Name: Vendredi Sanne-Léa (Vohn-druh-dee) (Sahn) (Lay-uh)
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Birthday: December 4
Sexuality: Who knows?
Special Characteristics: Not really
Personality: Vendredi has a quiet personality, but is not shy nor easily manipulated. However, she is quick to anger and feels emotions completely, but nearly always keeps a straight face so it's difficult to tell this. Additionally, after studying body language and observing people for so long, it is extremely difficult for someone who does not know her very well to tell what she is thinking. Vendredi holds a grudge against people and can sometimes be quick to judge them based on things that they do, more than what they say or act like in defending themselves. She is very loyal, and Vendredi's worst pet peeve is when people lie to others, no matter how "small" the untruth it is. She doesn't speak very often, and therefore combined with her usual stone carved face, it's difficult to tell what she's feeling or if she actually is angry or not. Vendredi cries easily however, and for practically any kind of reason can tear up (including yawning and sneezing). This annoys her because people always ask if she is crying, and she has to say yes because she doesn't want to tell a lie. Despite the whole lack of tearduct control being quite annoying, Vendredi tries to act like it does not bother her.
When meeting new people, Vendredi introduces herself and is quite nice, although perhaps a little bit aloof. She tries her best to stay neutral in fights and arguments between friends, or even in general, and some people can appreciate the rare ability to stay neutral when being tugged at from two opposite ends. Vendredi is a highly intelligent person, and comes off as some what reserved. She does act as nice as possible, and prefers to support others rather than stand in the spotlight. Although the girl has a hard and unflinching exterior, inside her mind is mostly a mess and spends most of its time thinking and pondering upon things. Vendredi is not a philosophical person, and does not think about what the meaning of life or such is-- rather, she spends time analzying things, composing stories, or simply imagining. She is very loyal to her friends and is nice to strangers, and internally is very sweet. Vendredi typically is very modest, but secretly likes to be complimented.
In battle, Vendredi can act in any way. She often plays a more supportive role if possible, healing and shielding her allies while debuffing the enemy. However, if she's not in a team situation or there are already people who wish to support, Vendredi wants others to do what they are most comfortable with, and then will take an offensive role. Front line charger with a sword and shield, archer with a bow and arrows-- she is a jack of all trades, and perhaps a master at the more supportive roles. Additionally, Vendredi is talented at wielding a set of floating daggers and a bigger floating, circular shaped blade, which are used in her main and preferred style of offensive fighting, which combines melee attacks with the ability to take many hits without losing too much health. In this style of fighting, the girl usually assumes a front line or near to there position, and can take orders telling her where to charge and who to attack first. Vendredi prefers to be under the command of some one else, but when it comes to combat situations, she can sometimes be the person who is whispering battle strategies and information into the leading officer's ear. She is not manipulating them for her own good, but rather is trying to suggest the best courses of action for the entire team.
Vendredi is not overly good at infiltration, because she typically assumes an honest and straight forward approach to everything that she does. However, Vendredi has an ability to see through all lies, which has stemmed from her hatred of liars of any kind, mixed with her magical bloodline of keen sight. She can notice minor twitches, or even the slight rise and fall of one's chest that might indicate whether or not they are lying. The girl understands that everyone plays a role in combat, and knows and supports the idea that doing what is best for the team could often mean making a decision that could negatively effect you, or cause you to get nothing personally from your effort. However, Vendredi is a witty person, and can argue if she doesn't believe that something is right. Among her friends, Vendredi has gained a bit of a reputation for arguing with people, since if she deems that they are either lying, not being completely truthful, or simply being fake or unpleasant and the other person does not notice. She feels protective of her friends, and is open to new ones-- but is quick to judge them, of course, even if she doesn't immediately kick them out of the group of anything. This is useful in combat situations when it comes to enemy spies, because she can successfully gather information on them and control and direct the flow that they are receiving from.
Likes:
- Reading - Vendredi is an intelligent person, and enjoys reading. She finds time to do so in her spare hours, and will devour the contents of practically any book, be it a compilation of mystery stories, or a history of Fiore.
- Fighting - Despite the fact that Vendredi always tries to maintain peacful relationships with people and get them to do the same, she enjoys combat, especially with her personal and preferred, close up style of fighting.
- Listening - Vendredi likes to listen to people talk about how they feel, and what they're doing recently. She doesn't really like to talk about herself, but will listen to other people speak and analyze the information, make any suggestions that she feels are necessary, and then follow whatever orders she is then given.
Dislikes:
- Gossip - Vendredi likes to hear what other people are thinking, but not about other people. She just wants to know how the person she is chatting with is feeling, what they've been doing lately-- that kind of thing. She hates gossip, as Vendredi is a straightforward person.
- Liars and Lying - This is one of the things she despises the most. Any sort of lie, no matter how "small" it may be, gets on the girl's nerves and can quickly cause her to become furious. They also cause incorrect information to be gathered, and when a team makes plans based on that data, terrible things could happen if people don't end up being able to do the things that they said they could. This has happened to Vendredi in the past.
- Pride - Vendredi doesn't have any problems with doing what she has to do. No job is beneath her, which is why she fits easily into a team as a support role, ranged attacker, or anything, really. This girl has seen what can happen if people have too much pride-- they get cocky, they refuse the help of others-- anything, really, and nearly all of it bad.
Motivations:
- Knowledge - Vendredi has a thirst to learn and is motivated to take in any kind of information she can come by. She is quiet and attuned to her surroundings, and always watching... that might be a little creepy, but it's true.
- Fiore - After coming from a small country that had been demolished by dark wizards from another nation, Vendredi is determined to protect her new homeland-- Fiore. She will do whatever it takes to eliminate the corruption that lies within it, as well as to defeat the dark mages that lurk around the bright and cheerful land.
- Ambition - Although Vendredi is not a very assertive, nor power hungry person, she does have a driving will to constantly be improving herself. She would like to be a powerful mage some day, and is working towards that goal.(What motivates your character in life?) 3 minimum, bullet point them individually, with at least one sentence to describe them.
Fears:
- Flying - Vendredi has a fear of flying, which is not necessarily a fear of heights or a fear of falling. Back in Ionia, the tiny nation that she was once from, any mage that had the ability to fly was considered to be cursed by the gods or by the devil. Even though Vendredi wasn't one who believed that sort of nonsense, she still refuses to fly if she can avoid it. The girl has no problem with those that use the power of flight, however.
- Salt Water - Ionia is a country where the ocean is considered to be cursed, since sea monsters lived in there and the monarchs did not want the citizens to go wandering around and being eaten. Although Vendredi is intelligent enough to know that this was a false tale (and she was quite annoyed, with it being a lie), she still retains a fear of the ocean or of the sea. Fresh water like rivers doesn't count.
- Ionians - All of Vendredi's comrades were killed in the incident with dark wizards years ago. Although the girl is strong and typically does not fear death, her comrades haunt her dreams some nights and keep her awake the entire time. Because of Vendredi's strong sense of loyalty, she feels that she let them down and can't let it go, even though she knows that their spirits would never haunt her.
General Appearance
Height: 175 centimeters
Weight: 58 kilograms
Hair: Vendredi has naturally dark black-blue hair, but it turns different colours along with her clothes and weapons. It's typically worn all down with a single clip on the left side of her part (Vendredi's left), and reaches a little lower than the waist.
Eyes: Dark green-- think a bit deeper than emerald
Skin Tone: Light to medium. Tans easily, with no freckles or visible blemishes.
Appearance: Vendredi is tall for a girl, and always stands straight up, not hiding her some what imposing stature or attempting to be cutesy or girly. She is not a tomboy and does not have a buff or overly athletic body, but does have a sturdily built form because she is often on the front lines. Vendredi's clothes change a lot because of the nature of her magic, but she can typically be seen wearing a plain, knee length black pleated skirt, along with a white long sleeved blouse and plain black ballet flats. An inconspicuous outfit, as are most of her daily wear attires. ((This is short, sorry about that-- Vendredi's appearance changes very often and her every day clothes are pretty much all the same))
