Ardere stood at the staircase entrance to what looked to be a cave, even from here he could tell the light was refracting from something. Deciding to not walk all the way up the entrance until his comrades had arrived, he would step back down into the forest. Opening the door would not be wise just yet, considering he was alone, but he had been curious. He assumed due to it being a cave after all, that the substance it was refracting through was a gem or crystal of sorts. Caves such as that were often known to have crystals and gems, some were even worth a decent sum of money. The fire mage was not here for money however, he was he to delve into the depths of the caves and fight what was in it's deepest, darkest caverns. Fortunately he would not traverse this alone, he had been assigned a team. As far as he knew, his team was comprised of mages like himself. He had brought his sword, Clarent to help, and his tattoos were completely visible on both his face and neck.
He was wearing a black button up shit with suspenders, and a white jacket rather than a Rune Knight uniform. In these caves, whatever lurked inside would not care of his allegiance, it would kill him all the same. He knew next to nothing about what lied within, which was why he chose to bring all of his armaments. The flame god slayer was ready for battle, and he would await the arrival of his team. Clutching his sword in his hand, which was normally wrapped in cloth. He chose not to wrap it this time, because being inconspicuous was irrelevant here. Hmm. Whatever he would be facing within these caves, he was of the mindset that he could face it. Caution did not allude him, yet he remained confident in his abilities. Confidence was the key here. Hopefully all of the reading he found himself doing in his spare time would be of worth here.
