Lightning fast reflexes... that was all that Brennan's Earth God Slayer Magic lacked. He needed speed in order to be of any competence when fighting people, and there was absolutely no way that Earth God Slayer Magic could acquire that for him. The only way for Brennan to be fast was by learning an entirely new type of magic, one that was fast, not slow like his Earth God Slayer Magic. Brennan sighed, who was he kidding, there was absolutely no way for him to learn for him to learn anything fast, not when the very essence of his magic was slow. So, he just sat on a bench, basking in the sunlight, taking in the glorious view of Magnolia Town. Brennan wondered if there was anyone around here who was capable of teaching him some sort of Speed Magic, preferably something Lightning related so that people would try to use Earth attacks to counter his attacks, which he would be able to consume, being a Slayer and all.
Lightning and Earth would be an interesting synergy, Brennan thought to himself, as he dosed off on the public bench. Brennan was soon startled by a pigeon, which awoke him by sitting on his head and poking it repeatedly. "Stop it Mom!" Brennan muttered to himself, still half-asleep, swatting at his head, but the pigeon wouldn't move. Brennan then shook his head, standing up and flicking the pigeon off of his head, "Get off of me! Stupid thing." Brennan muttered, ripping the pigeon off of his head. Then, it flew away, and Brennan smirked, lying down on the bench again, as he once again dozed off.
