”A passport, eh?” Requin muttered to himself as he looked over a sliver of paper that sat in his hand. He had asked around to some of the faceless guild members of Basilisk fang, asking what he could get to minimize the hassles he’d have to deal with in the long run. One of them happened to be a passport. It would be easy enough to get one of those.
The night fell as Requin, sat against the wall of a cloaked alley. His eyes skimming the crowd of people that were coming from the office that handed out the many passports, waiting to see someone who looked just right to snatch up so that he’d be able to ‘obtain’ one. His plan? Well, despite it being a horrible one, Requin had it in his mind to just snatch up a legal guild member, and steal theirs. It worked for him so far with how he wanted to do things. May it be getting food, or money.
A few more hours passed by as he watched with constant vigilance as he noticed a happy, and joyful girl to slip from the office. She was the last one for the day, and no one seemed to be with her. From Requin’s back, 6 tendrils slipped from around his spinal column. They were a frightening Dark green with highlights of red that seemed to resemble veins. They coiled out their 20 meters, and hovered just behind him as his teeth began to click, creating a beat in his mind. 4 clicks, 4 seconds. A standard time. ’Time to play.’ From the alley to the wall across from it was about 10 meters, giving him 20 meters to play with, which perfect. As what looked like, a 12 year old girl slipped past him, one tendril lashed from the darkened alley, and wrapped securely around ankle before quickly jerking her back into alley. She didn’t even have time to scream as she was engulfed in the darkness.
Requin stared at the female as another tentacle came up, and wrapped around her mouth, ensure she was silent as he reached up, and took the passport from her. He quickly flicked it up, and read over the name. ”Hrm. Nightshade, Eclipse Soul. Age 13, and no known magic?” He read off to her with a sigh as he then took the passport to slip into his jacket. ”This is where the normal bad guy would tell you to go home, and pretend this never happened. Perhaps go get a new passport later, say you lost it.” He said with a dark voice. It was smooth, yes, but it was bold and dripped with what someone could only say was a promise of pain. ”Lucky for you, I’m not the normal bad guy.”
Her eyes changed some, the seemed to soften at first, assuming that he was just going to let her good, before she felt something that should’ve made her scream. He had taken another one of his tentacles, and thinned it out before shoving it up through her nose, and through her sinus canals till he reached her brain. [color=Maroon]”Oh, you’re still alive, but how does it feel to know that I’m about to be scrambling your brain? It feels interesting, all squishy. It’s funny how this vital organism is responsible for the entire body, right? Anyways you’ll never have nightmares about me young woman…BECAUSE YOU’LL BE PART OF ME!” He screamed as he removed his tentacle from her brain, removing her hope that her death would be quick before the one that wrapped around her face quickly coiled.
The alley would then be bathed in red as her blood and brain matter splattered against the walls from her crushing her head. Suddenly a thump was head as he dropped her body. ”You don’t look tasty. I’ll leave you here…though I should do something…” Requin muttered to himself before taking a bit of glass that was laying about to the girls body. All over were the same repeating lines that were etched into the skin of her body. ”I’m back. The Nightshade is coming for you all.” While the name Nightshade was taken from the girl, it seemed like a good alias for now. The Nightshade? It had a nice ring to it.
