    Magic

    Caster or Holder: Caster
    Description:
    The user of this magic can create masks using his mana as essence, thus making tribal masks from what appears to be nothing. These masks can be created anywhere on the caster’s body and happen to be quite resistant. These masks, once worn, grant the wearer abilities tied to a specific mask for as long as the mask is both worn and remains intact. To use these abilities, or at least some of them, the wearer must use their own mana, though the drain is not significant depending on the feats one is attempting.
    Morr’s use of his magic as well as the masks he creates is fully dependant on the situation. Most of the time, however, he uses his abilities to aid him in battle as he fights physically. He can use them for protecting or attacking as well.

    Strengths:
    • Versatility: This magic is quite versatile, as the user can cast a mask depending on the situation, picking one which is favorable to him in his current predicament.
    • Allies: His magic can be used to help allies, by giving them masks to supplement their abilities.
    • Low mana cost: The main thing which costs mana in the use of this magic is the creation of masks. After this process, not much mana is required, particularly if using a mask’s ability to manipulate pre-existing substance.

    Weaknesses:
    • One at a time: Barring some odd operation that would give the mage a second face, he can only wear one mask at a time. This means he has to cancel his current mask before he dons another.
    • Mint condition or GTFO: Once the mask is destroyed, or suffers too much damage, it will stop offering its abilities, making it mostly useless.
    • Masquerading without a mask is no fun: Without a mask, this mage has virtually no defenses or magical abilities. As such, sneak attacks can be particularly effective if he is not weary.
    • I need my face: Should something come to obstruct the user’s face before he can don a mask, he will be in relatively big trouble, depending on how hard it would be to remove the nuisance.

    Unique Abilities:
    • Protection from the elements: The user gains a high resistance to the ability of the mask he is wearing, causing a subtraction to any attack of the same element equivalent to the rank of the mask cast.








    Name: Mask of Flames
    Rank:  D
    Type: Fire
    Duration:The mask created lasts until it is destroyed.
    Cooldown: The user can create this mask once again one post after it is destroyed.
    Description: Mask of Flames is cast when the user uses mana to form the mask. The spell only becomes active once it is placed upon a person’s face. This particular mask allows its wearer to create and manipulate said flames as well as pre-existing sources of fire. The flames can only be created within eyesight range, though he can create them with his eyes closed. The flames themselves are produced by transforming the wearer’s mana into the element. The mask will remain active until it is destroyed.
    Strengths:
    • This spell allows its user to create and manipulate flames, allowing for a range of varying attacks or moves.
    • If the user is manipulating pre-existing fire, it is very low mana cost.
    • This allows the user to sense sources of heat and fire in a wide radius, so that he can manipulate it.

    Weaknesses:
    • Fire is weak against water; as such this mask will not be very useful against a water mage who can wield great quantities of water.
    • He cannot change the properties of the fire he does not create. As such, he cannot simply make the fire he manipulates hotter without expending the mana necessary to create more.
    • If no fire is present, he will be forced to use up more mana, on top of that which was required to form the mask in the first place.
    • The user cannot choose what he burns; this means that he cannot differentiate between friend or foe when using his magic. Whoever is in the way is at risk, and he cannot change this.

    This isn't yet completed, but if a mod sees any issues with it I'd like to know, as I don't wish to work needlessly on a bad concept. Also, ideas are welcome, as I have yet to add 2 abilities and 3 spells.
