Newest Recruit.

There had been tests. There had been tryouts. There had been examinations. There had been sparring between the new recruits to determine their strenght. From there, the recruits had been assigned to certain branches, certain officers, or certain jobs. The amount of recruits remaining had quickly dropped, and near the end, there were only a few remaining. One of them, was a strange female that noone knew what they were to do with. The girl was excellent, even outstanding, in several of the tests. In the sparring, she had sat some of the stronger recruits on their asses, with a type of magic that most of the proctors had not seen before. The problem however, was in the communication. There were many places where she would have fit in immediately, if she was only able to speak or write. Yet, the most the proctors had gotten out of her, was a series of gestures that they were then left to interpret. In short, she was a mystery that they couldn't seem to solve. A mystery that noone wanted to take responsibility for.

...As such, when all the other recruits had left, the girl was left in the main hall of the trainee squad, sitting on a bench at the far corner, while everyone was leaving. There had been a few whispers, and a few individuals pointing in her direction, but at the end of the day, there had been noone who had wanted anything to do with her. Whenever someone had gotten closer, they had felt an aura of dread and discomfort, like a wall pushing them away. The sentence was clear, as far as she had understood it. If there were no squads interested in having her, and noone interested in training or teaching her, then she couldn't become a Rune Knight. So perhaps coming there had been a mistake..?

Shrugging to herself, the girl rose from her position. Dressed in a short white dress with purple flowers all across it, and an equally beautiful purple flower in her hair, she was preparing to leave the trainee hall, and report to the proctors that noone had been interested in her, and that she would be leaving the Rune Knights to find something else to do with her time.

Towa had been in her office filling out some paperwork, she had to be prepared to take on any new reqruits that were picked up for her command. She had gotten all the necessary supply and such, but she didn't expect alot of new members. Her Command was full of the odd ones, people who didn't fit into normal operations. Towa was signing another piece of paperwork when there was a knock at the door. "Come In" Towa called out without looking up. she heard the door open and the sound of hobnail boots on the floor. "Sargent Narida, what can i do for you?" Towa continued without looking up.

"Ma'am." The Sargent snaps to attention, which causes Towa to sigh. "We have one..."

"One what Sargent..." Towa scowled at the man. "At ease," She liked the Sargent but he was a little much at times. "Like i said... you don't need to stand on protocol with me."

The Sargent stands at ease but does not drop his demeanor. "Er... Yes Ma'am." the man produces a clipboard and hands it to Towa. Towa takes the clipboard and looks at it, One name was circled.

"Xana Shikyo..." Towa says out loud, she looks up at the Sargent. "One of ours?" the grizzled man nods. "I see." Towa sets down her pen and stands. "well then, lets go get her." Towa Picked up War and exited her office, heading to the Training halls.

Towa and Sargent Narida walk with a birsk pace reaching the main entrance to the training area. She enters causing more then a few of the Drill Sergent's to snap to attention. Towa didn't pay them any heed, she knew she was not well liked by a lot of the other divisions. It was clear this group knew who she was as ripples of whispers could be heard from the recruits. she walked right through their lines, the recruits splitting to let her through. she entered the hall and looked around. In the back she saw a beautiful girl standing up to leave.

Towa motioned for Narida to wait at the door, which he did by turning around and glaring at the group of recruits that had been watching the two of them. Towa walked towards the girl, her boots causing a loud clacking in the hall as she walked. "Xana Shikyo... I am Towa Lazmira, I am your commanding officer." Towa stopped short of the girl and held out her hand. "Welcome to the Rune Knights."

Standing there calmly, as she swung a small bag over her shoulders, she had started stepping through the hall as commotion was spreading like a wildfire. Whispers, pointing, then the recruits splitting like waves, standing at attention as another started approaching her. It made the girl stop in her tracks completely, as she merely watched Towa come closer. There was so many things with the girl that was out of place compared to the other recruits. The girl appeared vulnerable and fragile. The girl wasn't standing at attention, nor did she seem to have any overly respectful stance about her. Instead of greeting Towa verbally, she merely waved before giving her hand a slight, weak squeeze, before she took a step back.

The pair of scarlet eyes were watching her with interest, inspecting her. The girl wasn't entirely sure what it meant to have a commanding officer, nor did she understand why everyone around them was acting so strangely compared to when Towa hadn't been there. It was all strange and curious to her. Biting her lips, the girl shrugged visibly, almost as if asking what was going to happen next. It was clear that she was somewhat like a sheep. There was nothing that she seemed to understand, and she was clearly there by incident more than choice or knowledge about the Rune Knights doings..

Towa watched the girl closely as she shook Towa's hand, it was gentle and meek. Towa didn't believe a second of it, she cocked her head as she looked at the girl. Not many warranted her Sargent's attention, which begged the question What did Narida see in this girl that made him get her? Towa started circling the girl, looking her up and down as she did. She heard the whispers and chatting grow more intense. "Perhaps this is not the best place for this." Towa grabbed the girls hand and gave it a gentle pull, trying to lead her out of the hall.

Towa would lead the girl through the group, again causing a stir as they were holding hands. She took Xana to her office, she opened the door and let go of Xana's hand. "Please have a seat," Towa Motioned to a chair in front of her desk. Towa went to a small ice box in the corner and got some snacks and drinks for both of them. Setting them in front of Xana before moving to her side of the desk. "So you will be joining my team's if you want. From what i can tell is you were basically left alone by the other factions."

Silently, and without much fuss of any kind, the girl simply stepped forwards, looking around curiously at the other faces who were laughing at her. It wasn't that she felt displeased or pressured by the amount of people. It was just that she wasn't too good at dealing with others in these kind of numbers. It was even worse when one considered that she wasn't exactly great at dealing with law-enforcement in the past. Being grabbed by the hand, however, was wildly unpleasent. Almost immediately, she pulled the hand to herself, looking at Towa with a mild displeased expression...

Although displeased, she followed. As far as she had understood, this person was to be her superior in the near future. This was her stance and duty as a new member of the Rune Knights. Following all the way to the office, when she was appointed a seat, she slowly and respectfully sat down. A drink was placed in front of her, though she currently didn't touch it. Perhaps she was waiting for permission. Perhaps something else was the matter. Either case, when asked wheter she was left alone, the girl merely nodded. Noone had wanted anything to do with her, that much was true.
