Well for guilds its best to hop over to the Character Registration section, and use the character template to create your character. For guilds and their availability you can take a look at this Guilds.
The last link shows you all the guilds we have, as well which one are open and which one are closed momentarily.
Either way if you have any more questions, just take a look at the chatbox. Or feel free to send a message to any of the staff. They are more then happy to help you out.

While well informed of the site, I'm am but a lowly player. One who endulges in BARRAGING the mods with the same questions many new players will ask them.
Most players will apply for the guild of their choice on their Character Registration.
"Character registration? Dafuq??"

On the right of your screen if you scroll down there will be a Quick Links section. Click the Character registration button. Afterwards scroll down a bit and you will see a set of pictures with the words:
Character Registration
Positions
Magic Registration
Weapons/Pets
History
Don't click the pictures, click the words on the top left of the picture. Those words are the links to another thread that, when you scroll down, will say:
WIP
Approved
You're gonna click on WIP.
If you look down a bit, you'll see some words in white lettering that says:
*Sticky, template..."
Click that. On it will be your template for what you're registering.
Cop that template, and go pack a page.
Click the "New Topic" button (make sure your on the WIP page)
Paste the template on the chat box, and fill it out.
You can input the guild you wish to join on a section at the bottom of the Character Template that reads:
Guild:
Tattoo:
Rank: (In this part you put the letter "D" since that's the rank you start at)
For this site you must register all weapons, armours, pets, magical items, and spells.
This is to aid the individuals reading the post, and also to keep the combat balanced in the case of PvP, which is a feature on FTRP.

So now that I've registered a character in the WIP section do I register magic powers etc etc or do I have to wait to be approved first ?

Return to the character registration link and the first set of links are the approval threads. These are how the moderators know you've made your edits and are prepared to receiveRIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT i mean their input on minor changes.
The reason I didn't link you to anything is so you can learn the navigations on your own. It makes for better, faster memory.
