Simon King is, without doubt, a subject whose personality is hard to describe exactly, as he posesses so many traits, both positive and negative, that his general attitude seems to be somewhat confusing. What is clear though, is that perhaps one word would suffice if one wanted to describe what Simon seems at first sight: mad.
The fact that he is an Original Vampire, or, in other words, one of the first vampires to exist and walk on Earthland, makes Simon take a very high position in the hierarchy of vampires, making it so that his status within the Vampire society would be equal to that of a Prince in the normal hierarchy, the one that Earthland itself uses. That said, many would expect Simon to have very high standards, and be extremely formal, well-behaved, and, in short, the type of person that one would expect to be a prince. The attitude his parents, Emilia and Alexander LeBlanc, would expect him to have and urged him to maintain so that he wouldn't shame the blood that he bears. Their sick intents to keep Simon, whose real name is Abel, in the line, naturally caused a great feel of dislike to appear between the LeBlanc elders, and Simon himself, which, on its turn, was one of the reason as to why Simon turned his back on the Vampire community, aside from the insane desire to have fun, and analyze those weird creatures, called humans. While Simon's parents felt utter despair towards the mankind, Simon felt curiosity towards those creatures who, despite not having heightened senses, strength and speed, had survived among the predators for centuries.
Simon seems to have two faces: two different attitudes for different situations. One for the audience, and the other: for himself exclusively. It's like he wears a mask that Simon himself rarely takes off, the mask being the attitude he uses for the audience, with which he is known as Simon King, and his real face being his real attitude, with which one can easily identify him not as Simon King, but Abel LeBlanc, the real face of the man who calls himself the King of Vampires. When Simon wear his "mask", he seems to be a normal teenager: awfully cheerful, seeming to be always happy regardless of the situation; incredibly flirtatious, showing interest in every single female that is attractive enough and covers his high standards; goofy, for he never really stops joking around with people and laughing, something that often causes people to get annoyed by him and want to kick him out of the room. At first sight, one could easily see him as a normal teenager, not a dark mage, certainly not an elder vampire, just a simple teenager. And this is where Simon's real face steps in, the real Simon, Abel.
Simon's real attitude, the one he developed since he was "born", when he went around the world under the name of Abel LeBlanc, his real name, is almost the same as the attitude he has as Simon, but much, much more twisted and complex than his mask. He rarely reveals his real face to humans, even to his guildmates, and only some traits of it are visible, and only in battle, but that does not change the fact that his real attitude makes it seem as if he is an entirely different person. Always walking around with a creepy happy smile, Abel is much more twisted, and considering Simon himself is twisted, then as Abel he is repulsively twisted. Cold, evil, cruel, and sadistic, those are pretty much the words that describe Abel best. The suffering of his enemies makes his day, he enjoys seeing people suffer, he enjoys consuming their blood and seeing the horror in their eyes after he is done with them, he enjoys planning how to destroy others, not help them. Abel is the type of man one would not want to be the enemy of, nor friend of, he's the type of person that one would just want to remain on the good side of, so to avoid dying in the hands of Abel. Aside from that, Abel, and even Simon, is incredibly arrogant, narcisisstic, an incredible egocentric, selfish and very egoistical.
While in battle, Simon is ruthless, always playing with his enemies before disposing of them completely, once he gets bored of toying with them. He would always attempt to take the leader position when in a team, only because he enjoys ruling like no other. Power, being the boss of others, that Simon enjoys to a whole new extent. As a leader, he will make sure everyone follows his orders, no matter what, and the first one to disobey will have to donate unwillingly some of his blood to Simon's cause, which is, of course, to sedate his thirst for blood. Under someone else's leadership, however, Simon will most likely be as disrespectful as possible, and follow his own orders: for the arrogant little prick considers himself the best, his decisions the greatest, and therefore only listens to himself.
Likes:
☣ Pretty Women: Simon is a very flirtatious individual. He enjoys female company, regardless of the race of the female at hand. Be it a vampire, a human, or even a kitsune, it does not matter to Simon at all. All he wants, all he desires, is to spend some time with the woman that caught his interest, try to win her over, and perhaps, break her heart, if he loses his interest in her fast enough because she is unlike him, or because she is too easy for him.
☣ Leadership: Oh, Simon adores leadership! A side effect from being a prince of sorts in the vampire society, Simon has gotten quite addicted to the feeling of leading, and that feeling has accompanied him to the human rule, making him want to rule, to lead people, to be a leader. The feeling when there are humans under his control, when there are people that obey him, is unrivaled by anything.
☣ Having Fun: Another addiction of Simon's. The vampire just adores having fun. Anything related to fun, anything humans describe fun, is his drug, his addiction. Going to parties, flirting with women, drinking, fighting... Simon could never stop doing these things. His eternal life would seem entirely too boring.
Dislikes:
☣ Boring people: Ooooh, the typical salty, boring people, who simply cannot enjoy life, or dislike doing fun things. Those people should not exist, simply! The typical party poopers are the type of people that Simon dislikes more than anything. People who refuse to have fun seem entirely too boring for him to stand, and not worthy to befriend. Salty people like them should remain alone. Forever.
☣ Sunlight: Oh, sunlight. The natural enemy of all vampires. Its rays, which the humans adore, burns Simon's skin, they make him look and feel weak, as a simple light ray can burn him and make him seem a failure, someone who is incredibly week. Why should the sun exist? Why should solar mages exist? The universe seemingly hates vampires.
☣ Religion: Another thing that seemed to be done expressively against Vampires. In many religions, vampires are described as evil, vile creatures, that should be exterminated by using garlic, crosses, getting wooden sticks stuck in their heart... Annoying. Just annoying. To begin with, garlic? It does not even affect vampires. It stinks. That's all. Crosses? Simple and ridiculous. And, come on, killing by impaling someone with a wooden stick in the heart. Just how medieval and grotesque is that? Besides, why believe in something one does not see? Simon has always considered humans stupid creatures for believing in a God they cannot see, nor have any proof of his existence.
Motivations:
☣ Desire to Rule: Same as above, in the likes. Simon was born as a prince, and for all the centuries he has lives, he has gotten addicted to the feeling of ruling, of having people obey his orders without questioning them, of being the leader, the respected one. This feeling has never abandoned him, and this addiction would never dissapear, it would never go away. In consequence of that, Simon desires to rule in Earthland like he would in the vampire rule, to have humans, to have mankind obey him without questioning his reasoning.
☣ Desire to understand mankind: Simon has always enjoyed observing humans and studying their progress through the years, how they had survived against the predators without any type of heightened senses or stats. How they discovered magic alone and made it evolve has always fascinated Simon, yet he has never understood neither humans, nor their traditions, attitude, their way to think. This is why Simon moved from his comfortable throne in the Vampire society to the Human world, with the desire to have fun among humans and understand them, at last, see how they work and how they think, understand their way to think.
☣ Desire to obtain knowledge: Simon has always been a curious individual, with the never ceasing desire to know it all, to possess all the knowledge, to be wise. This desire of his has led him to deciding to dedicate his life in analyzing and seeking knowledge of the other races, of the world, the universe, while having fun, of course.
Fears:
☣ Death: The unknown. The impossible. Vampires, mostly Originals, are mighty creatures, entities that roam the earth and are hard to kill, or are supposed to be. Simon has always accepted that as a fact. Yet now, that he has set foot in a place different than his home, seeing how the other races have progressed and how powerful they have turned, Simon finally has grown to fear for his life, for the lives of his kind, for seeing the unleashed power of some humans, he fears that it may be turned against him, and end his eternal life before he could obtain all the knowledge he desires, before he can find someone that can stay by his side forever, before he settles his life.
☣ Failure: Simon is prideful. Arrogant. And has a very, very big ego. He fears failing, proving to others he is weak. He hates losing and coming forth as the losing side, as the weaker mage, as the weaker vampire. A loss, a failure is a huge blow on his ego, and could make him break down, make his world fall apart, as it would cause him to ask himself if he is as strong as he considers himself, as worthy to be the vampire prince, as worthy as he considers himself to be the King.
☣ Sunlight: Another thing Simon both dislikes and fears, is, none less, than sunlight itself. It burns him, it can kill him, it can end his eternal life forever. Simon does not want to die, as stated before, and sunlight can easily kill him. The rest is simply obvious.

Simon is a tall, pale, lean individual, that, despite not looking muscular or athletic at all, is naturally strong, due to his vampire origins. Dirty blonde locks fall until his neck, always messy, as Simon rarely bothers to even try and comb it down. What is the point? It will be messy again in a few minutes: so it's better to leave it this way. Long eyelashes adorn his eyes, his scarlet red snake-like irises always looking at the adversary with a hint of arrogance and disdain. Simon's outfit rarely changes, as he dislikes following fashion, or anything like that. The vampire has his own style, and enjoys staying with it. His outfit, regardless where he is, mainly consists out of a pair of jeans, converse shoes, a grey-ish T-shirt with a black sweater above, the hoodie attached to it almost always on his head.
