sighed.

Ivy went off to the counter, grabbing the drinks for the kids. When she got there other kids were seated, giving more reason for Ivy to believe it was a party of sorts. She went up to them, and they immediately began to speak. "Hey I want a juice!"

"I want a soda! A cola!"

"I want some ice tea!"

"Get me a blue slushy!"

Ivy wrote down the four orders, then growled when one of the kids began speaking again. "Uhm now I want a blue slushy!" Ivy scribbled off "cola" and replaced it with blue slushy, then went off to put the order on the spike. She looked up at the clock, it was nowhere near closing time. And this would be hard....

So after a couple minutes Ivy got the four drinks, then went back to speak with the people behind the counter. "May I have a lemonade? I'm thirstyyyyyy" Ivy drawled out. The man shook his head, and said it was for customers only, and then shooed Ivy off to return to her job.

Ivy continued working on the different orders. There seemed to be a recurring theme of teens at this establishment, because most of the seats were filled with them. Ivy went up to a group of three boys again, whom were each on computers. One spoke for the rest just like before.

"Hey we'll all have just a doughnut and a cappuccino and- HEEEEY~" the kid looked up at Ivy from his computer screen. "You're so adorable! With your Little Red costume I could just pinch your cheeks! Did you fall on the cuteness tree and hit every branch down?" The other boys laughed, and the one waved his hand dissmissively at them and looked at a confused Ivy. "I've flew through trees before, never down them! But I'll let you know when I do!" she skipped off to the counter, put the order down and went over to another table.

The next table were three teenaged girls. One of them turned to another, saying to her "Hey I dare you to do a pick up line on this little girl." The other replied with "Pay for my meal and it's a deal." The other girl nodded and they waved to Ivy.

"Hey I'll get you something. Watchya want?"

"Get us each a muffin. One banana, one blueberry, and one chocolate chip." The girl nodded her head, while Ivy wrote it down.

"Also hey girl, you're so hot you're causing global warming!" The three of them bursted into laughter, and one of the girls who didn't talk gave the ordering girl enough money to buy the muffin. Ivy raised an eyebrow. "I don't use heat or fire magic... I use wind magic. Do you want me to cool you down?" The three girls continued to laugh, and Ivy just went back to the counter, placed the order and took the three doughnuts and drinks for the previous three. Ivy gave them their drinks and food then returned back after a few minutes, then gave the three girls their foods.

This job was not only long. It was confusing Ivy beyond all recognition.

The next few tables went by swimmingly. She breezed through the next group of teens, they again did the strange pick up lines in which Ivy didn't understand, and one last table was another one from the kids party. They asked for a million things just to piss Ivy off, but she managed to get through with them. What Ivy didn't know was how difficult and persistent this man would be.

Ivy went over to a young man, whom flagged her over and asked for a soda. She complied, and as she turned around she saw what he was doing. Of course she couldn't physically see behind her but she had the ability to "see" through her surroundings as long as they were within air. He stared at her intently while she walked away, although Ivy couldn't make out his distinct facial features but his body felt as though it was facing her direction, which was just downright weird. Although Ivy didn't mind, she was getting payed to do something and that was it.

Ivy returned to the man, who was on a computer.

"Here's your drink sir!"

"I'd like to give you a drink~...." The man gave Ivy a weird look, and Ivy began to feel uncomfortable. "Uhm okay sir... I'll be over there okay?" she turned around and went to go wait some other tables, until she heard a splash on the ground. She felt it come from the area where the man was, and "saw" as it happened. He was typing and spilled his soda on the ground, and he waved for Ivy to come over.

"Yes sir?" Ivy asked with a sigh.

"You need to clean it up, right?" Ivy looked at him questionably.

"No I don't, I'm just a waitress..." She saw the other cleaning people on duty, so she decided to help them out. "But I'll get right on it!" she ran away to get a mop, bucket, and broom and dustpan. Soon she returned with the supplies, and quickly cleaned up the mess as quick as possible.

Ivy, after having cleaned up the mess now began to walk away, until the man called her back over. "Little Reeeed~!" Frustration began to embark over Ivy as she returned to him. She found a to-go bag on the floor.

"I dropped my doughnut, can you pick it up?" Ivy nodded with her fists balled, and bent over to pick up the bag, and then matters turned for the worse. The hem of Ivy's skirt was lifted up, exposing her underwear to the man. Ivy blushed deeply and snatched the fabric away from the man, letting it fall to slack at her legs as it was. "Y-YOU!!! DI-" Ivy was going to tell the man to die, and probably use her magic to destroy him along with this whole establishment. However this was a problem, because what would her guildmates think of Ivy? She failed a job just for hurting someone? Ivy calmed herself, and squatted to pick up the bag, finding as it had no more than a napkin in it. Son of a-!!!!

Ivy began to walk away from the pedophile and with her fists balled up, that's what Ivy did. She walked away, feeling a smack to her butt as she did from the man. Nunzia, her parent figure / "older sister" had always said not to let anyone touch Ivy in strange ways like that, and especially not for money. And.... Well this is exactly what was happening. Ivy sighed and continued to work, until the man called over once more. Ivy screamed inside herself. This was the reason she had nightmares, and how her Fear Zone built up. The rotting world filled with people like this, with no purpose in life! Ivy wrote down his order. "I want a pretzel stick. That's all." Ivy wrote it and returned with a pretzel stick moments later. "Here, it's a present for my behavior before." Ivy was handed the pretzel stick. Not seeing anything wrong with it, as she just had given him the pretzel stick Ivy began eating it, slowly taking bites of it while the man whispered something out and had a devastating weird smile. Ivy didn't understand the joke, but it was clear the man did. So Ivy threw away the pretzel stick, and ran off.

Ivy walked away and was stopped by the man, whom gave her a large tip. "You've made my day, so here you go." The man gave her a total of 50 Jewles, which ivy thought was really generous, even for a pervert like himself. Ivy went back over to a group of three, whom just like the others all tried hitting on her. Ivy stood there looking like she didn't know anything about what they were saying, and then took their orders. This shop was really a recurring record, just doing the same thing over and over. Ivy didn't like it, she didn't like being hit on by weirdos and she definitely didn't like that creepy man, nor those children. Ivy despised working only by walking back and forth giving people food and drink, and nothing else. Ivy craved something more, Ivy craved danger. But this job wouldn't let her have any of that, so she dealt with it, Ivy went back to the little party, as eight more children wanted food and drink. Ivy went through another fifteen minutes of what they wanted, then went over to the spike and once again got called over. Why are none of the other waitresses being called!

Ivy looked at the time. It was almost closing time! The supervisor manager man said ten minutes left, so get as many orders as possible in. Ivy dashed over to another kids table, as they apparently were going to savor the taste of Ivy working until the very last moment, so that she did. The kids this time seemed intentional to bug Ivy, or at least distract her. Some of the other kids went behind Ivy's eyesight, and began to creep away without trying to pay. The kids that served as distractions continued to change their order, wanting more wanting less wanting this wanting that. What the kids didn't know was that Ivy has eyes everywhere, and she was watching them... Or moreso feeling them walk away. So she planned a trap, for a dome of wind appeared around the kids that were trying to walk away and Ivy called over a cook, whom seemed very pissed off with the kids. The kids eventually gave up knowing that they weren't getting out so long as Ivy held up the spell, so once Ivy released it the kids payed for their meals.

The hours were just about over. After the thieving kids payed for their meals they left the cafe, and Ivy sat in front of the clock waiting for the minute hand to strike twelve. It seemed so close, yet so far and Ivy was forced to do a few more tables. Of course many people were leaving the establisment, but there were those that wanted to stay until the very end and enjoy this place to its fullest. How anyone can enjoy this perverse, peep show of an establishment was beyond Ivy, but all people have their own interests and Ivy could do nothing about that. So she went and gave a few people doughnuts, some coffees to go, and collected the payments for said food. Ivy was about done with this place, and almost felt like just completely demolishing it entirely. It wasn't like she couldn't, the entire cafe would be gone in about 30 seconds tops, but Ivy knew that she wouldn't get paid if she did. The young girl was about to burst from anger that the clock went so slow, until she finally heard the final stroke of the clock, which signified this dastardly job was officially over.

Ivy krept up into the manager's office, to collect her pay.

"Well you made it through the day. You may keep any tip you recieved and you may keep the outfit you have on right now, and here is your pay." Ivy watched as he dropped a bag into his desk, and grabbed it as she went into the changing room she initially went in. Ivy changed back into her regular clothes and dumped the entirety of the Little Red outfit in the trash. All except the hood/cloak, which she kept but just as a blanket to wear during the night. Had she not wanted it for that reason Ivy would have dumped it along with the rest.

Ivy exited the changing room and went outside of the cafe while wearing the hood she newly acquired. Ivy was now off the job, and she knew she could do whatever she wanted. Just to get a little payback, she had a gust of wind burst open and break a glass window on her way out, but there would be no way to trace it to her.
