Location: Clover Town
Description: Serenity and Hope are local girls from Clover Town who's parents are coming to see them this weekend. The problem is they have been lying to them saying that they both had boyfriends who were mages as they were too ashamed to tell them that they were still single. Instead of telling the truth they've decided to hire wizards to pretend like they are their boyfriends.
Prize: 750 jewels each.

When wizards take on a job, they usually expect that at least some fighting or a challenge. Those, however, were the furthest of things that entered Slade’s mind as he accepted his newest job. He’d just returned from Magnolia and wanted something fun like getting into a brawl. Instead, he… was going to be someone’s date. Even worse, he was going to be someone’s blind date.

“Oh well,” he said to himself as he was slipping on a Hawaiian shirt without buttoning it up, “At least I won’t be alone.”

Thankfully he’d managed to get Zhi to take on the job with him so that he wouldn’t be the only one to go. After he left his hat on a table in their Guild Hall, the young Dragon Slayer headed towards the exit. With his hands in his pockets, he then waited for his Samurai Wing man so they could leave.

How did he let Slade talk him into this one? He tried to find some clothes in his closet that would be good as formal wear, but the only thing he really had was another set of darker armor. He sighed out, slipping into the metallic digs before heading out of his part of the house. The samurai made his way over to the Ace Slayer, who was waiting for him at the entrance of the guild.

"Did you ever figure out what these girls look like, Slade? I don't want to have to deal with some.. ahem.. less than favorable looking ladies, if you catch my drift." It was a little cold hearted for him to say something like that, but if Natalia were to catch him out on the town, he should at least be able to make her jealous and not make her think he just had low standards.

There was a small picture attached to the job poster of what the girls looked like, but Slade didn’t want to share it with his teammate. He wanted to be funny and let Zhi find out instead. A small chuckle escaped from his mouth as he hopped onto the boat to take them across the lake. His laughter, however, didn’t last very long. Once they moved, he fell down and couldn’t move.

One of these days I swear I’m going to get over this.

After they finally reached the mainland, the young Dragon Slayer went to the bar that the girls were waiting for them. Slade then spotted the girls and chose one of them before his Guild Mate even had a chance to. His choice was a blond girl who looked to be about his age and looked so beautiful that she could stun anyone. As soon as she spoke though, the hot headed mage realized his blunder.

“Hi,” she said while laughing and snorting, “My name’s Ashley.”

Zhi wondered why his guild mate was laughing, but him getting so damned sick on the boat made up for the snickering behind his back. With smiles on their faces, they reached the main land. Slade ran over to the two girls that awaited them, but for some reason, Slade reeled back as the woman stated her name. Zhi shrugged, looking over to the other woman. Her hair was slightly wavy and her eyes seemed to pierce through his mask like small laser beams.

"Hi, my name is Mary Kate!"

Zhi instantly hit one knee and pressed his lips against her hand, flashing a bright smile. "Wuju do me the honor of allowing me to meet your parents, my dearest Mary?" If he was going to be playing the part of the doting boyfriend, he might as well go all out. It would be a hell of a lot more fun that way.

As Slade heard his comrade’s words, his sickness suddenly returned. He couldn’t believe Zhi pulled that line out once again, though apparently it worked. After the introductions were out of the way, they were greeted by more people. The girls’ parents showed up and the young Dragon Slayer was confused.

Oh that’s right... that was in the job listing…

“Yo,” Slade said while waving, “I’m your daughter’s sl—boyfriend.”

He’d almost slipped up and that made Ashley angry enough to send a jab to the young Dragon Slayer’s gut. Once the second round of introductions was through, they sat down at a restaurant so that the girls’ parents could get to know their daughters’ boyfriends. That’s when Slade began to sweat; they didn’t really give instructions for what they should say.

“So what do you do Slade,” the girls’ father asked.

“Oh,” he said and then flashed the cockiest smirk ever, “I’m the best mage ever at Blue Pegasus!”

The woman blushed at Zhi's actions, Ashley looking slightly jealous that her 'boyfriend' wasn't paying that much attention to her. It didn't take very long for the quartet to move into the restaurant, where they were greeted by the parents.

"Hello there, my name is Zhi Wuju. It is a pleasure to meet you." After a respectful bow, the lot of them sat down around a table. Zhi couldn't help but laugh as Slade gave off a grandiose lie, but hey, why not? The question was now directed at Zhi, all eyes hitting against his mask. A smirk tugged at his lips as he snapped his fingers, small purple portals opening up around him as a show of power.

"I'm a Wizard Saint. Don't spread that around though; I'm the Saint of Espionage. One could refer to me as the Secret Eleventh. Very top secret stuff, but considering you'll be my future family soon, I don't think that will be an issue."

Wiz… Wizard Saint?!

Those two words were all it took for the young Dragon Slayer to spit out his drink. He had to admit, he was pushing it for him to be called the best in his Guild, but a Wizard Saint? It took every fiber in Slade’s body to resist the urge to reveal his friend’s profession. As much as he wanted too though, he knew it’d only ruin their mission.

Things seemed to be looking bright as the parents nodded in approval. As the young Dragon Slayer took another sip, he noticed something touching his leg. After he’d check to see who it was, he realized that it was his date’s.

Did I not outshine Zhi, was the first thing to pop into Slade’s head.

That, however, wasn’t what was on Ashley’s mind. Apparently she’d leaned her head closer to his. With a grin on the Dragon Slayer’s face, he landed a peck and then shivered after he heard the girl’s parents comment on how cute they looked together.

The young lady named Mary blushed deeply as Zhi's gradiose lies kept being spun, only for his speech to stop as he noticed Zhi's uncomfortable positions underneath Ashley's touches. It took everything in Zhi's power to not laugh out loud at what was going on, but he didn't want to compromise the mission for the two of them. He noticed that Mary was making a move also, her hand brushing up against the Samurai's thigh.

The man wasted no time in pressing his lips against her own for a quick moment, only to reel back with an innocent smile as he watched her swoon and hit the back of the seat. As the parents told him that they look amazing together, the samurai flashed a thumbs up. He was going to play this part of the boyfriend to the very fullest, even if the slayer wasn't enjoying his time here.

The food then came and while the young Dragon Slayer wanted to pig out like he normally did, he decided not to. Friendly conversations could then be heard while Slade went into autopilot mode. It wasn’t like him to just sit there and be quiet, but he had a job to do and had to be on his best behavior.

After laughter filled the air he engaged in it as well. Slade was putting on a show while his true self wanted the night to hurry up and end. Suddenly music started to play and that’s when the young Dragon Slayer was hit with a curveball. Everyone started to dance and he had a feeling he’d have to as well.

“Care to dance,” he said, pulling his date around to hit the dance floor.

Just as they started to, the music quickly changed to a slow song. Once it did, Slade’s date clung to him and he continued to hear her parents comment on how adorable they looked together. It made the young Dragon Slayer very uncomfortable.

As the conversation between him and the parents went on, Zhi could feel himself fall into sort of a lull, like he was a plane on autopilot. He was trying to be excited about this for as long as he could, but even he had his limits. He almost closed his eyes underneath his mask, ready to fall asleep from the absolute boredom he was tormented by. He watched as the slayer and the blonde woman danced to music, smiling wide. It seemed that Mary was a lot more enclosed than her friend, but that was okay.

Instead, Zhi took the time to go an request a song. A new musical lacrima hit the booth and the sound of Bruno Mars echoed throughout the room. Uptown Funk.

With that, Zhi's burning passion for dancing singed more souls than even the Flame Slayer's sparks could. As his feet hit the floor, his moves wowed everyone. Everything in his body flowed. He was alive.
