Post by Lef Draedel 16th June 2015, 11:28 am

    Name: Morrem Draedel
    Gender: Male
    Age: 24 years old
Birthday: February 31st (Or so he claims)
    Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics: Morrem’s left shoulder is decorated by a dark, ritualistic tattoo.

    Personality:
Morr is a rather nice guy who won’t mind going out of his way to help others in need. He was raised in a barbarian’s village in the mountain, and as such came to value honor as well as those who could take care of themselves. He believes that he gains more honor by helping others, as they are thusly indebted to him. So, to some he might be perceived as a helpful, useful and quite kind individual, when in reality his motives are not as pure. The once barbarian upholds that bargains, if made, should be honored no matter the cost to either parties. If the man believes he owes a debt to someone, he will do his best to repay it as quickly and as well as he can. Otherwise, Morrem is a simple man; this is not to say that he is stupid or does not think before acting, but rather points to the fact that simple things satisfy him. In the past, he was quite unsure what to do with his life, he’d lived in his village all of his life and knew not what to do once he left it. In the end, he decided that it did not truly matter. He was not one to preoccupy himself with the future, his or another’s, and opted to remain this way. If something looks fun or interesting, he may try it regardless of potentially risks to himself. He remains headstrong and brash individual who throws caution to the wind much too often, defying societal norms if they hamper him. He has an odd manner of speaking, one that involves giving choices that aren’t, in reality, choices.

The rather good natured man takes an odd twist when it comes to battle. He, in fact, relishes combat. The more violent it is, the purer it is in his mind. He will rarely ever back down from a challenge and will always do his utmost. For him, fighting isn’t exactly, a sport, really. In fact, it is much closer to the barbarian wars he participated in during most of his childhood and adolescence. A barbarian’s code of honor does not truly travel into battle, at least not in his tribe and not in the way some might think. Once fighting, no punches are pulled, dirty tactics are not shunned, no, they are revered as ingenious and a mark of true skill. However, there would be a distinction to note here; combat is meant to be one on one. Instances where there was a gathering of the many to attack the few only happened when a true blood feud was held between the clans. A mark of his honor code is keenly present after battles. Whether they end in demise or otherwise, he will always take something from the opponent, to symbolize the honor the other has lost but also because, according to him, fights should never be meaningless, a risk should always be present or the battle was meaningless, brining great dishonor to all those involved. In his particular case, he is slightly lenient towards those not born barbarians, allowing them to pick what they give him. If they fail to offer anything – or if Morr finds that the other party is attempting to slip away from their debt – he will simply take his prize by force. This usually ends up being in the form of fingers, though, or in extreme cases, even a whole hand. This truly illustrates the risk, and besides, Morr needs to keep his stocks at a tolerable minimum. After all, his famous soup won’t cook itself, and certainly will not gather it’s ingredients on its own. The man is known to keep his collection of trophies somewhere in his house, though he carries a few around as good luck charms and to show off to any of his old tribesmen should he cross them.
Morrem would rather not have to work under a leader, but knows when to follow orders, though in battle it might be harder to make him do this. His experience with his clan leads him to believe that the one with the most honor should be chief, and that they gain respect by gaining honor and strength. Others are allowed to challenge the chief, yet if one loses, he gains much shame and will need to work quite a bit to own up to himself.

    Likes:
    • Honor: it is central to his way of life, and something which he tries to gain for the simple fact of having it. The feats he needs to accomplish to attain it are secondary to the actual honor it gives him. It goes without saying that he likes honorable, straightforward and honest people.
    • Fingers: they are the secret ingredient of his soup, but besides that they fascinate him. Even while still attached, or all dried up, their shape, their texture, taste, color they truly fascinate him. Incidentally, if he tells you that you have nice fingers, it’s kind of a compliment. Sort of.
    • Oxen or Cows: they were truly vital to the survival of his village and besides, he always liked their serene expressions as well as what they brought to a relationship.

    Dislikes:
    • Sheep: they hold dark expressions of malevolence. If you have not seen one yet, it is understandable that you do note despise the creatures, but once you have seen one, you are without excuse. They could be plotting under their wool and you would never know it. That’s why a good sheep is a sheared sheep. Preferably cooked and on a plate, too.
    • Shame: Morr truly dislikes shame, and will do all he can to avoid being shamed. After all, once one is shamed, he loses honor. On top of this, the barbarian dislikes shameful people, those who live in shame and do nothing about it. He finds such actions despicable, and they bring more shame upon the dishonorable, making him dislike them even more.
    • Debts: these, particularly debts of honor, are things that Morr would rather never have. As such, if he ever contracts any, he will do his utmost to rid himself of them speedily.
    • Cowards: Morr believes that any who would take no risks are simply unfit to live. They bring shame upon themselves, and the man usually refuses to entertain such company as they would shame him by their mere presence. He would kill them if he could, but that would also bring him shame, unless they ask for death themselves, thus solving their debt of shame once and for all.

    Motivations:
    • The pursuit of honor: As stated previously, Morr’s main goal, if it could be called that, is to live an honorable life, accomplishing feats which grant him great honor.
    • Travel: if Morr holds no specific future goals, he wishes to travel and see many sights and places. Preferably whilst thinning the overall sheep population.
    • Enlarging his trophy collection: He already has many trophies, but would want to have some more. This implies fighting grand battles and taking great risks to do so, but he cares not.

    Fears:
    • Sheep: Morr does not experience actual fear in regards to any one specific sheep, but rather appears to have deeply rooted paranoia in regards to their kind. He believes they are always plotting behind his back, and as such should be slaughtered after being sheared. It is not because something is malevolent that one will not make the most out of it.
    • Eternity: For some odd reason, Morrem does not wish to become immortal; after all, it would remove any kind of risk to his life, and rid him of much honor. As such, the prospect of living forever rather frightens him.
    • His own cowardice: Morr is not a coward, and would likely make the being stating this pay for besmirching his name; however he fears that one day he will become one. He does not believe there is a risk of his becoming a coward, yet a small voice in his head murmurs of the possibility, and he fears it.

    General Appearance

    Height: 6’2” or 180cm
    Weight: 190lbs or 86kg
Hair: It is of a dark crimson at is almost always slicked back, sometimes tied in a tail.
Eyes: His eyes are of a steely blue.
Skin Tone: His skin tone is slightly darker, like one who has lived most of his life in nature.
Appearance: Morr is a tall individual with a well-toned musculature while having a slim build. His ears are pierced, and he often wears a form of earrings. His face, when unmasked, has harder features yet retains a youthful smile. The latter can be unnerving to some folks, as his teeth appear to be filed into points. His clothing changes at times, but his pants are almost always baggy though they slim down past the knees. Dark leather boots with soft soles are his main article of footwear and a leather belt with a red sash left hanging most oft adorns his hips. He is often seen wearing a mask, though if this is by his magic or otherwise is hard to say, yet these masks are more often than not rather stylized. Leather gloves with what appears to be claws hide his calloused hands and a form of weapon can be found in either hands or belt. This is often a sort of oaken mace with metal spikes, or even a carved macuahuitl.
