The Devil Slayer looked up from his vodka and remembered quite a couple of things over the past, what, four hundred something years. Hundreds of years of being shunned, ostracized, rejected by the world. A solitude hell, some would call it.

Constant glares and screams of terror followed Shunsuke wherever he went. Same was true for the rest of his clan, who was notorious for their incredibly violent and disgusting handling of jobs and assassinations.

Constant attacks by Rune Knights. Bounties. Hit orders. All of which bellowed behind the Devil Slayer wherever he was to be found. He had hardly any friends, probably excluding Yugi Sparrow, who he had known since teenage years(Shunsuke ages slowly, but still looks like a twenty-year-old man), but he hadn't seen that man in a while. Asides from him, he had pretty much nobody to talk to, nobody to laugh with, nobody excluding himself. If only it were that easy to gain friends...

    Anaconda 1.

    The Solitude.

Shunsuke's morning routine started out as usual: get out of the velvet bed, get some damn clothes on, go to the bar, drink something, start stalking. Though he had started to break the habit more than I care to admit: it pained him a little bit to see people with what he didn't have.

The Devil Slayer didn't even bother to shave or do anything of the sort today, he just walked to the bar, poured a glass of tequila, drank it down, and laid his head on the barcounter. Just your average day with some tweaks. He was almost ready to go back to sleep, but the cooling effect of the alcohol in his throat kept him awake just enough to look around the guild hall.

If it weren't for being in the guild, Shunsuke would probably be sleeping on a brick floor in Magnolia just waiting for the Rune Knights to arrest the hell out of him, but luckily for him, there seemed to be people who shared in his ideologies.

Rolling from her lazed position on the cold floor, the feminine figure pushed herself upward with a light grunt of effort, sleep still clawing at her conscious, its grip still holding steady. You could almost consider it odd that the female slept, seeing as she wasn’t human, but she did this as a habit. Everything humane she did as a habit, nothing really on purpose. The purpose for her sudden waking was the familiar sound of footsteps before the clanking of glasses and pouring liquid. It was a familiar routine, she could note. A routine that stunned her a bit. The female hummed softly, stumbling to a standing position and pulled her arms out behind her, stretching. It helped reposition the pixels that made-up her form, a shudder climbing up her spine at the familiar pleasant feeling. She didn’t focus on it long before Kukki began to step towards one of the only presences in the room, bright crystalline orbs flickering to the surroundings that wrapped around her figure.

There was nothing to notable, so she continued her path. “What are you so down about~?” The words barely registered in her mind before she had spoken, lightly plopping her form onto the bars counter with a quiet thud. Her voice came out hyper as usual, but curiosity leaked out more than it should’ve. She knew she shouldn’t poke around in others business, but she could never help it. If she saw someone she wasn’t that familiar with, or wasn’t familiar with at all, she wanted to know everything about them, this was barely one of the odd things about the female.

Reaching out towards the counter, she began to lightly drum her fingers across it, her tongue flicking out to wet her dried lips. She could faintly taste sugar, but it was enough to pull her free hand into her pocket to pull out a small, hard candy before popping it in her opened mouth. “You seem like you just got hit by a bus.” Another sentence she didn’t bother examining before she spoke it, orbs flickering towards the male who she had sat near. She wasn’t expecting a response, really, but she thought she’d still try.

One ping, two pings, three pings, she could hear them all on her webs as the sentinel silk had been placed all over the guild if someone moved she would know and she would know where they were. Two more pings close together this drew her attention as the spider queen rose her six red eyes opening slowly and her children all skittering to help her as she rose, "Now now children~" She giggled softly something that resonated through the guild hall as she did so. "How are the breeders?" She quickly skittered through her webs to one covered in three human shaped cocoons one still squirming and the other two deadly silent, "One still alive hmm?. . . Inject him." She laughed softly as she went over to her "entrance" of her web and skittered down it towards the main portion of the guild hall while her children began to bite at the then still moving cocoon.

"Oh what a gathering hmm?" She laughed as she walked up to both Kukki and Shunsuke when the smell of profuse alcohol abuse hit her nose and she felt like vomiting, "Ughhhh how can you humans drink that stuff? It smells worse than rotting food." She held her hand over her nose to block the smell as best she could but in the end it was worthless to try. "So why are you two so. . ." It was at that point when she fully realized who she was around and without even a moments hesitation skittered over to Kukki and picked her up pulling her into a hug forgetting what she was saying within that moment, "Well hello cutie!~" She laughed softly and pet the hair of the pixel woman, "And as for you Shun why in the world are you sitting here getting drunk off your ass?" She was genuinely curious as human always intrigued her.

The Devil Slayer began to hear a flickering sound. He was far too lazy to actually turn his head and find out what it was, but when he heard the question of “What are you so down about~?” he cocked his head to the left and to the right, a little violently, and saw
a figure with blue hair, and some crystalline-looking orbs around her. Only after rubbing his eyes with his hands, balled up into fists, did he see who she was. Kukki, one of the more....weirder members of the guild.

"Isn't it rude to tell someone they're ugly or something?" Shunsuke replied to be told that he looked like he had gotten hit by a bus. "This tequila and vodka helps me stay up during the day; it's the only reason why I can get on with my life."

Okay, Shunsuke was a little bit of a drunk, but not like Cana or something. He literally just recently learned that drinking a beer or something tends to clear away the problems of the day. In reality, what it did, was drown feelings of sorrow and crap, but it was good enough for the Devil Slayer.

Anyhow, the Devil Slayer(I haven't found a good epithet for him besides this) began to drink some more of his vodka when he heard scampering. It was that spider, Inerta, who he had seen outside the guild hall way back when.

Shunsuke blinked twice as the eight-foot-taller embraced the Candy-Make Mage, and felt a little agitated at having to repeat himself.

"I drink to make myself feel better."

Kukki laughed, tilting her head back as she did so. As her short lived laugh died away, she watched the male through the corner of her eye, smirking as she did so. “Rude..?” She sang the word, it was meant as a question, the usually naive female pretending to be even more oblivious to the fact she was being incredibly rude, “It’s called honestly, mister drunk~” But before she could make a motion to say anything else, let alone move, a familiar woman joined the party, leaving Kukki to grin happily. She had already gotten used to the sudden appearance of spiders around the guild, despite how much she was deathly afraid of them. The female shook her head somewhat, tossing one leg over the other as she leaned back, most of her weight resting on her arm that perched her upward.

Though, as she was brought into an embrace, Kukki quickly laughed cheerfully, returning the odd hug. “Inerta~!” Kukki sang the spider woman’s name happily, lightly pressing her head into her hand. She enjoyed the physical contact, greatly, which wasn’t odd for the bluenette. Any type of physical contact was fine with her, as long as it was violent sense it always seemed to rejuvenate her, which was even stranger. At his words, Kukki tilted her head towards the male seated at the bar, raising one eyebrow questionably, “I thought it’d make you more depressed than usual? Doesn’t it, doesn’t it?” It was a stupid question, obviously, but she still decided to ask it.

She looked down at the Kukki in her arms and giggled petting her hair some more before turning back to Shun, "She is correct would profuse drinking not make you feel worse off than when you started?" She meant this in a non threatening or rude way and smiled as she pulled out something from between her bosom, "Ah Kukki I heard you like these~" She quickly handed the small girl a lollipop that was blue and blue raspberry flavored. One she had done that she "sat" beside Shun with Kukki still in her arms, "If it is anything I can help with you can ask." She smiled closing her lower eyes only so as to keep eyes on the area, "Since we are partners in crime working towards the radical shift of the world~" She laughed and whistled as she was feeling a bit peckish and within moments a two foot tall spider brought her a small cocoon shaped like a human arm.

"Ah sorry bout this~ Wait no I'm not!" she quickly opened it revealing an actual human arm as she messily devoured it but not before setting Kukki onto her abdomen so that she was sitting on the skull symbol. "Ahhhhh that was nice!" She laughed some meat still in her teeth and a bit of blood on her bosom. "So now. . . If you need help. . . S-Shun I think it was?" She rubbed her temple with one of her chitinous fingers trying to make sure she was right, "Anyways what IS the problem? You seem down and out already and yet we have a goal to achieve!"

The Devil Slayer turned his head left and right, up and down, so that the bones would crack. Then he ground his teeth a little bit to get rid of the food he last night. Afterwards, he replied with this:

"Alcohol tends to drown out certain aspects of my life that I don't feel entirely comfortable remembering."

Asides from all of the death threats, warrants, arrest attempts, and ghastly looks, drinking a fresh one was quite literally the only thing that kept Shunsuke happy and able to thrive sometimes.

The trait comes from his grandfather, the Venom Devil. After all, it was in a bar that the two met for the first time. Anyways, if you gave me a dollar for how many types of alcohols both Shunsuke and I knew about, I'd be a rich man. Four hundred years is pretty good to the soul in terms of knowledge and intelligence.

Tequila, gin, rum, vodka, whiskey, brandy, and so on. You name it, Shunsuke's drank it. I like being able to delve into his backstory, as I think about it, it gets even more fun by the word. Back to the point, he drinks because alcohol causes him to quite literally "live in the moment". That meaning he forgets everything that's happened in his life. But something was weird today. It was like no matter how much beer or gin or rum the Devil Slayer drank, he couldn't drown out those thoughts. Like someone diluted the alcohol overnight or some crap. But I don't think someone would be stupid enough to do something like that. I mean, it takes getting into all of the beer bottles, approximately four hundred of them, and pouring water into them or something. Why do I keep getting away from the point?

So like I said, it was like the alcohol wasn't working for him, and he was entirely vocal about it.

"It's like this damn alcohol, no matter how much of it I drink, won't even work today."

Kukki cocked her head to the side slightly, curiously staring at the male. It wasn’t confusing at all for her really, neither did it startle her. Everyone here had their own messed up past that they may or may not want to forget, well, Kukki didn’t regret her past really, she barely remembered it in a way and barely had a reason to be in this guild. She’d only killed a few people, was a pile of sunshine and rainbows, and didn’t have a past she’d want to forget. She was completely misplaced in such a guild, yet she loved the misplacement. The female shook her head from side to side, bringing herself back down into reality, only to have a lollipop brought to her attention. “Candy!” Kukki happily yelped the word out before launching herself towards the lollipop, grabbing it and lightly plopping it in her mouth with a ‘pop’. “Thank you, Inerta~!” She tried to speak around the lollipop, hoping to female could understand her grateful words, but didn’t bother removing the treat so the spider-woman could understand her.

She wasn’t fazed much from being moved from her hugged position to lazing along the spider-womans abdomen, faintly listening to her chow down on a human arm. It didn’t much bother her, what she was interested in, she was interested in. That’s how it was. The bluenette slid from the abdomen and hopped back up onto the bar counter, crossing one leg over the other comfortably. It wasn’t that she disliked sitting up there, but she’d prefer here for the current moment and with swift movement, she snatched alcohol from the male before loudly placing it down on the opposite side of herself. “If it won’t work, you have no use for it.” She wouldn’t explain herself, she didn’t even have a reason for her actions despite her doing them, it was just how she worked. Flickering her blue gaze back between the male and spider-woman several times, Kukki finally released a heavy sigh before pulling the now bare, lollipop stick from her mouth and flicking it behind her, grinning as she heard the rustling of plastic as it fell into, what she hoped, was a trash can.
Now with her mouth void of any type of sweet, the female felt a bit empty and immediately hoped from the counter before sliding towards one of the cabinets, a smirk climbing its way onto her face. “Where is it.. Where is it.. Aha!” She cheered happily from her dangling position, pulling her head out from the cabinet to reveal a bag of assorted sweets, this sudden movement quickly unbalancing her. She didn’t bother attempting to stable herself and allowed herself to fall, barely falling a foot before she began to lazily hover midair, reaching inside the candy bag to pull out one of her favorites. “There we go~!” She spoke with a relieved tone, pulling out some kind of small hard candy before popping it into her mouth in one swift motion.
