Description: A rather uncommon form of magic, Shade involves drawing out and emulating the essence and properties of ghosts, spirits, and other such spectral beings. By utilizing the ectoplasmic power that is known to compose such beings, the user can produce two basic types of spell: tactile and ethereal. Ethereal spells can enhance the user, debilitate their target, and in some cases, deal damage directly to the target's life force. Tactile spells have the power to physically effect the target as well as the surrounding environment while still retaining the amorphous form known to the previously mentioned beings. At the height of its power, this magic can produce spells that combine both tactile and ethereal effects. In Dmitry's case, his spells take on a silver, spectral aura and his pupils begin to glow silver, leaving his irises pitch black.
Strengths:
- Many of its spells pass through objects.
- Versatile due to a wide variety of spells.
- Allows for a vast knowledge of the supernatural.
Weaknesses:
- Buffs can only be used on the caster.
- Lack of defense focused spells.
- Weaker against holy magic.
- Exposes user to beings that may attempt to steal their soul or possess them.

Marksman's Aim:
Description: One of Fiore's legends talks about a great hunter who chased an infamous predator for forty years. The predator brought death with it everywhere it went. It was so fast that all other hunters that had attempted to kill it could not even hit it once. Instead, it feasted on their bodies. The great hunter was the only one who had survived a fight with the beast. During the fight the predator's blood got into his eyes, and as if dark magic had something to do with it, his eyes became the eyes of the beast and a strange rush of adrenaline went through his body. Both escaped the fight with serious wounds, but survived. Thirty-eight years the hunter finally stuck an arrow through the beast's skull. According to the legend, he used the eyes and blood-rush of the the monster to gain incredible aim and accuracy, unlike any other man. Which is why he was able to kill it. It is only now that historians made the link between other hunters in history, and even in modern times, of equal reputation and the great hunter by retracing their bloodlines back to the great hunter himself.
Ability: One of the user's attacks cannot miss and home in for a post when used. They can still be blocked. The user also has a passive effect of improved sight, being able to see twice as far as other people, and incredible natural aim.
Usage: Duration: 1 spell used in a post. Cool-down: 5 posts and can only be used 2 times per post. Passive sight/aim.
Unique Abilities:
Natural Medium - Having been born with the power to sense the supernatural, Dmitry can feel the presence of metaphysical beings as well as demons, angels, and other such otherworlds creatures.
Acquired Taste - Due to his experience dealing with such things, this wizard has a 25% resistance to spirit and ghost type attacks or spells.
Curse Eater - Another result of his constant exposure to the supernatural, he has built a 25% resistance to status ailments and debuffs.
Ghastly Shell - A result of practicing this magic for an extended period of time, the user of this magic possesses a light spiritual membrane around their body. While it does nothing to stop non-magic based attacks, it will absorb up to 60 hp of spell damage before breaking down and taking 5 posts to recharge. Some spells also utilize this membrane, requiring to recharge as well.

Description: A simple spell, caster temporarily embodies the properties of a shade and is transported to another location, passing through any object or spell in their path.
Strengths:
- Can close a gap between caster and opponent.
- Useful in avoiding attacks.
Weaknesses:
- Spell is negated by holy magic.
- While difficult, this path can be tracked by a well trained eye.
- Should they not fully pass through an object before the spell ends, it will be lodges in caster's body.

Description: One of the ghastlier displays of Shade Magic, this tactile spells creates a ghost-like extension of the caster's forearm. Any attack, either by strike or throw, will amount to the caster's rank in damage. Size of extended hand is 50% larger than the original for every rank above D. (Example: B = 100% larger)
Strengths:
- Can retrieve both objects and people at a distance.
- Can be used for attacks at range.
Weaknesses:
- Can be used to pull the caster as well.
- Dmitry can feel anything done to the extended hand.
- Contact with holy magic will cause extended limb to immediately dissipate.

Description: User causes Ghastly Shell to detonate, creating a 30 meter blast in all directions. This blast is ethereal, causing 10 hp of damage directly to the targets life force. It also has a tendency to briefly interfere with technology such as cameras, lights, and communicators.
Strengths:
- Primarily used to cause opponents to flinch.
Weaknesses:
- Forces Ghastly Shell into recharge.
- Does nothing to push targets back.

- Forces Ghastly Shell to recharge.

- Holy type targets are only slowed by 20%.
