The woman took a deep sigh, and while her smile lightened, it didn't disappear. "I had expected that answer," and that's when her smile disappeared. "We should avoid wasting as much time as possible, so, I'll attempt to explain this quickly." she stuck her sword to the ground, like a knight would in front of their king. "I am not an actual physical body. I am a spirit - an entity. My physical body has long since decayed, but this is how the universe remembered me, so I am allowed to look as so." she took a brief pause, looking at the Excalibur that the Prince of Hell would wield. "This particular Excalibur that I have is a mere memory. It is how I remembered the blade, and since the universe has remembered me as such, it also remembers the blade I once held. It's a true Excalibur, but only the memory of it. It's not the physical embodiment."
The Fallen God Slayer nodded, and was able to believe the story. He truly did get the impression this woman was who she said she was, based off of the mere aura she gave off by being near her, and the fact that Excalibur looked and felt exactly like the one he had. "...I'll believe you.", Ayeseru stated blankly. "However, that still doesn't answer why I'm here." She sighed deeply, just like Ayeseru would. "I suspected as much. Allow me to explain this really quickly. Stand back."
He rose from the damp, cold ground, which was still so dark he could barely see. In the process, his sword fell from his hand... Even though he could've sworn he had a firm grip on it. Artoria instantly dashed forward, and used her own blade to strike... Excalibur?! There was a bright, shining light when the two blades clashed, and it took only a few mere seconds before... His Excalibur was destroyed; fragments flew in the air like glitter, all around Ayeseru. His eyes widened, but before he could attack the woman, something was... Stopping him? He couldn't explain it, but, he couldn't bring himself up to even clench his fist against Artoria. She looked at him with a serious expression.
"A fake.", she stated, but that didn't calm Ayeseru down. "The blade is a fake. It is not the true, physical Excalibur. It's only a fake memory of Excalibur." Ayeseru grit his teeth. "Explain..." She sighed once more and bonked his head. "That wasn't the real Excalibur. It's only an Excalibur someone remembered... And it was false. That's why I was able to break it! Since you're the next heir to the blade, I'm here to help you get the real one." The Fallen God Slayer was sceptical, but that was the only lead he could go on... And he couldn't really beat the woman to submission due to a strange... Feeling? That would be the best way to call it.
"You better not be lying to me...", he sighed deepy, but then looked at the King with a more serious look. "How do I begin?"
Many thoughts were going through the Prince of Hell's head. He didn't know what to expect, mostly. Was he afraid? Well, he did feel nervous, to say the very least, but being afraid probably wasn't the appropriate word. Not wanting to let anyone down... were the thoughts that went through his head. His life had been so curious he wasn't even sure what to make of it anymore. Perhaps, this opportunity could give him a new start. He could definitely use with one, after all. He felt that at this point, he deserved it.
