Name: Zaltac Nivalis
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Birthday: 7-13
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics: Suffers from degration of sight, practically blind yet uses the aura of others to see and recognize people. Is spiritually aware of one's aura.
Personality: Zaltac is a cold, and cruel, solitary figure. He holds an unrivaled hatred for those who rely solely on magic to do their bidding, due to him losing his eye-sight in a raid by Dark Mages. Be it Legal- or Illegal- he hates many if not all other mages. With this in mind, he idolizes those who can use their natural strength -without enhancements- and produce heroic feats. This brought him to taking up the way of the blade, and learning how to feel his surroundings with a fighting sense. Though he eventually learned that Magic existed even in those who used the sword, taking the elements of Wind-Earth-Water-and Fire into their beings to bring out the true strength of their souls. Though his grasp on this idea is weak, he believes that it is not relying on magic even when he learned how to bring forth a weapon out of thin-air. "I do not rely on casting spells for power. My power rests within my arms, legs, and mind alone." He has vowed to bring an end to the "Corruption" that has plagued the world; and free everyone from their reliability on Magic.
Though he prefers to be alone than with others, Zaltac is able to make quick and logical decisions as a leader. When put in command, he will lead his team or squad to the shortest path of victory despite the risks. He does this, as he believes it forces others into a position where they are to use their true strength over their reliability over magic. "Put a man in the face of death, and he will be transformed." Should a member fall, he will leave them behind to finish the mission first before tending to their wounds. This act of irrational and heartless behavior results in him putting the stress of the mission on his shoulders alone. For he trusts no one else but himself to complete the mission.

Likes:
- Zaltac loves training, endlessly. If he is not doing a mission, he can be seen within the training grounds; never eating-resting-or stopping as he improves both his sword arm and his martial skills to strengthen his body.
- Zaltac loves to fight mages, and win. This helps prove his convictions true; as he is able to out perform those who rely on their magical power with his heart and mind free of Magic's corruption.
- The lone-wolf enjoys taking time away from training to do one thing, assisting others in hard work. This does not mean just missions, but helping someone raise a wall, build a roof, plow/till a field, anything to get him feeling connected to what he belies is the purity of the soul.
Dislikes:
- Zaltac hates magic with a passion: not only for causing his blindness, but seeing that even the higher government is held within its grasp; he sees it as a form of Corruption that is slowly draining the strength out of the very souls who use and abuse its power.
- Zaltac is a strong and independent individual. As such, he hates the cowardice of others who choose to work with others to complete simple missions and tasks. Though he sees the reason for strength behind numbers, he does not trust others to follow up with the strength he believes he provides.
- As one can see, Zaltac is very-very-aloof from others. This being the case, he despises public events as it takes him away from training. He also hates answering questions from those who are around him, as gathering in public tends to result in questionnaires.
Motivations:
- The tales of Old Yore that he grew up hearing about and reading: Men armed with sword and shield charging into battle against beasts despite the odds and coming out victorious. Meeting anyone who resembles such heroes without relying on magic keeps his spirit up as he believes that "True Strength" has not faltered and vanished out of humanity, yet.
- Hard working civilizations without magic, farmers working day in and out on the fields, constructors using their own arms and hands to build up homes and buildings for their people, and blacksmiths working hard by hand to construct armor and weapons -even magic based weapons- for the greater cause: These also show an emblem of the "Strength" that has yet to be corrupted by magic in those who live in this style to him.
- Hearing of the dedication of others and their dreams. Despite his aloof nature, Zaltac admires everyone's dreams and enjoys listening in on other's conversations about what their goals are in the end. Even if he does not agree with their methods to acquire those goals he can respect their heart's determination and admiration for obtaining strength.
Fears:
- Having to change his depiction of what "True Strength" is to include that his ideals about magic are wrong. Mostly created by prejudice, Zaltac fears that his ideals are wrong and in situations where he falters it gives in to making irrational decisions to prove his convictions right.
- Due to being blind, Zaltac has lost his perception of the real world around him as he gazes at the auras of living creatures. This said, he fears that the world is not as he envisions it, and never wishes to treat his eye-sight. He would rather live in bliss and ignorance than to see the world and its beauty.
- Zaltac is not completely naive about the concept of Strength, and knows that physical power is just as corruptible if one was not careful. This being said, he fears his own progress and growth to the point where he fears his very weapons as well. This prevents him from taking another sentient life, as he does not wish to corrupt his idea that "True Strength" is obtained solely from the body, and not by outside sources such as magic. Though he will beat someone to near death, he cannot bring himself to out right end another's life.
