Escort on a Train (Job)

Magnolia Station..ah the smell of crude and crusty business people living their shitty second rate paper based jobs. To Raiza this was just straight boring "Man...this game would suck if I rolled that kinda charisma check on this kinda shit" he mumbled to himself, ending up in the train station watching and observing the crowd. He noticed where his partner was just by the vague description. Shifting his gaze to a man seeming to cling to dear life to a pole, the youth would sigh.

Approaching from behind, he let out a soft sigh. His red pupil and iris complimented by his black sclera(eye whites) pierced at the man as Raiza looked him. The man looking somewhat intimidated by this would turn away and look towards Bellaria.

"Well I was told you were afraid to get on the train. I dare say right now, thats not your only fear, so lets do us both a favor hm? Get the hell on the train, so I can get paid, and we can take a nice little cozy trip, and you'll never see me again. Two fears in your life will be gotten rid of in one day", a smile revealed razor sharp teeth on the front row, only adding more to his darker appearance trying to intimidate the man. Though he may have gone overboard by not acting himself, and acting more 'kind' to the man. AFter all judge a book by it's cover and you'll never hear the true story within. However a shut book like Raiza could make the cover the best act possible without turning a single page in.

"Sweets for the ride? Does he look like a little girl to you? Men drive from fear, its fear that limits their actions. So fear stops him from riding the train... I say fear should make him start riding it." A wink in the woman's direction showed Raiza was only joking around, since the man wasn't paying an eye gaze towards him. Though Raiza twirled his hand around the hilt of his sword, gently raising it from the sheath only an inch. "Well guy. Go with my partner and she will show you a sweet time with her candy. Or try to remain here, and we'll see how many times I can turn you into a little boy that wets himself in fear from the big bad half demon. hm?" The best good cop, bad cop scenario Raiza could think of at the time. Go to the extreme, while trying to make his partner's option seem the most appealing, even throw in a sex pun to possible get the guy's hopes up only to shoot said hopes in the face when they leave. Or not? just all depended on how much the slut stat his partner had. Though it didn't look like she was anything except someone whom enjoyed candy way too much.

Though one thing struck a nerve. He heard the words 'when they came to this world'. Was this girl like Raiza? A different universe? Naw, can't be, that'd be way too easy. Besides, Raiza himself already believed himself to be in a game, and if he could wager on it. This person in front of him, his partner was an actual player not some AI(npc), which meant they were not accessing any form of sympathy cache'. This was their true story. Which only made Raiza more curious.

Watching the man board the train made Raiza nod. Good job half done, now to finish the job and make sure he doesn't jump the hell off the train and right into his untimely death or the job will be for nothing. The crowd began to dissipate fairly quickly and would leave Belleraria and Raiza to stand there alone waiting to board the train as well.

Though as Raiza coldly looked to his right where Belleraria was, his eyes which had black for where the eye whites were, and his iris and pupil were both the same shade of crimson red. A cracked grin on his face before he opened his mouth to talk, revealing razor sharp teeth. "I can honestly say, nothing is bothering me child" the youth spoke, and was honest about it. Why would someone think something was bothering him? It didn't make sense at all to be honest, he didn't  look or act bothered by the world. Why would he? Hes simply playing the game.

"now, lets finish our job hmm? The job entrails making sure he stays on the damn train. You wanna go in? I can ride on top fairly easily" letting his sword slide back into the sheath as he didn't wait for a response but rather began to walk forward towards the train.

Though one thing he would keep pondering now is why would this girl even care? Raiza was a guildless hand for hire. He typically took various jobs and side jobs as well, such as this. Nothing too good nor bad so his reputation wasn't leaned towards any faction yet, and no one truly knew him. So why care at all?

Heads up:

"I can honestly say, nothing is bothering me child"

Bellaria bit her lip and stared down at her pink flats as he transformation was whisked away to normal clothing. Her boring brown shoes were now what she was fixated on. She knew she had overstepped her bounds, and this was her fear. She'd give it up for now, because she knew further persuing the matter would result in calamity.

She was a bit frightened, really badly actually- no, scratch that, terrified. Although she was taught not to judge a book by its cover, even with just a glimpse of what she saw, was the final bone that broke her confidence. Now she was just that useless little girl that was only just; a foolish little girl.

"now, lets finish our job hmm? The job entrails making sure he stays on the damn train. You wanna go in? I can ride on top fairly easily"

His words shook her out of her stupor, it was a good thing, as the road she was going down was one where light didn't illuminate the path. It was one of path's her mother warned her of; like that novian tale of the girl and the wolf, don't go off the beaten path or the wolf is sure to strike. And in this situation, she knew what the wolf would be. Nova girls had extraordinary emotional powers, which were what fueled their magic. She never knew this for a fact, but was it possible for her to make a Tranzbose? Such a thought shook her to her very core, could she call herself a hero if she creates the thing she's trying to vanquish?

She followed the guy while holding her arms meekly. This was more like it, now she wouldn't make any mistakes, as the nail that sticks out the most, is the one struck down. She didnt complain or make a sound as a stranger stepped on her toe, not even when another stranger cursed at her for being in the way. She let her previous resolve wither away to a force not even strong enough to care that she was being pushed around by the crowd. Yes, this is what it should've been.

A mask of happiness was painted on a gray canvas, worn upon a worn out model. An empty smile danced across her cheeks as she approached the train, waving at the staff that were directing other people onto the locomotive.

"Yea, that sounds like a good idea, i'm not strong enough like you, so i'll just make sure the client is comfortable. Yes, that sounds like a good idea."

Although her voice was cheery, one truly in tune with emotions could glimpse the typhoon of despair ridden in her voice, one caused by her inability, one caused by lack of power, one caused by how useless she really was.

Seeing how terrified the girl had become just by the look he gave. Sadly that was Raiza's "I'm in a good mood" look. See that was the con of being part demon, Half or a Quarter who knows. Maybe less, but he knew the few demonic traits he had made some people hunt him, others run from him while a select few just shrugged it away as if he was normal anyways. Though when a soft sigh escaped his lips, walking up to a stranger whom he noticed from the reflection of the train's window, step on bell's toe and then complain she was in the way. This was Raiza's time to at least show he wasn't a 'bad guy'.

Whisking around to face the man currently confronting Bell. Raiza tightly gripped his shoulder. "I suggest you appologize before I have to fail this job and start running from the authority because I hurt some idiot that was rude to my partner" his words were ice cold as the crowd noticed this, and a conductor began to approach but knew better than to do anything. The man whom saw Raiza's blank cold expression not to mention being well armed with a shield on his back and a sword in his sheath meant the threats were not empty at all.

"S-ssorry Miss" the rude man spoke before darting away through the crowd, allowing Raiza and Bell to board the train if they so desired. Raiza himself would make his way to the same area the client's husband, whom was the man he was escorting would be. Promptly sitting down with a 'plomping' action he sighed. "I'm really not that bad. I just tend to try to use an intimidation since I dont have exactly all the power I'd like to have" he spoke again.

"in fact my partner has more magical power than me" which was true, Raiza didn't unlock any magic yet, so his partner was at a huge advantage over him already.

If Bell were to board the train, the train would begin to take off only a couple minutes later as no more passengers were boarding.

Bellaria was a bit confused, had she been overthinking the whole thing? It didn't matter anyway, maybe she was too fast to judge. She had only glimpsed inside the book but never actually read the words. That was the whole moral of the story and she had completely disregarded it. To say she was mortified from embarrassment was an understatement. She blushed and looked back up at the guy, who was in the middle of chewing out the guy from the station. Bellaria desperatly wanted to chime in saying it wasn't his fault, but her courage wasn't there.

She loathed that pathetic part of herself, the one that gave up during the slightest bit of conflict. Maybe this was what her mother had warned her of, she almost laughed from the irony. There had to be a way to make herself feel good again, and she knew exactly how.

Although she was a tad bit late, the guy seemed quite flustered and distraught, she hated seeing that so she ran over and smiled back up at him.

"No its fine mister, I was just thinking a bit about what color my doll's makeup should be!" This time, she tried to give her one hundred percent into the smile, and indirectly, made her happy. Even if she wasn't happy, she could be happy that other's were. That was the duty of a Nova Girl after all, to protect the multiverse from evil.

"I'm really not that bad. I just tend to try to use an intimidation since I dont have exactly all the power I'd like to have"

Regret filled her like sand, she was in fact too quick to judge. Maybe that was her fatal flaw, deciding on things brashly without logic. She was stupid, so stupid, this guy was probably the nicest in the world, and now she made him feel bad, what kind of superhero did that? This time, she caught herself from travelling down that empty barren path.

She was about to apologize, but the guy spoke up once more.

"in fact my partner has more magical power than me"

Bellaria blushed, that couldn't be true! Maybe they were equal, but that was strecthing it. The possibility that she could have more power in a world rife with magic wasn't possible.  She came from a normal ordinary girl, and lived a normal ordinary life. What he was suggesting was impossible, but if it made him happy to believe so, then she would too.

She laughed slightly before waving her hand in dismissal.

"Oh now that's not true, i-it may b-be temp-p-orarily, but i'm sure he will surpass me."

This was her attempt at true confidence. It may have been pathetic, but as long as she believed in herself, anything was possible, right? That's what her mother told her, so it had to be true. Parents never lie, so all she had to do was believe in herself to make her dreams for the happiness of others come true.

Now that she had ignored the typhoon of emotions inside, all she had to do was please the man who was scurrying away.

"D-don't worry sir! I'm sorry for causing you trouble!" There it was again, that stupid typhoon that always blew her emotions out of whack, essentially raining on her parade. She'd just ignore it for now, it was a normal thing, right?

She smiled back at the guy, whom she was looking at now in a new light. He was just misunderstood, it made perfect sense. He never meant to harm anyone, but people got scared because he might have been a bit frightening, even if it didn't exist, she wanted to vanquish any unwanted emotions from him.

"I'm sorry about before, I'm just a bit anemic today and tried to power through it, i'll get some meat on the train to help. Sorry for causing any trouble and difficulties on your mission!"

Now, her smile was genuine.[/color]

A stern steady look of Raiza turned into a relaxed wanderer after so long. During the train ride he even stared out of the window most of the time, or gave idle chat to random others that commented on him, either good nor bad.

"No its fine. The job required a partnership like ours. Two random strangers one sweet and innocent, and the other to be intimidating. It provided a game balance to the entire thing. Allowing the actions we house to be fluid and wide, allowing us both to work our strengths. Had this man been some brute towards me, it'd of been your sweet and kindness and the whole 'girl tease' act you could have tried to pull to get him to follow." The moment Raiza mentioned that, The guy they were escorting would look away, a small blush on this married grown man, would simply make Raiza crack a snide grin his way. As part demon, Raiza's biggest aspect was his pride, and to see the other sins of the world, only made him amused, it was his form of entertainment.

"Perhaps we can do another job together someday you know?" he commented again, after what seemed like a few hours on the train ride, they would take to a screeching halt. The job was by all means over at this point, though Raiza gave a soft sigh. "And now.. sir, your escort is now over" Raiza chimed, waiting to see the reactions.

She blushed, she would've never been able to pull something like that off, but if worse came to worse, she could try the thing called flirting, although she'd only seen it on tv sitcoms she was allowed to watch back home. Maybe it would've been a good strategy if things had happened the way like he had said. Apparently those words had some sort of effect on the guy they were escorting, as he turned away and blushed. It woudl've been nice to think about guys, but in her current situation, her life was dedicated to vanquishing evil. She had no time for boys, something apparently all girls her age obsessed about. Besides, that guy was way too old for her.

"Perhaps we can do another job together someday you know?"

Bellaria nodded while remaining silent, she'd love to do another quest with the guy, who seemed to have his morals in place. She had no business judging him like that, so the least she could do was be a bit of help on other missions, although probably not a big help at all.

"Yea, that would be great! I found a cool mission about cosplaying and it looks really fun! We can do another one if you're not interested though."

"And now.. sir, your escort is now over"

What was this sense of completion she was feeling? Most of the time she let other people take the glory, so what was this odd emotion? It was really confusing, as she hadn't expected this. Was this what it felt to be proud?

Not even responding to such a pride hurting mission, Raiza turned and weaved through the crowd, eventually concealing and losing himself in it so that he wasn't followed unless some how sensed. Though soon he'd only keep heading further away until he was such a distance the woman defiantly was no longer following him.

"That woman was too nice. A bit sickening but not too bad to be around. uagh cosplay? Really? Dress up as some freak, right? Though for sure I dont know how else we'd do another job together when I didn't even give her any details. Sure we know each other's name, simply by signing up for the job, but wonder if that'll be enough... Fate will tell after all" though at this moment, he didn't even interact enough to truly care, his main thoughts on it was just to go and find a new job somewhere some how. The money would definitely be a huge help for him to start working towards his goals. For now Raiza simply took himself from the area, no longer being in the area(thread)
