Special Characteristics:
♩ There are constantly two small machines plugged around her ears that allow her to hear.

♩ She is almost never seen without her violin case.

Personality:
Astrid can only be described as pure hearted. Despite being born with a severe disability she took it as a sign to work harder and to push herself rather than letting it get her down, making her a very determined person. Whatever it is she set out to do, whoever it is for, she will put 110% into the work without whining about anything that may be troubling her. Of course this can be a serious downfall, as she is prone to piling up too much, never being able to say no to a person in need. If not dealt with carefully she can exhaust herself and burn out the passion that makes Astrid…. Astrid.
With her pure hearted nature also comes her naiveness. Though everyone has a dark thought from time to time, Astrid was never one to follow through with those thoughts and ignored them, pushing them away and out of her mind. However there are times where the nativity is not useful, such as the fact that anyone could push her into something that she doesn’t know is bad, making her very manipulable.
One trait that does not have a downside is her creative nature. Writing music, practicing instruments, and singing there seems to be nothing this girl can’t do. If you need an idea she is the first person to go to, as her head is always swimming with ideas and thoughts.
With these thoughts though she can be seen as a little spacey, usually spacing out whenever she starts to daydream or think for long period of time.
Pure hearted, creative, inspiring, altruistic, spacey, naive, all those words and more can describe Astrid. With her hard working and friendly nature it’s hard to explain her too well without seeing it for yourself.
She can be timid and shy when around many people she doesn’t know, but also fun and ecstatic when around friends. It all veris from day to day, situation to situation, and so forth. But whatever she acts like, it is her true self. No if, ands, or buts.

In battle Astrid is rather untrained. Being an amatur at the thing there are many times where she can mess up or make a goof. However when gone under training she will like to be more of a supportive role, using her music to help others and stay on the sidelines to help. But if pushed into attacking, she has no choice but to actually fight. When that happens the enemy will be sorry. Using her light she hits furiously at the target, trying to finish the fight soon as possible, even if it means getting a few scratches.
As a leader, much like battling, she would use her skills to aid the others rather than fight herself, and would put the others before herself, making sure everyone is safe.
Under a leader Astrid would be like any other. She would follow the flow of things, knowing the leader was in that position for a reason. If they were put in such a position they must have earned it in one way or another. She wouldn’t dare question them.

Likes:
♩ Music: Finally it's not just vibrations anymore! Now being able to hear, Astrid can't seem to get enough of it.

♩ Sweets: Lollipops, cake, muffins, and especially éclairs. Anything sweet and sugary-filled is something she just can’t say no to.

♩ Sunny days: Full of light and sunshine, clear and sunny days are the prime time for everything, making it the perfect day for Astrid.

Dislikes:
♩ Dark subjects: Why linger upon things that will just get you down? Life is short so be happy!

♩ Hospitals: As a young child she had to stay at them for weeks at a time. Even the mention of them now leave a bad taste in her mouth.

♩ Unnecessary Fighting: Though Astrid knows fighting is not always unnecessary, fighting just to fight is something she can’t understand. It hurts people with no gain.

Motivations:
♩ Becoming a first-class musician: It's her dream to give everyone hope through music, just like she did.

♩ Repaying her grandfather: He took her in when her parents couldn't look after her. Now that he's in debt, she wants to make money to help him out.

♩ Silence: After so many years of being deaf heavy silence in a room scares her, like as if she has once again lost her ability to hear.

♩ Large crowds: It’s a little inconvenient for a musician, but because she didn’t grow up around too many people, large crowds overwhelm her.

♩ Failure: So many people have sacrificed things in order to get Astrid where she is today. If she fails, their sacrifices means nothing.
