Maiden snatcher Apollo's dark past

Apollo decided that he was tired of sitting around and decide to go do something productive...or so he thought anyway.  As he walked out for his guild hall with his job in hand He sighed at what would be a long day.  As he walked towards the forest he sighed no sure how he was going to rescue this girl.  I mean obviously he would have to fight but this mission made apollo a little nervous.  As  a defensive mage is actual offensive ability was pretty low and this made him worried that he may not finish the job.    No matter what the priority was getting the girl to safety nothing else mattered if he could do at least that then he would call it a good day in his book.  He looked up at the sky and sighed.  Vulcans were such a pain to deal and he hated doing it,  plus he usually had people with him to back him up.   As he drifted through the streets he saw happy people running past him totally oblivious that this even was happening.  I suppose ignorance is bliss and that it didn't concern them so why bother anyway,  besides thats what he  was here for after all.  he got to the edge of town he looked into the forest "well here goes nothing I hope she is still safe"  He mutters quietly looking into the woods, his guilds backyard.  He straightened his tie and started to make his way inside the forest.

As Apollo made his way into the forest he could hear the sounds of creatures and critters buzzing and jumping. If he wasn't on a job this would be a very nice place to relax and think about life and it's endevers. As he walked he thought took a moment to think about his life in Fairy Tail. In the past couple months the guild master has switched a lot and Guild mates came and went...sometimes without even a simple goodbye. These tough made Apollo stop and look towards the floor of the forest for a brief moment thinking about his life more. "was joining Fairy Tail a good idea..." He mutters to him self now doubting his decision to join this guild in the first place. He trembled a little bit clench him fists. As birds chirped around him he looked up wondering What Eliza would have thought of his decision was he right or wrong. He couldn't help but think of her last words..back to her death which only reminded him of his curse then ritas passing... this made Apollo take a knee out of anxiety. He couldn't go on like this He wouldn't be any use like this he'd only bring disrepair to the girl and himself, He had to collect himself but that was a task much easier said then done. Glimpses of the past kept flashing through his head as a few tears went down his cheeks "Eliza...why...why did you leave me..." He cried softly as he recalled her death.

It was a sunny day in a field as they ran around with each other. Eliza and him were in the same foster family that lived in Magnolia and were together for as long time. After his families death he was put into foster care program and that's when he met Eliza. Eliza and him were pretty close the first day he went to the foster home to meet this old lady who had a bunch of other children. You could hardly call this a home, it was more of an orphanage then a home which made Apollo more skeptical. Apollo was about fourteen when he entered the home and meet Eliza, he could remember that day clear as a bell. He remember her in a yellow and white dress running up to greet him as he hid behind the person dropping him off so he didn't hurt anyone.. Before he could react he was already being pulled away by her this scared him but in a weird way he felt alright. A he was dragged into the hows the girl looked back at him and smiled "I'm Eliza by the way whats your name?" She asked giving him such a carefree smile. "A-Apollo..." he muttered. she laugh and simply said "welcome." She say as she stopped dragging him and let him stand on his own feet. Apollo nodded not wanting to get close to anyone especially a nice girl like her considering He thought it was his fault he was here in the first place. But little did he know there fates were intertwined already and no matter what they would reamian apart or each others lives forever.

The next few days were rough to say the least. Apollo didn't talk to any of the other children. He usually was just quiet and read a book alone so he wouldn't hurt anyone again. This went on for three days of him just reading by himself but then Apollo could feel someone starring at him as he was reading. He looked up to see Eliza standing there leaning forward with her arms behind her back. It was an awkward silence since Apollo didn't want to make friends and Eliza wanted him to say something. Apollo sighed after several second which felt like an eternity to him and decided to see what she wanted. Right as he was about to speak she cut him off. " What are you reading?" She smiles brightly at him. Apollo took time to figure out why she was so friendly towards him. "About about defensive magic" he muttered quietly. She nodded. "That's cool i'm learning how to use wind magic." she smiled. Apollo didn't want to be rude but telling her that he didn't ask or care but just nodded and attempted to go back to reading. but she then took the book from him "Lets play together" She smiled. "Apollo just shook his head. "I wanna read" He muttered. She gave almost a sly grin then stood on her heels. "Alright...then come get your book" She ran off with it. Apollo couldn't believe what just happened to him. "Hey!" he called giving chase to get his book back.

As Apollo gave chase after Eliza. Other kids saw him chasing he but did nothing to stop her. "he must have chased her around the house about fifty time before he was was winded and ran out of breath. She stopped and skipped over to him playfully. Once she approached him Apollo looked up panting tiredly. "aww we done already?" she giggled at him cutely. Apollo felt bitter but was was to tired to think of a classy responses and sighed on all fours. "Can I please have it back" he pleaded wanting to do nothing more then just go read and be alone. She bounced on her heels "Hmmm nope" She smiled at him. Apollo looked at her confused. "Why huh why are you taking my things why are you doing this" He sad in in a a tired but demanding tone. She kneeled down in front of him shaking her head. "simple silly your always reading come have some fun once and a while the other kids may bite But I don't" She smiled. Apollo shook his head "no I don't want fun I just want to be alone ok" He said bitterly. "But you were just having fun weren't you..." She asked curiously. "No..." He answered quickly. "then Explain this smile in your face" He said pulling out a pocket mirror showing Apollo's reflection. It was a shock for him to see it but he was smiling...he was having..fun." He immediately smacked the mirror away. "No... no.. no Keep the book and leave me alone!" He shouted running off not looking back Because if he had he would see a tear running down her eyes which is something he couldn't handle

Apollo ran to his room shutting himself inside. Apollo was fearful of what just happened he didn’t want to make any new friends, he just wanted to be by himself as he sat in isolation help but wonder why she wanted and have fun what difference it makes to her if he was having a good time or not. Apollo considered himself cursed his family his friend died right before him and there were too many people in this house that he could affect, he already worried about Eliza. He was determined to leave the house you want to be here, he didn’t want to hurt anybody else. The next few days nobody really saw Apollo At all. He came out for meals and that’s about it. About two days later as Apollo was packing his bags to leave this house he heard a knock on his door. He didn’t answer maybe people thought they just go away. He wasn’t that lucky though regardless of whether he would have answered not the door opened. There she stood Apollo’s book in hand looking towards the floor. Apollo stared at her and shook his head “what do you want?” He asked with confusion on his face. See how the book forward and very quietly spoke. “Here’s your book back….i’m sorry.” Apollo can help accept her apology and she returned his book. Before Apollo could speak Eliza saw the bags he was packing. She tilted her head still a little upset “are you leaving?” She asked. All Apollo could do was nod that she looked very bitter and sad.”

As she stood in the doorway is shook her head. “You can’t leave..” She muttered quietly. Apollo shook his head. “Yes I can watch me , I don’t belong here..” He muttered darkly. She tried to take Apollo’s bags. They argued where they struggled either of them making any progress. After a brief struggle the bag fell between them and they both fell back. He just stared at him and then shook her head a little bit. “You do belong here” Apollo was convinced that she was just repeating everything that he was going to say. “Well then why do I belong here, tell me that” you want to start to gain her composure again smiling at him. “Well… Because silly you’re my friend.” she smiled a little bit more. Apollo shook his head “I told you I don’t want to be your friend I don’t want any friends” he muttered quietly but loud enough for hear. He sighed figuring she would leave shortly after he was amazed when the opposite happened he felt her hugging him. Apollo was put off by this not knowing how to respond to the situation before he could she let go of him and smiled brightly at him. “Well I’ve already have decided that you are you my friend so yeah” she smiled all Apollo could do was sigh “but… I’m cursed” he muttered sacredly. “Well lucky for you I’m lucky” she said happily and from then to the age of sixteen no matter where Apollo went she was hooked at his side.

Ever since that day life for Apollo was going better thanks to Eliza. While he was still very quiet is more active about what he did and he was less scared of life. He had a pretty good grasp on his shield magic by now and Eliza was good with her when the magic. Eliza had bought Apollo out to a field just outside Magnolia. It had tall grass and wildflowers. Blooming all around as long as Apollo has known Eliza this was her favorite spot to go to. It was clean, it was brisk, and there was a lot of open space not destroy anything with her magic. She had bought Apollo here to train one day because magic was forbidden the house it was. As they trained they warning each other out and just laid in the grass or a while. “Hey Apollo” She asked him very sweetly. Apollo at her and gave a nod. “You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to but I was wondering what happened before you came to this place.” She said looking at him concerning. Apollo’s just sigh and gave the answer he always gave. “My curse killed my family so I ended up here” she turned sharply for Apollo could react. “You say that every time I don’t know that means you explain… Please” Apollo just looked into her eyes figuring he couldn’t deny this question anymore. “Fine… I explain it once so please listen closely” he sighed recalling the past.

Apollo looked at Eliza. “I suppose I will start at the beginning in the past five years I have lost six people extremely close to me through different means… So I figure anyone close to is just going to die. Eliza just looked mortified Apollo has at least lost one person a year if not more she can blame him for being scared to make friends. Before she could speak Apollo begins speaking again “the first one to go was my mom she died of a disease the doctors didn’t know of, next was my sister May, she slipped on a flight of stairs and hit her head to her at the bottom.” Apollo took a breath before continuing his memories hard to bring up he didn’t want to go to detail he knew he couldn’t give long answers so he just kept giving short answers. “My brother was next… Here’s being bullied to the point where he killed himself, N-next was my dad he died on a job so he could feed me.” Apollo was having a hard time finishing up but felt Eliza’s hand on his. She gave him a nod and he took a deep breath. Next I went to go my big sister who out of the house… But it was a short reunion as she was murdered by a Dark guild, the last person was my friend Rick’s house since I ran out of family, but Magnolia had a big storm his family and am wiped out, having nowhere to go to put in the foster care and here I am… That’s my curse” Apollo said trying to hold back his tears not wanting to cry in front of Eliza. Eliza was not having it she pulled Apollo into her chest “please cry..” She asked gently for Apollo knew it he was crying. After a while crying she pulled him up and looked his eyes. “When we grow up let’s join a guild together and be together forever.” She smiled at him. Apollo nodded happily “promise” said through his tears and then hugged her.

From then on Apollo and Eliza were together and have fallen in love with her. When they turned eighteen they decided to go on an adventure together so they’d have experience before joining a guild. They didn’t have a clear destination site or just want to see some of the world outside Magnolia. Before he left Eliza gave Apollo something a small box. “What is it?” He asked her to his head. “She just smiles at him. “It wouldn’t be a very good present if I told you what silly” she smiled warmly. Apollo nods opens the box to find a silver pocket watch with a few sewing dogs on the front of it. Apollo picked up the watch. “Eliza would you get this” he asked as he opened the watch seeing their names carved into it. She just smiles at him more “ I don’t know it was with me when I came to the foster home I can only sue my parents give it to me” she says little quietly. Apollo looks at her. “Eliza I can accept this if-“ Apollo gets cut off by swift movement as Eliza closes it in his hand holding it and his hand then kissed him softly on his lips. Once she stopped Apollo blushed a little bit. “Now a little bit of me the matter what happens to be with you.” She smiles happily with a tear in her eye. Apollo wiped this year from her face and hugged her. “I love you…now let’s go” he smiled as he walked off out of Magnolia into the world.

For awhile Apollo was as happy as he could remember getting to travel the world with her anywhere they wanted to go. though little did he know it was going to end very soon because one day on there travels a dark guild wizard appeared before them. “what do you want” Eliza asked timidly. I stood a step forward watching him. “why simply to recruit you into our guild we could us more wizards” He grins. What ever your offering we aren’t interested” Apollo says. Eliza just give a firm nod. I’m sorry to hear that looks like you both won’t be making out of here alive. He grins evilly. As we prepared to fight the whole thing was over before it started the next thing he knew he was on the ground and so was Eliza. He towers over us seeing Eliza not able to move Apollo pleads with the dark wizard “please take me spare her.” He says begging. “oh no your going to live..” he say as he stabs her in the gut. “Eliza!” Apollo cries then looking at the dark guild member. “feed off your hate boy” he says as he disappears into a black portal. Apollo crawls over to her bleeding body “Eliza..” He says crying over her. “you can’t die you promised me we’d be together forever..” Apollo sobs. “We will Apollo I’ll be with you no matter what.” Apollo tries to lift her to get her help but make her bleed more. “Apollo live your life to the fullest… for..the both of us..I l-l-love you..” she says as he dies in Apollo’s arms “Eliza…ELIZA!!!!!” he cries into the sky.

As Apollo sat there with her lifeless body he could see nothing but the tears in his eyes. “why is this fair…why can’t I have anyone…why..” he cried into her. After a while her death sank in and he stood up picking her up and started to carry her back to the last town they stopped at. As he walked carrying her he noticed she had a smile on her face. Even in death she’s smiling so typical. As he walking he was back to wondering why this happened to him why he wasn’t allowed to have anyone close to him. He will find that dark mage that killed Eliza though what happens then is unsure, but he will find him. As he arrived back at the town People looked at the body and ran over trying to help. Apollo didn’t let them though he just told the town what had happened. The only person Apollo accepted help from was a man who offered to cart them back to Magnolia. Upon returning Apollo had set a funeral for Eliza and she was buried in the field she loved so much. A few people came to the reception he held for the funeral mostly people from the home. That night he stayed at her grave for a while. Not knowing what else to do. “I’ll join a guild for the both of us…you wait I’ll make both our dreams come true” He said as he left the grave holding onto the pocket watch.

Apollo took some time to himself after that day visiting the grave every time he could get a chance not for mourning but just to talk to her. Three months after this even Apollo found himself at the Fairy Tail Guild hall determined to join…but not to eager to meet a lot of people. He knew that Eliza would want him to make friends but he wanted to get adjusted first, But this time would be different, once he joined this guild he would protect everyone...or so he thought. His new life was good. He opened upon more to people slowly ,but opened up none the less. But late one evening a tragic even happen as the guild hall burned and Apollo found his guild mate dead and many scattered. Apollo took some time after this event to visit and reflect upon what happened partially blaming himself for not saving her but knowing that this time he couldn’t just wallow he had to keep strong and keep going So she wouldn’t be sad at his decisions. Everything that happened those years Apollo blamed on a curse. Perhaps it is true or not either way he knew that that curse was going to have to work overtime if it wanted to take his guild mates away from him because they were stubborn. “this made Apollo laugh a little every time this thought came to mind. Then on he was more determined to protect his guild, his friends and his new family just as they are sure that they would protect him if it came down to it.

As Apollo thought about the past memories of his life it became quite clear that he made the right decision. He was happy with his life even if he didn’t show it all the time. I stood up looking towards the sky wiping his tears away happy that no one else saw that display. He then pulled his pocket watch out looking at it then clicking it open reading their names and giving a sigh rubbing his neck. “Well Eliza here we go we have to save someone I hope you’re watching me…” He said. Then a gust of wind came by from behind him and then he stumbled forward a little bit as if someone gave him a very light push. Logically that could have been the wind but Apollo deiced that was a sign from her. I shut the watch putting it in his pocket then looked back up at the sky shaking his head. “alright…” he say softly “let’s go” he said as He ran off to find the Vulcan and save the girl form it so no one would have to feel the same way he did ever again. As he dashed through the woods looking he got back on track and started thinking about how to do this job since he wasn’t the greatest fighter in the guild. He dashed through the woods and then heard a scream. Whether that was the girl or not he had to help them since he was a Fairy Tail mage. He headed to the scream to see what it was.

'Monster Dice' :

Apollo hid Behind a tree as he saw a Vulcan terrorizing the girl cornering her after she had run away from it. As he started to formulate a plan while he confirmed the girls identity. It matched the discription of the one he was looking for, But now she was trapped like a rat. He sighed not liking the results of his plan but had to act quick before the vulcan could. "Armor of Agies" he whispered coating himself in a suit of armor. Apollo clenched his fist and as it Attempted to grab the girl "Mirror wall!" He called out. As wall towered between them his fist made contact he yelp in pain as the shock wave went down his arm. he jumped back and as he did Apollo dispelled the shield and ran to it. As he was running the girl saw him and they made eye contact. "Don't worry miss the Fairy Tail guild has arrived" He said with abit more confidence. He ran and jump punching the creature in the upper back. his bod felt soft but hard at the same time. Apollo was no martial arts expert by any regard but if being in Fairy Tail has tought him anything is is how to fight someone i melee combat. as he made contact with the creature he could tell it did very little but he had to keep going with his plan he had formed otherwise there is not alot of ways for him to secure the girl or win the fight.

As Apollo hit the monster he could tell all his attacks  did was annoy it to no end. "don't interfer with me and my women!" it called as it spun to back hand Apollo in mid air.  Apollo went wide eyed for a moment but then his natural protection kicked it blocking the vulcans fist "your mine" he called as he formed a triangle with his palms "Energy Flare!" he called as he shot it up at the vulcans face pushing him back with such force due to the tree.  he stumble over the girl and hit a tree hard enough to crack it "Get out of here miss Juliet i'll explain later" Apollo called to the girl.  The girl quickly ran away.  As the girl ran the vulcan made an attempt to grab her as he dashed forward. as he got with in grabbing range Apollo grinned "Tempest Shield!" as hs momentum was adsorbed into the shield Allowing the girl to escape safely...but the vulcan was less then happy about these current events. "I'm your opponent Vulcan not her fight me first" He roared and begone to charge him out of anger.  "Recast tempest shield"  he called out as it form infront of the charging vulcan blasting him in the face.  but it just hit the shield as well causing it to stumble around for a second. Apollo took this time to run up to it  and shoulder bash it to the ground. As he connected and it fell to the ground he jumped back preparing his next assault.

Apollo just stood there as the enraged vuclan just smashed the ground pissed off.   "I'll smash you and take the girl for my self!"  it yells loudly. Apollo was surprised he was doing this well against this vulcan.  Granted it wasn't a mountain vulcan his plans usually involved him just dodging and running away,  but he knew if he tried to flee from this fight the creature would go for the girl again.  No this time he would stick out the battle a figure a way to win even if he had to re figure every strategy that he had in his arsenal.  As the vulcan got up it just rush him again "that seems rather inefficient stratagey don't you think" He grins a little bit  putting his palms together. As it got closer and gained more momentum.  Guild shield!" he called casting it close to the ground so the vulcan would trip and fall hard. As the vulcan tripped Apollo grin and jumped back as the vulcan hit the ground hard. as it hit the ground Apollo wasted no  time running up to it it hitting it in it head hard as he could knowing that wouldn't subdue it, but as far as he was concerned it was already checkmate for the vulcan as Apollo knew how he would beat this monster once and for all. The vulcans head felt as if he was hitting lead,  It was not a conferting feeling at all but the he felt it rumbling he could tell it was beyond mad.

As the vulcan got up it swung his huge fist in a back hand motion. having little time to react Apollo braced himself as he got hit directly from it. As it hits Apollo his Armor of Agies shatters like glass, and while it took the damage the momentum had sent him flying towards where the girl was. Little did the vulcan know that exactly where Apollo wanted to go in the first place. He caught himself sliding along the ground looking at the vulcan smirking slightly. "come at me monster unless your ready to surrender" He taunted the vulcan hoping to bait him. As predicted it work as the vulcan ran towards Apollo with his arm extended forward. He waited till he was close enough to fall into the tree from earlier. "your mine you puny fairy!" it yelled. "checkmate!" he yelled as he formed a triangle with his palms. "Energy Flare!" he called out aiming for his legs. As if made contact Apollos timing was spot on as he jumped out of the way the vulcan face planted into the tree. "Don't underestimate us fairy's buddy you'll regret it" he says as he runs up to it punching it in its ribs knocking the wind out of it. It falls over knocked ou. Apollo sighs adjusting his tie a little then looking back. The girl was standing there and had watched the whole fight. she couldn't belive what she just saw. Apollo waved and walked to her. "your dads worried about you let's get you home ok" Apollo smiles a little happy he took this job and got time to reflect, but more so her dad would lose someone he loves. She nods and with that Apollo escorts the girl home.
