I'm Kinda Back?

First and foremost, this is Kichi.

As you may know, I left Aedre with a job to inform you all that I would be leaving this site for good. Well, I had a slight change of heart. You see, I thought about this character whose account I'm using to post this thread, and asked myself "Couldn't he be of some use...even momentarily?" Perhaps the answer to that is yes, and I hope it is. Here's why:

This site needs an event for the Magic Council, does it not? The Inner Circle still has not done much lately, and perhaps because their second seat (me) has been away, which sucks, honestly. Thankfully, I managed to make the most of my opportunities, and construct an ideal schedule for myself from now, until university starts (September 14th). During my time in university, it will be rather impossible for me to go online during Monday and Thursday. Tuesday is not as busy, though I prefer to use that as a study day when the time comes. Wednesday, I only have an hour of school, while Fridays I have off. You may be asking yourself now why I have just given you a summary of my future university schedule. Well, here I go with another story:

I am giving myself back to this site specifically for supporting the Magic Council and their activity. They must do more, and I am here to help. I know long absences often lead to the removal of special positions like this one, but trust me when I say I should definitely be an exception. My absence was forced. There was nothing I could do about it. I was scared, family issues were flooding my daily routines, university preparations were worrying me, and job opportunities were making me miserable- even now, there is not much to gain; everything is taken. Luckily, there is an escape route I have discovered for this mess, and that is to commit to a work-study program. That's right! This September, until the end of April, I will be working for the university I attend, which will limit my time again, but I'm sure I will still be able to fit nights in for this site.

Onto the family issues:

My family (including aunts, uncles, cousins, and second-cousins included) and I have a close relationship with each other. We visit each other weekly, and make the most of the times we share. Well, I have barely been able to do that lately, and they have gotten rather mad at me for it because I have set them aside for selfish purposes. To regain that respect, I started visiting them a lot more often than others in my family have (which obviously cost me a crazy amount of time). After several encounters, we figured travelling so frequently was too expensive for me, and so we just organized a huge family reunion, instead. Our system for seeing each other has changed since then, and now I only visit my big family once every other week. To you, this is beneficial because I now have more time on my hands.

Onto the university issues:

I have just been working my butt off for this, truthfully. The program I'm taking is an honours specialization for Law, and the work frightens me. I almost have to ace every course given to me, which is why even now, I research the classes I have enrolled myself in. This is the mindset of an optimistic freshman, ladies and gentlemen. I need incredible grades so I can get into an awesome law firm when I grow up, and so I required a lot of focus. Thankfully, I found myself some very experienced tutors for a cheap cost, which somewhat settles that issue.

Onto job issues:

Do not move to Canada if you are looking for part-time jobs please. I have been researching jobs for months, yet I have no luck so far aside from the work-study program I was accepted for somehow.

This site has meant a lot to me for over a year now, so please let me keep my position. I am willing to make the best of the council for you guys so you people have one more group to look up to while role-playing here: a better experience. For those of you who knew me as Kichi, you know my goal on this site was to simply make others happy, so give me that chance. I know staff will probably have to discuss these matters, but the effort surely counts.

Everything aside, I am back, but just for the Magic Council. I really do not have the time for any regularly active roles like a legal or even dark Mage. All I want is to return as a helping hand for the Magic Council.

Permanent quits cause removal of positions and ranks and pretty much everything.
Also furthermore we don't even know what we are doing with the magic council currently. It is possible it may become an NPC set of characters that any admin/staff member can use for events and interactions, but other than they won't be much. It could also be that we just let people legitimately rank up to apply for them.

Either way you have basically said you don't have the time and that means you won't be active and positions are determined heavily by activity. The magic council could be an exception to this, but I don't see why it should be.

However, this is just my opinion on the matter and I am willing to listen to other admins, staff or seijin in regards to this.

I am saying that I will be exceptionally active, though not as much as I used to before I had to say my goodbyes last time. It would not make sense to claim that I am returning to the site if I won't be active- that would just be a troll, wouldn't it? I mean, I could try and be active with my other characters, but I am worried about being a let-down in the future in case matters become too busy for me.

On a side note, it is summer where I live; a two-month holiday. I never mentioned anything about what I would do during the summer, so perhaps I will be active with my characters. Never underestimate me please and thank you, especially as one who used to role-play with me. You want to see the benefits that could come from me returning as a member of the MC? Well, here I go:

1) Motivation- The Inner Circle has been inactive for a really long time, so I'm assuming if they see one person such as I attempting to make the Magic Council a trend, the other seats will surely join in.

2) Events- If I recall, Inner Circle seats were assigned specifically for a certain event(s). If the Magic Council stepped up to the plate for such a thing, imagine what could happen- I am there to lend a hand, of course, so consider that.

3) Loyalty- This site remains active because the members are loyal. When one person role-plays, another person joins in and either starts their own topic, or joins a companion. As I promise you I will remain faithful to my position from the get-go, it should at least inspire those who were eager to get their MCs active to get to making a topic or two. While MCs were made specifically for events, they should at least have some fun in socials too.

4) Look At What I've Been Saying Already- The fact that I'm already aware of what gets the adrenaline rising for this site should give make you consider how much of a benefit I could be to the Magic Council. Every person who ever made a character on this site had something to offer on this site, so why can't I? I was a moderator on this site. I know how to motivate people. I know how to encourage people into improving on this site. And lastly, I know what makes good and bad moments on this site. I've seen both smiles and frowns, after all.

There is a difference between quitting and leaving. Leaving this place means some feeling or action behind the screen has forced you off the site, whereas quitting means you no longer share an interest in the site.

Zack, I surely as hell have the spirit in me to commit to this site, and hopefully make a good difference in it, and you know that. People who have been away for a long time have also fought for their positions back, and have done so successfully with the same passion for FT-RP, so why can't I?

Pardon me for shoving all of this in your face, Zack, but you should know that everything I do has a strong purpose behind it.

Being away for a while and 'quitting' are different.
If you officially quit things are removed. Its a rule on site.
Others who have left have said they are going for a while or have just not posted anything.

However, as you mentioned in your initial post 'I left Aedre with a job to inform you all that I would be leaving this site for good' Which to me is a notice of you quitting.

Also as I said we are considering turning the MC into a purely NPC group. We have not made a decision regarding them. Regardless of your reasons or actions I can't exactly say 'yeah have this spot' if we are going to remove them.

Also, I am regretting putting people into the MC slots rather than letting people legitimately roleplay for them as its caused issues and complaints
