You merely adopted darkness

Finally, the womanly figure had managed to empty the last can of gasoline across the wood paneled floors inside the guild hall. The place was dark, unoccupied and she was the only one stirring inside. Everyone had gone home when it got later into the night or vacated to the guild dorms across the way. Satisfied, the stranger dropped the cans of flammable liquids inside and turned around proudly as she headed to the door. They swung open those guild doors to make an exit, unsheathing the box of matches brought. She swiped two of the fire sticks at a time, tossing them behind her with her leave. With the loud, hot searing sound of a whoosh, flames wafted and birthed from the gasoline… quite literally lighting the whole place up inside. The presence known as Famine stepped her way down those steps that lead to the flaming hall. Once at the bottom, she gave the gate a light push, the metal frame creaking as it opened and swung behind her.
Famine stepped around the body she had left behind at the guilds entry just outside the squeaking gates. The corrupt woman’s slit eyes met the kill silently.
A brunette girl, although small she couldn’t be any older than seventeen. Her fingers were curled in gently, they rested inwards slightly without as much as a quiver. Those narrow eyes of hers skimmed over the corpse as she came to step over it. Eyelids were veered wide; the bodies’ sapphire colored irises were dull and clouded. The figure of Famine bent to her knees at the dead’s side as if to give a final inspection. There was a crevice split across the surface of her throat. Blackening red clumps had already begun to dry but the stream didn’t falter. Red paint gashed from the valley of a throat slash, spilling over the surface of her neck. The substance, blood, had well eased its way down the sides of her neck, running over the ebony colored tattoo. Without any mistake it was the emblem of Fairy Tail and a symbol of allegiance to the guild burning before them... Rita Stebern had received the mark the day she coyly stepped in those doors.
The building continued to veer up in flames behind the silhouette of the murder. Famine brushed a hanging length of coffee tinged hair back into the stream of her locks, keeping it from matting in the blood that pooled around her victim’s head.
Turning back to the raging flames enveloping the interior of the hall, she clambered back to standing. And slowly she stepped away from the corpse, padding her way off the streets to vanish into the darkness before anyone else could arrive at the crime scene.
I was born into it
