It is odd coming across a mission involving books for one who is practically blind. Though he can still see enough to make out his surroundings vaguely; reading is an impossibility. That being said, finding this mission for himself was slightly difficult. Though not entirely impossible. Asking one of the staff members in the Guild Hall, the Janitor, what the mission was about; Zaltac would review if the request was worth his while- as he plucked the mission off the board without thought:
"Dear mages of youth,
I am in search of a rather old book that I remember reading when I was a child. I adored it everyday, but over the years my copy was destroyed or lost during my travels. To this day, I have not been able to share this wonderful book to my own children, or my grand-children. It was a book past down from my great-great-great-grandfather about the first Hero to stand up against evil. A Hero by the name of Bastian, who tamed the first dragon and ascended up to the heavens to fight against the Dark God Alphonze. I cannot remember how the tale ended, and I am dismayed at my loss of the copy. I do not think there are any copies left of this old book. I believe there is ONE last copy in the Library in the village, somewhere; but my old bones just can't move the way they used too, and I have to prepare the house for their visit. Please, bring it to me.
Sincerely, Alice Ilias."
Though this mission was not really fitting for a warrior, the idea of finding a book about the First Hero did interest him. Though he has heard many tales, the first was something he never thought about. Could it be fiction? Reality? The only way he will be able to tell, is by retrieving this book. If nothing else, it will help pass the time and entertain him if he gets a chance to hear the story out. So, setting out from the Guild Hall, Zaltac set out for Peace village; taking passage on one of the leaving magical public transports. Though he despised the reliance on magic, faster travel DID have its uses. Even he could not remain ignorant about that.
